This is a informative channel dedicated to communicate and increase viewer knowledge. We'll talk about bass fishing, bass boat maintenance, Lowrance electronics, installation, on the water instruction, as well as tips and tricks I use.
great video question for you, how much grease do you add thru the zirk fitting?? how do you know when the assembly is full and not too much grease in it?? thanks
I have read to use blue loctite on caps before hammering them back on. i forgot to do this on last bearing replacement and drove first 150 mile trip and when i got home cap was gone!
Thank you. Brake pads FYI come from a 1996 Kia Sephia, 19.00 bucks from O'Reilly's. I'm not kidding! Break the little squeally tab off the backing plate, you don't need that, takes 30 seconds to do 2.
There are two installation videos on RU-vid. Yours and some guy that Fishobbsessed sponsored. His is terrible…. Yours is great. They should sponsor you! Thank you so much.
No sorry. Your local marine dealer should know for your boat. You can also can your traler manufacturer and let them know your VIN#. Hope the video helps you though.
Yes, sorry if I missed that. When you take off the hub and bearings in front, there is a inner lip on the front lip that the old o-ring will need to be removed/replaced once cleaned...
Great video thank you,was lookung mine over and the vault hub doesnt look to be sticking out real far . Is it possible it needs grease? I will be sure to use the hybrid grease you recommended.
Love my fish obsessed mount but don’t recommend the lock tight as it has a chemical reaction to the mount and it breaks. Had to get a replacement. But everything else is spot on
Thanks Demetric. I absolutely love it. Best thing is I purchased it before the ridiculousprice increases. I've done quite a few upgrades to the rig since this video about 5 yrs ago. And think I may do an update video as well..Cheers!
Wiring the 2 batteries in parallel will double amp hrs (100+ 100 =200). Here’s how to wire batteries in parallel: Connect the negative terminal of each battery to the negative terminal of the battery next to it. Do the same with the positive terminals. Connect the positive terminal of the last battery to the positive terminal on your application. Do the same with the negative terminals.
No it's Duplex. Similar to Romex in homes but this is made for marine environment (solid vs marine tinned stranded wire). BTW I have upgraded this wiring since I created this video w 8GA Duplex wiring.
I love you’re boat, and have watched your channel before. Would you ever be interested in selling? I have cracks in my 2020 phoenix from factory and don’t know if they’ll warranty it. And I really want a legend.
At some point I'm sure I'll sell. Just not now. Really nothing I like out there to compare plus they're $$$$. There are some other V20s for sale of you're interested though. facebook.com/groups/1287726647911300/permalink/6280495911967657/
@@brewcrewfishing awesome thank you. I’ve seen a 18 with a 250 sho for 48k with 4 garmin units and garmin trolling motor. I’m probably going to buy without units because I’m blessed to work with lowrance.
@@tjswenson2394 I did not. Ended up having a way worse issue. Spindle was trashed once I got everything apart. Ended up having a shop replace the whole axle assembly. If you want my opinion I’d convert to an EZ lube axle that you can easily grease periodically. I’m no longer sold on Vault.
O-ring is inside front side of hub. Remove cap and look inside hub, you will see the grove and O-ring. Hope this helps, if you didn’t already figure this out.
Very informative video. Thank you for taking the time to make/post it. I have a tandem axle trailer under my seaark and I have vault bearings. Within 14 months I've had 3 bearings go out and it's quite frustrating. I've been told they should last at least 6 years but my personal experience is much different. How often are you having to change/fix your vault bearings?
Really depends on how much you drive and the roads conditions I think. Always check your trailer before during and after a trip. Hubs are supposed to be maint free but I don't believe that.
I do like the fact of knowing if my cranking battery does die for any reason. As we are well know they do and will die at the worst moment. Lol I would at least have a back up to get my big motor up and running. But I get why you switched but I will stay with a back up plan for starting my big engine. And also they do make some great lithium cranking batteries too in certain brands. I'm sure you already know this though.
Yeah if that happens I can just unhook the jumped one back on the cranking battery and get running. But that AGM literally has nothing else to do but crank and get charged running...
@@brewcrewfishing I use the Ionic 125ah for cranking and just my lights. Which hardly ever get used. But I do use my extra 125ah Ionic battery for graphs and as a back up for cranking battery
Hey Chris, my buddy was thinking about purchasing a 2015 Legend v20. Looks like you are still running one. Just wanted your thought. I have read that there were a couple of flaws, but not game changers.
They're beautiful rigs hands down. I always get compliments. Deck space is unmatched, rod and tackle storage is better than my previous 21' Triton. NO PLASTIC TO WEAR OUT. Everything is just quality. Bilge area is wide open for maintenance etc. Mine is a '15 as well and only thing close to it is the new Puma STS imho.. I do not care for the ez loader trailer though. Bascat trailers are the real deal! I had an aluminum I-beam with shocks and springs on my Triton and it was smooth as silk on the road. This not so much. Thanks for the comment!
