Can we address the elephant in the room which is the gotcha card system. I wish more Koreans would complain more. It’s still the worst system in the game. I know it makes them a ton of money but it’s time for Smilegate to drop their cash cow ego and help everyone.
The truth is, they need to activate previous players of lost ark who invested time, and took a break. I came back, and couldn't do the most recent three raids, and no groups to do thiamine. If they had just provided a way to get ahead of thiamine, then at least we would have more a chance to get into raids, even older raids seems impossible to find a group for. Game is so dead, and they fail to fix the core issue. Who wants to spend more time farming shit for months, being unable to participate in the most recent raids.
I love the concept of surge being 1 big skill, that makes a hard main as its ceilling its high. and then breaker exists, souleater exists is so much bs. that need half effort and does the same damage
if these devs are at least competent enough, instead of nerfing classes they should just buff other classes that is underperforming, why touch the good class? they are just being lazy, prime example is when they wanna study the classes, dafuq? we are already in Tier 4 and just now they are going to study them? f cking hell. HAHAHAHA its like they are sniffing each others aholes in this point.
Smilegate's greed caused them to ignore all the problems people kept telling them to change with the game and now they're suffering the consequences. The sad part is they could have easily turned this around at the start if they actually listened to feedback. Rarely do you see such incompetence.
They need to address the reason new players get gatekept and give rewards towards that goal. Give them a roster exp boost until 200, they need LOS30, bound lvl.8 gems, the permanent combat stats from potions/card sets, skill points, tripods, and they need a ton of gold to hit 1620 and level up other alts. The other major reason is they are terrible at the game. The current solo raids are nerfed so hard that all they have is some semblance of the mechs and that's it. They will be nowhere close to being able to do the raid on normal(while doing expected damage) for reasons beyond the mech changes. They have a free revive, the damage of attacks is way less than normal, the boss hp is closer to 16x lower than normal instead of 10-12x and they do the raids over ilvl. Make a solo mode option with no revive, 12x lower boss hp, full normal mode boss damage and forced ilvl with disabling any features beyond the raid ilvl and then give them a ton of rewards for being able to clear it once. This puts them a lot closer to average skill and gives them the rewards needed to play with other people at the end if they choose to do so.
Good suggestion at the start really, although i would say Giving full LOS is not gonna happen, maybe give like LOS 18 at the start and increase the ones spawning from merchants, roster xp till 200 is indeed needed as most people gatekeep anyone with a questionable roster level, Bound lvl 8 Gems are also good, but in my opinion they should be limited to like 5 Total, most new players anyway come and make characters with express events so they get 4 (2 CD & 2 Dmg) Lvl 8 gems; they should let them be able to get some more but held behind 1580 + Requirement. Also, i don't know if you played solo mode, but there is no free revive there, you die -> reset gate, just like normal, Solo mode is meant not only for new players but also players who simply have no time so they just rush it instead of party finder. Normal boss damage point i would agree but not fully, unlike normal raids where you have a support shielding you, here u counting on urself, they should increase the dmg, but not to normal boss damage, that is just too bad. Hp bar yeah fully agree with that one, it won't affect solo players if the hp is larger, (not as large as a full raid) but let it be larger than it currently is. Good suggestions though
Just delete elixirs and transcendence garbage system and buff all classes or nerf boss HP to make up for it. These redundant gold sink systems need to go.
I still read and watch the storyline only once but most online RPG game stories are total garbage these days. Lost Ark story is okay... nothing special. RPG games had good storylines in the late 90s and early 2000's before they became online games. I heard final fantasy online games have good storyline but then their battle mechanics are mediocre. I guess you can't have everything.

I will always say this, lost ark is not helping the right audience too much content for RMT players only. the most toxic players are the people who act like the game doesn’t care about the endgame when ITS ONLY focusing on the damn endgame. Lost ark failing cause of the wipe mechanics, gatekeeping, and wack gold prices imo.
21:30 Yea not only they should get rid of purple Elixir but Every Normal/Hard progression split bullshit. Like transcendence or Relic/ancient gear on new season.
took me 2 weeks to do voldis and another week to do north kurzan in one character when i came back to the game in july. If T4 story takes days to complete I will probably take a month to do it
i wish the just let elixers drop with stats and then when you find the right DMG rolls you can juice them up like items to lvl 5 cossistent overtime with special material like honning
If they release every new raid normal mode on solo mode/party finder and just go hard mode on pugs if you want something more challenging would be super nice dude
It's all well and good what they give us, but the factor in gatekeeping is that almost no one has LOS-30 and that's the big problem, does anyone see, oh, they only have LOS-18 gatekeepers. I've been playing the game for 2 years with almost 10k hours of play and still don't have a LOS-30, they have to be set up again by the dealer, Bahltor gone, new Legi card e.g. Therin or Nineve Shanti these are the main cards that are rarely dropped or just increase the drop rate
Everyone wondering why people play solo. Have you thought about why they do that? Its cause they either got gatekept, the party their in got them jailed and wasted time, or they want it done without spending lobby sim for hrs on end
imo the point of raiding is for gold and solo barely gives any. and isnt it bound gold now? wont be able to use that bound gold in the ah when ur trying to buy better accs or even engraving books when ur switching to t4 build. i think solo is good to learn mech etc but not a thing u should always do as raiding is everyones biggest gold income
@skrtiee you right but at the same time you either get jailed, spend hrs trying to join a party and constantly get denied. This problem has been here since the game started the way. There's almost no alternate. Yea you could join a static but how would that work for others who barely got time and just trying to finish the weekly hw what would be their solution. What about the people that get gatekept cause no LOS 30, it took me 2yrs to get mine is the solution for them to swipe? At the end of the day these problems are causing these people to not be able to raid and solo is providing a better alternate solution to these on going problems
@@shurenshimitri5874 yea i hear u, games js designed around gatekeeping bc people dont want to waste time with someone who potentially dont know mech bc they have 5 other toons they need to finish for the week. it may always be a problem sadly. but i dont think people should look to solo forever bc that bound gold will cook them in the future for sure, unless devs make a change to bound gold but i doubt it bc the whole point of it was so bots couldnt use it in ah.
