1361 is being restored to running condition and will be pulling excursion trains. Her tender is finished with new paint and lettering on the tender leaving the locomotive and her boiler to be finished. Can’t wait to see this iron horse back on the tracks cause I like to see a running PRR steamer in real life!
That’s a very unique whistle. I’ve always liked it. Very haunting. It’s unfortunately something like this won’t happen again at least for a long time….

I just caught the segment CTV did , tonight's news... and wondering how to find the route She's taking.... heading south. Would absolutely LOVE to see it .... even if its only for a moment... What an amazing beautiful piece of history... This Gramma LOVES trains... if anyone has an answer as to when She leaves Calgary, feel free to reply... let me know.
I found the schedule... and so happy!! I will try to meet it in Medicine Hat. Here is the link for anyone else... www.cpkcr.com/content/dam/cpkc/documents/english/pdfs/community/steam-train/Steam-Tour-Schedule.pdf
I was on this train too. Interesting that it is on it's home rails - sort of. Milwaukee Road's Mississippi river line. Milwaukee merged with Soo Line, which was taken over by Canadian Pacific.
So glad I got to ride on the Autumn Colors Express back in the Fall of 2022. Unfortunately, the train hasn’t come back ever since :( Such a shame, because it was not only providing beautiful views of the gorge for riders. The train generated a few million dollars supporting the local businesses each year.
Many Thanks For This Clip! I railfan along the New River. I'm glad to see there were railfans around when this event took place! A lot of these locations have changed. Its makes me happy seeing these old locations from back then! Thanks for Posting!
