Of all the armies marching to war the Stark's Greybeards steals the limelight in my opinion. Cregan Stark's Greybeards are basically the equivalent of Napoleon's Old Guards where they are so few yet so experienced and a terrifying force in the battlefield since they are composed of seasoned war veterans. Those Greybeards for certain have their fair share of skirmishes and battles against the wildlings in the far North and they ain't afraid of dying since they have nothing to lose
There's one part of this. I don't get see. He's got Damon on the floor and blaming him and yet he still threatens to disinherit Rhaenyra, makes no sense
I wonder how Daemon truly feels about Vhagar. He’s called her bad names before but you’d think being the specific Targaryen he is that he almost admired her. Anyone have any thoughts about that?
Greybeards. Cregan Stark specifically says he can spare men "who have already seen too many winters." The Greybeards, according to Cregan, are stalwarts, battle-hardened and strong fighters. It makes sense that these soldiers aren't equipped with anything cosmetically pleasing, simply because their there to do one job only; kill.
No, Ser Gwayne was only injured here. We see more of him later on in the series during Season 2. Ser Gwayne and Ser Criston have some nice scenes together during Season 2.
Prince Daemon feels the wrath of King Viserys' anger. Dark rumours have clouded the realm's council, specifically regarding the King's brother Prince Daemon and the King's daughter Princess Rhaenyra. While Princess Rhaenyra wholeheartedly declines these "vile accusations", as she puts it, Prince Daemon is seemingly unbothered in taking a more head-on approach.
My theory is that Helaena is linked to Alys or the Weirwoods because we know she was talking to Daemon in that scene. Hightowers have the blood of the First Men. So, she could be a Dreamer and a Green Seer. I think she has had a dream or vision of the Others and The Long Night and is trying to set the stage for Daenerys and her dragons. Hence, Daemon's vision.
Prince Daemon Targaryen takes Caraxes for a ride with his late wife Lady Laena Velaryon and Vhagar, showing off their dominance and power in the skies. Are you excited for the Battle Above The Gods Eye?
@@HouseOttoway There are 8 rules in medieval jousting, and if the Westeros world follows them, then Daemon didn't break any of them. However if Ser Gwayne would have made contact with Daemon on the second course, he would have won because Prince Daemon made contact with the horse, not Ser Gwayne. That's how close it was. Prince Daemon's sheer ability to trip the horse AND not get hit, combined, was the reason he won.
I’m not sure I would call it dishonourable. No rules of jousting were broken. Ser Gwayne only had to hit Prince Daemon to win in that scenario, even if Prince Daemon wasn’t knocked off his horse, and that’s because during the second course ran Prince Daemon tripped Ser Gwayne’s horse. According to the 8 rules of medieval jousting, and assuming Westeros follows those same rules, the only reason Prince Daemon won was the fact he de-horsed Ser Gwayne AND never got hit. Those two combinations of factors are the sheer reason the Rogue Prince won. He completely dodged Ser Gwayne on the second course. If Ser Gwayne had made contact with his lance during the second run, for example, and Prince Daemon only tripped the horse as he we see he did, then he would have lost.
In the game of thrones time i believe this is against the rules but at this time perfectly legal. He didnt do it to win though he did it to hurt Otto because as he said and as weve seen Otto Hightower is a cunt
@@apexq1068 It’s definitely the Blackfyre colour scheme, but remember, King Aegon IV hasn’t been around yet. Technically speaking, it’s just a Targaryen sigil as of now.
@@apexq1068 House Blackfyre’s sigil is only the Targaryen sigil with it’s colours reversed. Totally common with heraldry, to mix up the colours or the symbols for different uses, branches, positions, etc. This is just an inverted Targaryen sigil, which did not mean Blackfyre until Daemon Waters claimed it as his house crest.
@@elletaylxr If we don’t see her in action I hope her death is at least a good portion of an episode. She’s a beautiful dragon, from what we know so far…
