See, this is why I'm glad that I'm a sympathetic and kind person like Tanjiro---I don't like to judge a book by its cover. Because most of the time, bullies/mean people live terrible lives. They're abused or neglected by their family, or both. Sometimes even worse. Of course, that doesn't excuse those bullies or mean people for being mean and bullying others. But I'm just saying that they do it because they want an outlet---Somewhere to put all of their pain and suffering. Gyutaro and Ume's backstory is proof of that. They both lived harsh lives. They were rejected by their own family. So they took care of each other, and I respect that. I'm 16, and I live in a household where my dad is abusive and my mom... She basically encourages me to end my life, because it's one less child she has to worry about. My brother doesn't really care about me all that much, but when we were little, we used to love each the same way Gyutaro and Ume care for each other. I'm glad I didn't turn out to become a bully, and I'm grateful that my life isn't as harsh as Gyutaro and Ume. At least I can move out of this household in 2 years. But my brother will be trapped in the cycle. Anyways---Sorry for all of this emotional baggage--What I'm trying to say is: Gyutaro and Ume's backstory is just so terrible. How they were treated was disgusting. Nobody ever deserves that kind of treatment---Regardless if you're pretty or ugly. Damn, Demon Slayer is so good at putting unsympathetic people in other people's shoes. I was born an understanding and sympathetic person to those with not so good lives, because my life isn't so good, and that helps me connect to those who turned out bad because of their harsh lives.
I just noticed when zenitsu was moving at god speed inosuke catched up to him means both of them is as fast as an uppermoon and inosuke is as fast zenitsu
I thought Tanjiro having a flashback of his sister telling him to breathe before he laid the final blow to daki is so bull until i realize he would've died
Guys can someone explain why they put so much reaction in one video like we can foucs on each one i think 3 people react is perfect more is like troling viwers tbh
Wonder why everyone just tells "if you compare the anime to the manga, you will know how badass the animators were"? Well, this is because the 2 most iconic scenes of this episode, i) Zenitsu's Godlike speed's thunder animation(11:49-11:52), and ii)The whole iconic fighting animation of tengen and gyutaro(14:36-15:18) are not even in the manga. These were solely imagined, created, designed and animated by the animators, and each and every one of them just gave their absolute best in these scenes as well as the overall episode!
For those who don't know the reason why daki stabbed that samurai, it's because that samurai insulted gyutaro for being ugly and poor not only that but he also wanted to kidnap daki, rape her and then sell her
He lost his wife and then his son who trained extremely hard to replace his position as a fire hashira, he both had extreme sorrow for death of both of them and anger that he was never gonna become strong when he learnt about sun breathing. Jealousy and sorrow killed him.
Coming back to this episode after the Swordsmith Village Arc, it does prove that Gyutaro was stronger than Gyokko and Hantengu and deserved to be Upper Moon 4. He was held back and sacrificed for his sister Daki. So credit to Tengen Uzui for his masterclass as he took on a stronger demon than the other two.
I hate when people shit on Shinjuro so hard. Yes, he's a harsh father, and he can be far too many to his sons at times, but he 100% cares deeply for them. He was nothing like this before his wife died, and he never had a chance to handle his own emotions because he had to be strong for his sons. He was so harsh to Kyojiro about joing the Demon Slayer Corp because he knows what happens to people in that line (statistically, Demon Slayers get killed more often than they succeed) and as soon as Kyojiro left to join, I'm sure the only thing going through Shinjuro's mind was a picture of his son sitting on a shrine to him. He can't handle the idea of losing another person he loves, and he doesn't know how to express that properly, becauase hes had to bottle up so much pain, and it lead to him being an alcoholic. I like to think when he went to drink in this scene, it occured to him that only his Kyojiro dead, but the last time they ever spoke was both him yelling at his son, AND he wasn't even sober for it. Just my 2 cents, sincerely, someone who cares WAY too much.
God the amount of fucking idiots that just talk through the entire episode. It’s called a reaction, not a “talk over the entire episode” video Jesus fucking Christ
