I have the Raider GE76 Deluxe Edition 12UHS, but it is always at full capacity. The temperatures are very high, especially when I edit videos. A few days ago it turned off by itself while I was editing. Does anyone know what the best BIOS settings would be?
@@XyonusTV well uhm, I own the same laptop, but the newer 2024 generation with 14th gen I9 and I get temps no higher than 70C either way. To me, whatever I do, it still gives me 20 5xx on time spy.
Bookmarked! Thanks a lot for this! Can you share under what profile you got the score in cinebench?Performance turbo etc Mine scores 32500 with manual profile and -80 bios underclock your throttle stop options would also be appreciated, or even a video about the scar with optimizaiton tips etc
@@XyonusTV yeah, I read their comments, I left it on the reboot loop for like 10 mins, reopened, repasted, loosed screws, tightened them back up, nothing worked lol. just sent it to a shop. wish me luck
@Xyonus how has this reapply held up? I was wondering because i have a Scar 18 that has a gpu that is thermal throttling and was wondering if i should do the Conductonaut Extreme Liquid Metal or the Kryonaut Extreme Thermal Grease?
@@XyonusTV i planned to buy this Laptop. But looks like Buying High End Premium Laptop these days just like Doing *"Gacha"* Even Alienware has issue in Keyboard etc. Man.... Money can't guaranteed everything
@@XyonusTV Is not about easy to repasting or not! The real problems is if some kind of Hi Tech brand had kinda small easy issue like this simple. it's mean their resource quality has to be questioning. this will not be the last. Remember when AMD had small wafer nano that Impact their types of CPU? yeah and also gigabyte? I used to have Asus Rog phone who had issue in OS who happen to be pain in the ass. think they fix it but then... Naay they won't
I doing repaste today on my Scar 16 i9-13980HX RTX4080 I bought it a week ago. My factory paste is worst than yours with all spots. I face a reboot loop issue after repaste. I try to reopen and see any leak but there is no leak. Turn out it pressure on the cpu and gpu screws. I am loosen it a little and reassemble it. Now, my laptop boot like normal. Temp are on 49*C on watching youtube dropped from 60*C after repaste. It hit me little heart attack when laptop is in boot loop. lol. And one more thing, my fans are touching with lower black plastic cover because they are loosen when i am unscrewing it. Beware of the black cover sticker at the botton of the fan. Thanks for the video bro! Also Cinebench is 27k on turbo to 31k! big improvement. I am only undervolt -80 on bios and that it!
what's your idle temperature and on operating temperature? mine idle at 60'C or 140'F. when doing web browsing and playing video at the background at max 80'C or 176'F. Just to let you know, my ROG Strix G15(2022) did some RMA last year to change the motherboard (expect the technician did the repaste). When gaming, mine go up to 95'C or 203'F
Top for people who did this and didn't spill and didn't get their laptop to turn on, it just sitting there with the keyboard glowing... I thought i messed it up! But no.. hold your power button with the power cord unplugged.. it will do a cold boot and will then properly boot. It likely is a result from unplugging the battery.
Legend! My laptop had a massive hotspot reaching 110 celcius.. on heavy tasks especially on stock GPU settings it could randomly go into an emergency shutoff and.. only fix was a heavy heavy down clock and hope. Did this (my first time doing liquid metal) and carefully and its amazing.. hotspot temperature is now only 4 degrees celcius above the also much lower gpu temps.. i max out at 80 celcius with no undervolt and an overclock applied even.. fans are much more silent and the shutdowns are gone! Asus does not know how to apply liquid metal.. thats for sure.
Thank you so much for sharing this! I had no clue where my performance had gone to and my CPU would instantly spike to 95 degrees.. Throttlestop would help occassionally but i really just wanted to fix it. Upon opening there was literally no liquid metal left in the middle of the CPU.. I retook your steps and bought myself some Thermal Grizzly Conductonaut and now we're back to idling below 40 degrees on normal tasks. Thanks again for showing how it's done.
