I noticed in your earlier videos about RSI trend strategy, you used Weekly for your RSI trend but for this APPL example, you used Daily. Is there difference to use Weekly or Daily?
Thank you for pointing out to SCTR line. One of these days perhaps you can highlight how to write a scan for identifying the stocks over 70 on SCTR line? I use it on my dashboard at the top right corner and it gives SCTR based on top 10, Bottom 10 and the one's that are improving/declining etc., BUT not based on numbers like 70 or 80. Always enjoy this daily recap. Looking forward to your Small caps Big dreams podcast on Wednesday! Best wishes.

Mary Ellen, thank you for the info you share. I had some difficulty with the sound. You voice was a bit distorted. You might want to listen to this to see if it sounds different than usual. Maybe a different mic? Maybe it's just me.
It is not clear to me if StockCharts helps any investors since neither does Keller nor anyone reveal his/their ytd portfolio performance much less his/their sector choices much less his/their stock lists. Are there any investors who will provide some indication that StockCharts helped their portfolio performance ytd? My portfolio is at 13.6% ytd 2024jul19 with my energy sector at just 5.4% while my transportation sector is at 21%, the winner right now and cannot figure out if StockCharts would help my portfolio...
Hi Dave! Glad you mentioned the SCTR line, I wasn't familiar with it. I found an article in Chart School that gives a good explanation of it. Thanks for all your efforts to help us learn!
Yeah, funny how Lyn Alden about 1 or 2 years ago said "I would avoid tech and growth stocks now, and look at value stocks." And look at what happened since then.
@@AngelicStreak Whether it's 1 or 2 years makes a big difference, because if they said avoid growth stocks at the start of 2022, then that's good advice, but if they said it at the start of 2023, then it's not. So, you will need to give a more specific date for us to judge whether the advice was good or bad. Market timing advice is time dependent and will definitely change over the period of a year. Also, Lyn Alden is a macroeconomic analyst who looks at longer term economic trends, which is a completely different type of analysis to those who look at shorter term technical chart patterns and trade on a shorter term basis. So, I don't see how anything that Lyn Alden said over a year ago is relevant to the present video.
Great content as always criminally underfollowed! Joe do you think there is edge for retail investors to focus on smaller stocks since they are not crowded by algos of the big guys?
Thanks. Yes, I think there is if you are willing to look for bigger trends rather than short term trades. I would be sure I use a volume screen and some form of fundamentals screen first to narrow the universe. SP600 does some of that for you. But, yes, good time to start doing that in my opinion.
