I liked Bowsette, and I think it'd be fun to have sort of an "evil princess" character who captures Mario and Peach has to rescue him. I'm always open to new villainesses.
I think when nintendo was releasing TLOZ back in the NES SNES days, Nintendo didnt have planned The series to be sequels. I think nintendo intended to have each entry as a stand alone title, similar to Final Fantasy where each main number (FF1, FF7, FFX, FF15, ETC) has no connection to each other. It was until OOT, Nintendo then made it in each series connected to each other. Just some parts cant be changed on the older game so nintendo had to make up a reason that makes senseto explain (as to the reasoning in ALTTP intro, it says 7 wisemen knowing thats actually referring to the 7 sages in OOT. I remember Nintendo planned on giving TLOZ the Starfox and F-Zero treament if OOT flopped.
As to the timeline... @37:46 I think the timeline was made by a committee. It wasn't made with love or thought. It was made so that Nintendo could explain away any game they wanted without needing to explain to the fans a coherent reason for doing so. It was made so they could make more games, not to explain anything. If they made a coherent time line they could end the Zelda series on a dime. With their convoluted timeline they can put anything at the beginning. because there is no explanation for where the origin of the demons in Skyward Sword, they just appear out of no-where. If you are going into the past to fight the Forsaken, why? what actually happened in the past that the Forsaken is there? There are SO-MANY-HOLES in Skyward Sword! Why are there super high technology in the past? Why is the desert in the past a sea? NOTHING MAKES SENSE!
Oracle of dreams would've been a good third game to continue the world changing gimmick. With you finding a rod that transports you to a nightmare and dream worlds. An entire map of no enemies would be boring though so naybe the villian casts a spell on you so the denizens perceive you as evil in the dream world? Maybe "Oracle of dreams" is the idea that eventually turned into link's awakening.
I completed Ages, but never even played Seasons. I had a feeling the third oracle was going to be the third for the trilogy, but instead she only took passwords.
Masterful work. I hope SONIC TEAM or whoever is managing the story side of things sees this specific video. It clears up so much in a non-confusing way (as much as you can make this jumbled lore not confusing lol)
They clearly didn't intend for there to be a timeline and Nintendo should've stuck to that. It's one the most tedious and asinine discussions in all of gaming.
I remember before Hy rule historia came out it was revealed that there was no timeline unless the games themselves were directly connected, however I’m assuming they just made one so people would shut up XP awesome video

The only zelda games ive played are thr ones that you can enulate on the switch wuth Nintendo online but i think if thay made a game where you do like time travel like the original ideaa woud be pretty cool
I wish there was a Wario Land game for Switch but I know the Wii one didn't sell well. I didn't know WW existed during the GC era. I liked the last game for Wii despite some control issues. The visuals were amazing
I beat Oracle of Ages and Oracle of Seasons and got them through my 3DS XL. I hope they get remakes and include Farore! I remember speaking with her in one of the games, but wish she got a game of her own. Fantastic video! Such great games!
These games mean much more to me than anything, as my very first console actually that I owned was a GBA, and seeing these games came out literally within the month of the GBA coming out, of course I picked up ages (wish I got seasons instead later on) and both of these games became synonymous to me growing up. Not only that, I even have the super rare scholastic books that you could pick chapters based on your choices just like the games! The entire concept for the series as far as games, books, the entire idea could have spun into something much bigger. The cancellation of the lost third title prevented it from reaching its full potential. I really, really wish that before I die we get proper remakes of these games! Just like we did with links Awakening, which is another timeless classic in my heart! (As y'all can tell handhelds and portables for pretty much my only option with my parents both working two full-time jobs) 🙏🥺🫂💜🎮🕹️💯
I've long hoped that the Oracle of Secrets game would be finished in the future so the trilogy could finally be complete. Never gonna happen because Nintendo is just too lazy these days. I do still enjoy the Oracle games. They're actually my 2nd and 3rd favorite Zelda games, right behind Majora's Mask. That's right, I like the Oracle games more than Ocarina of Time and most of the other 3D games!