Hey just bought the exact same laptop. Does your trackpad sound a bit springy when you press it? (Maybe this is normal for asus laptop trackpads, idk) I hit 31369 on cinebench stock. I feel like these laptops are hit or miss with some of the QA.
@@XyonusTV Hey, thanks for the reply! I was about to return it to BestBuy for exchange of the same machine. But, I guess I might have a Unicorn lol. Does your CPU fan have an audible hum at low rpm as well? Other then a few quarks, this is a beast of a laptop.
Ce parere ai de problema majora cu procesoarele recente de la intel ? Ai intalnit ceva suspect pana acum ? E cam jale din ce observ. Am si eu un i9 13900hx cumparat de vreo 2 luni.
I just purchased the asus g732lxs99 with this processor , 2020 model must have been a customer return.. came w dead battery and the light bar not working on right side for lighting effects that wrap around front and sides.. $1298 lol brand new.. pretty much.. I believe it is the led controller/driver attached to the bottom cover.. not a very smart design as when u pull the bottom cover off the ribbon cables that are connected to the motherboard are usually tugged hard and damaged...
Hope i didnt damage anything on my zephyrus g14. Comp never shut down but I recently noticed my cpu temps about 92c while playing TFD. Been gaming on it for about a month now. Its never had any performance ISSUES persey, but i started paying attention to how fuckin loud it was, thats when i caught the temps. The gpu is fine, but the cpu is BAD. Ordered some liquid metal, a gt600 pad, and some gelid thermal pads and im redoing the ENTIRE laptop tomorrow. How would I know if i did "perminent" damage to it?
I have a Dell G15 5521. On the F12 menu before boot, i can run diagnostic test and i can test everything on the laptop. Check to your device has diagnostic test option or not.
My problem right now with my g18 4080/13980hx is that it scores really high(34500ish), but 4-5 cores are always throttling along with power limit and current limit throttling. I can apply pretty aggressive undervolts in xtu, -.150core, -.100 pcache, -.150ecore, -.040igpu, -.040 system agent, and the system seems stable scoring around 38000 CBr23. Yet it always thermal throttles. I’ve even dropped core ICC to intel’s recommended 215a vs stock 240a, and it still throttles. Idk what to do, I started looking into it due to a constant stutter in games. Should I repaste?
i need help man, i have a scar 16 but the left fan when on high speed is making a vibration sound, did i assemble it wrong? Update: I'm dumb the plastic folio behind the fans were bent that's why it made a sound fixed it. In the end i didn't add extra lm but spread it and gained 5-6 degrees on the gpu for performance mode. Not bad
Is the heatsink the same model as the 2024 Strix Scar 16 version? I have placed my order and its arriving soon and I plan on respreading the LM as shown in the video. Also is it fine to attempt this without having extra LM paste?? Im hesitating whether or not I should risk opening up the laptop and realizing that I didnt have enough paste to begin with.
@@XyonusTV I currently have no access to buying it as conductonaut extreme isnt sold at where I live :(. I was wondering if using the spilled Lm would be enough to cover both heatsink and the die?
Hey mate, i havew the same lapètop but perform really bad, elden ring can't stay on 60 fps at medium. can you tell me how to set the laptop (undervolt and armory crate etc) thanks from heart
How's the CPU and GPU thermal on this one when you play on med graphic? I wonder if the laptop itself able to handle high graphic setting for any type of game for about 2-3 hours of game play?
I guess my laptop dies. I was very careful for LM. Adter i did repasting laptop resets and not get logo. I wait like 5 mins and laptop resets in every 30secs. I guess need to send to rma
@@XyonusTVI would like to upgrade my ram to 64gb (2x 32gb) and I’m not very knowledgeable on the compatibility for the board I actually almost bought the same crucial 2x32gb 5600 that u said won’t work to the other person. Any help on what 64gb ram that’ll work would really help a lot.
