36T front chainring, to get to 28 mph you need to exceed a cadence of 100 revelutions/min. I've gotten up to about 25 mph, and the bike starts feeling squirrely do to the tires and I wouldn't recommend it. I'd say if you want to go that fast get a Turbo Vado. The Tero is more of a light MTB, gravel trails, do anything bike and 20 mph is a good limit. Tero should stay Class 1, allowing it to ride single track trails.
Geeze man those light up pedals are a must, save our lives. For a headlamp the thrunite th10 v2 thrower headlamp was great for not blinding cars and seeing far ahead and near, miss thst light. Have an armytek now c2 pro nichia but i want my thrunite again although the Nichia is awesome
You aint in Michigan are you bro? Lets go rip my canoe or go biking, i got a shitty trek but ive been biking all my life i commute to work, part time is the ticket, then i have time for the gorgeous lakeshore of superior, i kind of want a superior 969 hardtail
I miss using my redline monocog 29er im the snow, tbe crank arm was flexy not very stiff and one snapped, plus wheeks need trued, i really need to invest in bicycle tools, i have had a parktool stand for 10 years maybe used it once
I am a 47-year-old women who has mainly done lightweight backpacking throughout the years. I am thinking of how I can enjoy the outdoors and save my knees a little throughout the season. Bikepacking seems like an exciting option. I don't know anyone who does it, but watching this video was very inspiring! This little overnight seems so accessible to me! Thanks for creating it!
Curiously. What's with the "Dan Hurd"? Did he record this? I follow his detecting, if my memory is correct. Edit : so that's his name, is this a stolen video with no credit given? confused
You need to chill. I meet up with Dan and filmed this video about him. I believe he might have ripped it and put it on his channel with my permission. My footage actually helped with his court case. So you can get outta here with your negativity and judgment. Thanks
@TrentSiggard I was actually genuinely confused asking questions. Sorry if you read questions as negative. I even came back to edit it once I realized it was not the RU-vidr I thought.
Hahaha a lot of the time when I’m working on bikes I’m listening to copywritten music, I’ll try to put in headphones and make more ASMR type audio. Thanks for the input
Depends on how you’re using the bike. I prefer a smoother center tread for city riding. As long as it has knobs on the side of the tire it’ll be good for light offroad. I set this up to be a commuter
Yup. New to biking and very nieve. I was super impressed when I put on Rene Herse tires and ran them at 35 psi… felt like I was riding a full suspension bike!
Don't forget about the Potrero hoop!! Np to To to Westlake!! Then back to Np using Potrero rd( the back way) I love to bike this loop back in the 70s and the 80s!! Another loop i liked was riding around the lake of Westlake Village!! Maybe 8 miles around!! Just saying......Great video!!
Oh yes! I’ve got footage of these routes somewhere.. I’ll see if I can make a commentary video about this loop as well! (I don’t live in the area anymore, but have the footage). I love both loops you’re mentioning!
To me they serve a different purpose. I like using the ride88 in the winter as I can still take my car through car washes. I love using the Kuat w/ swing arm when I’m on road trips and want the space in my truck for gear. They each have their place 🙌🏼
Working on bikes is way less stressful than working on autos, very much not at all a bad thing cuz I like it it's almost soothing in comparison. I will say you can go down the rabbit hole with parts and that's fine it's cheap.
@@TrentSiggard aha,, I don’t see the awesome lights you put on there! Come on Trent I’d like those too! There is that little dongle bracket for the headlight though. TIA
I believe on this build it was a cantilever brake mount from Amazon with a wald 137 rack. I run Old Man Mountain racks on most of my builds now, even on these older bikes.
Hey man, just randomly came across your video and I want to let you know how much I enjoyed! Very cool format, love the look! Really cool to see someone doing something for the community :)
The app is a feee app from Gates (carbon belt drive). I don't know if checking tension of the belt is in the Tenways setup manual, but having experience with Belt Drive bikes from Priority I knew a check of the tension would be a good thing and help the lifespan of the drivetrain. The bike shipped with a loose belt.
@@TrentSiggard I’m interested in your thoughts on that rack vs the One Up I’ve had the Piston Pro X still in the box for a while and I’m getting ready to take it back and order the Equip D.
The rack mounts to a special through axle that Old Man Mountain makes! This way you can carry more weight and not worry about putting weight on the screw which is molded into the carbon
Definitely a good trip to the Catalina Island, it is much nicer to see a place from a bicycle ride point of view it is up close and more interesting. Very good video, looking forward to your new adventures in Utah. Cheers.
