Welcome to my Hobby room which is where my completed Part-work builds such as the Back to the Future Delorean from Eaglemoss, the Routemaster from Hachette and the Super Snake Mustang car and Shelby Cobra and Mitsubishi Zero fighter A6M5 from Agora were built, Iron Man from Fanhome. Videos of modifications for part-work model builds and hand painted / air brushed model aircraft mainly WW11 such as the Mosquito, Hawker Hurricane MK1, Bristol Blenheim, Lancaster Bomber, P51d Mustang a Junkers JU52 transporter and a Spitfire MK11 from my Hobby room. Other ongoing part-work models are Hachette's Titanic, Spitfire MK1A, Eddie Stobart "Twiggy" DAF F2200 the Ghostbusters Ecto 1 from Eaglemoss plus the Knight rider car K.I.T.T from Fanhome, Valentino Rossi bike from DeAgostini are all on my channel. Also I like to watch other builders projects and love a bit of banter. Any mistakes are ad hoc. Take care and don't spill the paint.
Hi John. Fabulous pair of videos, like you i am really impressed by the gorgeous artwork in the magazines. I'm enjoying every moment of this build so far and ain't that fantastic. Excellent stuff John 😊 thank you.
Lots of information there for others John, you would make a good postman 😂😂. Jokes aside John, this has been a wonderful build so far and looking forward to the completion of 👏👏👌👌….
I’ve enjoyed the titanic build but I find to many parts are fragile I’ve snaped few bits over last 2.6 years too much plastic need more metal parts . But will still look great tho .
nice one John thats what ive got to do, take off the boat deck and sort the wiring out as the lights on the third funnel dont work so i,ll be doing the same as you
Hi John, Another great video; thanks Pal. Can I ask: will you be doing a video about all the modifications you've done to your model? I thought about this when you mentioned "some painting you have to do," but I know you done other things that aren't necessarily in the instructions. Eg: Forecastle hatch. It would be good to see a summary of the additional modifications. All the very best, Si
Una duda!! Las cubiertas una vez ensambladas van de alguna manera atornillas al casco o simplemente van encajadas a presión, no he visto que hayas atornillado nada entre las cubiertas y el casco. Gracias
Hello John. Thank you so much my friend for abit more clarification on these decks, still not got my next issues yet, it'll sure be interesting 🤔 It's seems from what I been attaining from various group pages that problems are a bit varied, but the posts issues seem to be the main one, and getting that cabling within the boundaries also seems an issue. But as always John I'm very grateful you covered this again, thank you mate and well done. 👍🍻✅ Take care John and enjoy your Sunday afternoon.
Only 4 Deliveries and the Adventure is over. For me every Cent (Penny) worth! Do you get a Display Case? we in Germany get it with the 33 of 35 Deliveries.
When I did the wooden/plastic model of this, I wrote to the Kreigsmarine museum and got some great info on colours. The anti slip paint on the outer deck was either a black or a very dark red/burgundy colour dependant on where they got repainted when they got back to port. I used German navy grey for one of the colours, I can't remember the other colour now. Hope that helps a little.
@JohnsModelmaking I enjoyed the build. The hull was plastic front bow and stern and the rest of the hull was wooden planking. There was a couple of cut out areas for engine room and command deck. I did mine weathered to show it had come back from tour. A lot of the paint would have been washed off due to the seas, so my sail (coning tower) was very battered looking.
I just wish I had some of the pictures and reference details I got from the Kreigsmarine museum that I could have sent you to help you out, but once I completed the build, I threw it out.
Thank you John, to coin your phrase " excellent stuff" 😊 I really am enjoying the 66 build, so nice to be dealing with a car, as they are very rare in my house, but the 66 was always a must for me. Probably more nostalgia related than anything else, so glad Fanhome took this from the late Eaglemoss. Enjoyed the video John, and yes I use an orange pad underneath my model, just makes it so much easier shining up against the Matt black. 10/10 John. 😊
@JohnsModelmaking every bit I've struggled with I've come onto your channel and I've found you struggling with the same bit lol 😆..I'm still waiting to progress..I'm on pause at the minute waiting for the mike lane dash scanner upgrade!!!
Hi John. Fascinating watching 121 & 122, it certainly looks fiddly and no doubt a few murmered curse words were in tow, I'm not at this stage yet as you know being 4 behind, so a question for you John, if you can explain to me please, remember some time ago about the bridge deck being sort of curved, are you saying that when the three decks are screwed together that this straightens the bridge deck horizontally. I remember you asked Hachette about that, have i missed something? Because at moment my bridge deck is still like slightly banana shaped, not being screwed together. Hope you understand what im saying John, as the three decks sit on top of metal hull centre part of bridge deck sits flush, but either end of bridge deck section sits a little bit above the hull at both ends. Really good videos John, thank you mate, nice to have the early warnings 😊
Hi Phil, all 3 decks will sit flush with the hull. I did have issues with the brown posts at the AFT section as there are location points in the prom deck that don't always line up. At the forward end, 1 cable was moved to stop the upper decks from rocking, there was 2 screws I loosened also. As for the bent shape, it is normal to a degree, I covered this in a short video with a steel ruler. All the above is in my video, and obviously, the instructions. Have fun. 😀👍
@@JohnsModelmaking Thank you John, yes I knew there is a slight curvature, I think it was the immense size of the ship, apparently all large ships are the same, cheers for taking time out, your videos explained everything about screws and posts etc very nicely John. I think after the ship is built John we may deserve a long cruise 😁 I think 2027 was when Titanic 2 maybe ready from what I was gleaning from the internet, we shall wait and see as there a lot of misinformation out there. You take care.👍✅
