Initially a signwriter and chalkboard artist, but then handwriting tutorials crept in and then, to be honest, anything else that took my fancy, such as painting, gardening, woodwork, music. I try to haul it back to my most popular subject, handwriting and calligraphy. Now I have changed to my latest Google channel and latest RU-vid channel. It's now full of all sorts of stuff, not just sign writing.
Hey John, just wanted to let you know that the link to your Intro to chalk art video doesn't allow purchases. It is stuck in test mode, whatever that means! LOL I'd really like to get both of your chalk art videos, if there's another way I can purchase them ?
Thank you so much for this video, and others. I have ordered your book from Amazon as a birthday present to myself. I do not follow the Bahá'i Faith myself, but I have several friends who do, so I do get invited to the BBQ's et cetera, and can not help being impressed by the calmness that seems to prevail over all such events, and such a wonderful crowd of people Regards Chris
Great work, my friend! I've tried buying your vidoes multiple times, but to no avail. It always says I'm in test mode, even after following the instructions. Is there another download option for purchase?
Oh my god. I know this was made and posted years ago, but what an inspiration! I just recently got into chalk art and this is so beautiful, I love your work!!!
I remember watching this as a kid and it inspired me to improve at least one thing I felt like I was capable of. I had a horrible handwriting as a kid though I was a good student and it triggered me cause I felt like I couldn’t help it. The difference after following the tips for a few months was uncanny. I will forever be grateful to this man to make my handwriting look readable and neater than I could have ever imagined. I am just watching this video back cause I want to relive those memories again.
John you are truly gifted in handwriting. I’m 71 years old and everyone says they love my handwriting but I hope to master a consistent form. Those who admire mine obviously haven’t seen yours. I love finding old books with those of yesteryears writing. The form is beautiful artwork and I like to purchase if affordable. Just found you and subscribed. Best to you for your sharing. Hello John Neal, I love this little clip and your writing is beautiful. I will be checking out more of your output which, judging by this, seems excellent. I also see writing as a meditative, contemplative exercise in single pointed attention. What make is that beautiful pen? One piece of unsolicited pedantry for you. Your 'brown fox' pangram lacks an s; a defect that could be solved by replacing 'jumped' with jumps. Thank you for this very nice video.
Wow you have really enjoyed my life I didn't know I could write till last year and I done aret for 4 yrs now just retired and you was the first that came up on my phone so this yr I am calligraphy writing painting building books and ink and paper. And this video has really made me think we lost our home and park scammed my health and eyes are giving me fits but hay I'm alive and starting over. But you my friend Hass just got me zone in thank you old Timmerman book building u.s.a.
john is there any difference between flat black enamel and chalkboard paint? is the same thing ? sometimes i have seen enamel paint and it says 'chalkboard paint' on it---other times the hardware store just says 'use flat black enamel ...its the same stuff"
I grew up in keresley not in the village but just before the home fire plant on the right. Now I live in Yorkshire but god I do miss Coventry. I’m planning on moving back asap
First of undoubtedly numerous visits today. Can't believe how many things I'd forgotten I need, over the decades. Great service and stock familiarity. Too many of these little treasures are long gone. Use 'em or lose 'em.
I see somebody compared it to ScrewFix. When the likes of ScrewFix, Tool Station, B&Q, and Wickes, set up, they were competing with the level of choice offered by the small independents.Having closed most of them down, we are restricted in choice, to what the 'big boys' can drive the price down on, by chain store volume, bulk purchase prices. For example, I needed a washing line... they used to last for years, if not decades. For a few months I've been trying all of the above and Robert Dyas. They ALL sell the same ones, with the steel centre. Great, if you particularly want cheaper, or need a very thin line, but we've had several. They don't last. They weather, split, rust and ultimately break. Toolbox Nuneaton have numerous options, including the rope ones that my Grandparents used. Shops like this, don't look to make their fortune, by repeatedly selling you short lived stock. They rely on you recognising good service, and good quality, encouraging you to come back for other items...
I wish you were around when I was a school-age kid. Thank God, my busy mom taught me good manners and a bit of legible writing. Love the music as well! God bless!