@skrtiee the botters will always adapt as long as there is demand for it. AGS can try all they want I haven't seen a game that has prevented botters to stop fully only slow them down.
people can't even do echidna hard mode because the dps requirement is very tight too. One person dies and its a reset if your not pass basement mirror mech
most changed are to late anyway, the grind is to m,uch, the walls are to much u cant keep up without p2w or playing 259 chars. Wont solve anything u basically need to give los 30 full 9 gems 1620 free rroster 300. Wont ever happen so its whatever.
@@hullgreen8677 iam not talking about myself, but they pretty much have to give that to everyone if their new. Wont ever happen, maybe gem 9 will at some point. But yeah gatekeeping isnt solvable with this game design. And they keep it up that u need a high af ilvl to acces anything.
@@ryouma6901 people from birth we compare so even if they gave out what you asked, unfortunately in a multiplayer party game there's going to be some form of comparing one another and gatekeeping. Everybody always finds something to differentiate one from another.
@@hullgreen8677 the issue with lost ark is that they keep adding new separate RNG-based systems as the means to differentiate one player from another. yes it's great they are making elixirs and transcendence a little bit better, but they are adding more card sets for the sake of getting a bit more profits, they added a new RNG-based (bracelet-like) system for accessories, and they continued on with awful class balance changes in T4 to fomo players to swap classes (like new class releases).
Personally I think if they lower the ilvl req to 1640NM and 1660HM (and nerf the raid accordingly to the ilvl adjustments) it's completely fine SG messed up by making the first T4 raid have such a high ilvl requirement especially when it's the one that let's you finally get started with the big shiny new thing which is ark passive
I think 1650 for NM and 1660/1670 for HM is good too. If we take into account that Behemoth and Echidna will go up to 1640 in maybe few month to gives us more t4 mats if you add a third raid at 1640 it would be a bit too much especialy for new players. Even more when they will get refused because no elixirs or transcendances. 1640 would be way too early i think or you'll need a very big nerf and I don't know if it's really the best to do.
+ transendence is way more painfull than elixer it is way to much to do 7 lvl on each gear it took me 100k to get 40set on 2 char and 400 to get lvl 7s on just my main
Why lost ark dont make solo server for a new player i think thats gonna be more healty environment for them. After they get a certain level they can transfer their chara to main server
you mean the incoming ignite/express server? It's coming Sep and all players in that server only plays with each other for a while until they graduate to other server.
They did that 1 time, you know what happened they got gatekept, and they only accepted players that knew the raid. If they don't have los 30, when they transfer to the main server, they will likely be gatekept anyway if they try to join reclear
@@shurenshimitri5874I played on jumpstart server and this did not happen. Lot of learning groups there and after transfer to the main server you could play with others “jumpstart server chars”. It was good and the reason why am in the Game.
@@hmmm8850 they need to make ignite servers permanent instead of an event that comes and goes. BDO does this to entice new players to try the game so they can get to the endgame grind fast and it works great as a business model. new players get dropped off at a point where they need to grind (where they can engage with the game and start to swipe for skins/power) and don't have to wait for 3-4 month intervals for powerpass/express/ignite events.
@@shurenshimitri5874 they need to make ignite servers one time use only (or better yet until you have 6 characters to 1580/1600 across all servers) and make them permanent. the way the prior jump start server worked made it so veterans would simply use it as another express event instead of it being a server for new players. with serverwide character ilvl limitations in place, veterans would no longer be able to infest the ignite servers with as much gatekeeping and make it a better server for new players to round out their roster instead.
With Behemoth releasing 11/09 T4 should be 25/09 so to have at least 3 weeks before Aegir. I would have rather have T4 before Behemoth than Behemoth before T4.
They need to just make elixirs and transcendence roster-wide. Do it once and your entire roster enjoys the benefits. What is so hard for these devs to understand, PEOPLE DO NOT WANT TO INTERACT WITH THESE SYSTEMS, ESPECIALLY NOT FOR ALTS.
i just play for fun nowadays instead of pushing my main to end content :) . what's the point. Its incredibly expensive. And the way ags do this is ...........
Same here, I started a few weeks ago but Im having fun trying different classes and exploring the world and islands. I don't care about endgame content and having to play whit more people
honestly the way things have been going, you'll be able to get to what is currently endgame for free in a couple months. no harm in just being patient and collecting the free content that game provides.
i quit 2 weeks ago best decision i ever made going back to warframe that has 40k players on steam not like lost ark 15k +bots included it will die soon anyway had fun playing it for 3 years but is over!
If you combine zeals and saint viewers you can tell game has always had max 10- 15k players for over a year. losing 1 veteran is not end of the world for AGS or Smilegate
Working hard to hurt their own game then attempt to salvage it after the damage is done. More solo modes would help then people can play a lot more casually without worrying about party finder. The ability to do a solo self found mode would be nice.
