I di 2 mins of TRE and felt lots of relief, however I woke up that night with horrible anxiety bordering on a panic attack, and it's lasted a few days now I know that I have overdone it but does anybody have advice on fixing this overstimulation? Any advice is helpful

I did TRE in very long time in the first time but my body dont tremor too much, and i redo it 1,2 more times in that day, after that i feel very relief and sleepy. 2-3 days after, I felt more anxiety and brain fog, my body want to relieve more maybe because i am not done. I think our body are coping with trauma in the past that last very long time, it can't overcome it yet, my first advice is you should try again when you feel ready, do it little by little with session under 2 mins, 1 time a week or more if you can. My second advice is you should make the environment more safety when do TRE, like put a pillow near you, under your back, maybe a softy object put in your palm if you like, find a person you believe, coregulate with them, do TRE when you being seen is very good. And when you sleep, you can make your environment more safely like i said, try 5 pillow sleeping method. Just take it slow and don't be afraid, you are not alone.

In this case it's better to do it with a certified TRE provider; holding the space for you safely and at the end of the session making sure that you are grounded. The grounding exercises at the end make the integration. (I'm writing this as a person being in the process of being a certified TRE provider.)

Yesterday I tried for the first time.. just after watching few videos on internet. Within few minutes tremors begin from calves and began moving from thighs to pelvic to stomach and than shoulders and my right hand began shaking terribly.. my whole body was throwing itself intensely. My pelvic area was throbbing itself up and down strongly. Whatever tension or trauma i was holding.. showed itself strongly as tremors were so strong i felt dizzy. It lasted almost for 30 min my body was so tired in between that it took rest in between before every massive tremors... naturally! Today I'm feeling so good 👍🏼.. words can't describe it. Just one question.. CAN I DO IT DAILY? OR I SHOULD DO IT IN ALTERNATE DAYS?

There is a lot to be said for the opportunity to be in a place that holds space for you, in a non-judgemental, low responsibility, low stress, accepting, supporting, encouraging environment. Maybe what the world needs now....and always.

Thats exactly what I experience with TRE trainees who step out of their habitual patterns of reacting and defence in the supervision setting - and then have a real life experience of what it means to be present with practice clients and groups. Regularly, those who take up the tremors and make them their own vehicle for self-enquiry maintaining curiosity and a sense of progress, fare the best. Some experience life changes and are able to do what they thought they are not capable of. Teaching TRE is a rewarding work, David, and I am grateful that I came across it at the right time in my life.

Wow, what you shared is exactly how I discovered my own release mechanism and TRE. Years ago, I went to a one week retreat in Belgium, where I live. There, on a couple of occasions, my body started to do things spontaneously (sensations of warmth, pressure, vibration, movement, tears, sweating). After that, I continued to gently explore these "funny" things my body was doing, without really understanding it mentally. It just felt right to my body and I was able to turn it on & off and control the intensity. After regularly releasing for a couple of years while keeping it mostly to myself, the positivie impact on my overall wellbeing was so amazing, I felt excited to share this with others and understanding what my body was doing. Searching on the internet, I came across a video of a person who's body movements I recognized; you were guiding him through an online session. That was the first time I heard about TRE and realized that I had been doing it for years without knowing what it was! :-). Then I did the training in Belgium and became a TRE provider. Looking back, to where it all started during that retreat years ago, I now make some of the same reflections like what you describe in this video. It makes so much sense. Thank you for sharing!

Dear David, are you aware that some people seem to be a kind of tre non responders? What do you tell them? I researched this topic a lot but could not find any statements. Me did tre for weeks daily (strong shaking butterfly) but did not experience any change at all - tre was for me an entire nothing burger and I really wonder why... 🤔

I realize that one can't always advise online but how would one do tremors while in a leg cast after surgery? I get the tremors without exercises so that's not an issue but going in for surgery in a couple weeks and my NY resolution is to do more but way shorter tremor sessions.

I learned how to do this by myself while I tried to meditate... didn't know this had a name, I asked about it to chat gpt. This is absolutely great when we're under a lot of stress, helps us feel grounded. I recommend. Sometimes I end up with some tears, because the body wants to release all it can.

You can look at other videos to learn… it’s about stretching your Psoas muscle, by lying down and lifting your pelvis off the ground, using your arms to grip the floor… soles of your feet touching, legs bent at the knees dropped down to the sides. Your feet need to be tucked right up near your bum… after stretching the psoas muscle, bring your pelvis back down and you’ll start to feel your legs wobble, and then tremor… the tremor is the body releasing stored stress, anxiety and trauma, releasing itself. They do it will rooms full of returned soldiers, refugee camps etc… it incredible what the Dr who worked on this whole thing has been able to achieve worldwide

People do seem to store emotion in the sacral area. I know I do If I cry from overload, for the days prior pain and heaviness will have been building at the base of my spine. The sobbing cleans it out. I learned TRE over a day, but nobody in my area here in northers England has heard of it. I don't feel safe practicing it alone, as I don't really know what I'm doing and I can feel quite strange afterwards, as if in a daze. Any advice would be great..

I notice that after doing TRE for a few days I I longer have to do all the exercises beforehand. I can just go into the butterfly bridge pose and start tremoring. I exercise regularly and don’t consider myself unconditioned. Is this just an indication that I have a lot of stress to release? Will I have more effective sessions if I take the time to do the wall sits, heel lifts, etc. first?
