Nice set up. I’ve heard good things about the Redshift and CaneCreek suspension stem and seatpost. Those pedals are really cool. I’ve had Wellgo pedals that combo flat/SPD but they don’t have those high tech lights. The light/Gopro mount to the fork is a nice touch.
@TrentSiggard

I LOVE these pedals. To me, they're a no-brainer for anyone who might be riding at night, where visibility is important! Light mount was hard to find, but a very nice & functional piece of kit!

Good video. I recently purchased a Priority Apollo 11 which I'm enjoying. It took a little getting used to the internal hub shifting compared to a chain and derailleurs. I'm considering the Redshift suspension stem and seat post. I'm also going to change the front chain ring to 46 tooth. I wasn't sure if I would have to change the belt but it looks like there is enough room for adjustment of the belt tension. Where can I get the mount for the light? Thanks.
@TrentSiggard
@TrentSiggard 9 месяцев назад
The hub definitely takes some getting used to. The chainring was a game changer for me. No new belt needed, but it will take some work when tightening the belt by moving the dropouts back. Priority Support is incredibly helpful if you need! Also I highly recommend the Redshift stem & seat post for comfort. The light mount is great too! If you use the links in the description for either, it helps me out!

I bought an Apollo based on your (and several others) review. I love the way your OMM divide bike rack looks and appreciate the power it boasts... however, I'm a little intimidated by the price. Did you have to buy the rack for $168, $80 for the fit kit, and $20 shipping? With tax, that ends up being $300 for a rear bike rack... goodness gracious! Is/was it worth it? Genuine question.
@TrentSiggard
@TrentSiggard 3 месяца назад
I think it's worth it! The Apollo is an aluminum frame, so the screw holes for the rack should be a bit stronger and more resilient than my carbon bikes. However, getting the weight not he able is a good way to have a worry free experience!
@Cale_E
@Cale_E 3 месяца назад
@@TrentSiggard I ended up getting it from a 3rd part for 10% off + free shipping. I liked your build so much I used it as a starting template for my blue Apollo. I'll get the OMM trunk bag soon. :)

An excellent video, thank you for your efforts. I appreciate your content. The bike is sweet, as a fellow Gravel rider I admire the way you have upgraded and improved the bike. I am curious about belt drives. PS as a fellow Brooks saddle owner (C 17 none cut out) I totally dig yours. My saddle has taken me over 20k thousand miles. As a heavier rider, it is the most perfect and comfortable saddle manufactured in the world. Best regards from the UK :)

Swazer! Thanks for the comment! I've been really enjoying the C17 carved, was bummed to see in the manual that it has a "weight limit". I'm well over it, but it's been working well for me and very comfortable, even on a static seat post. Hope you enjoy all my future videos!!
@SwazersC

@TrentSiggard by the way, not that this is any of my business. If you wanna lose some weight, it's totally achievable. I have just lost 71 pounds in only 7 months. I came down to my current weight of 201 pounds. It's greatly improved my entire life. If you're interested, please let me know. I'd be happy to share what I learned.

I am planning to get this in summer to complement my primary bike. Thinking about adding suspension or dropper post. One thing I am curious is whether it can have front rack or side fork mounts. Also, did you had to adjust things like rotor alignment (other than brake wire and gear indexing, which is expected)?

How is the 46T front ring working out for you on the hills, say over 6%? Can you keep a high cadence over 90?
@TrentSiggard
@TrentSiggard 7 месяцев назад
This question is subjective based on your size and weight. I’m a big guy, and hardly ever hold a cadence of 90.

Thanks for this video! Have been considering it for some time but am on the fence because of lack of front suspension. I see you swapped in a suspension stem. What do you think about upgrading to a suspension fork? I emailed Priority & they were somewhat vague about whether a locking suspension fork would work.
@TrentSiggard
@TrentSiggard 3 месяца назад
I've seen these gravel forks come onto the scene recently, but since I'm a heavier rider I haven't given them a shot, yet.

This won't work as a winter bike in Wisconsin. The oil in the IGH freezes and we end up with a single speed. :-( I'll ride my Aventon Level.2 in the winter.
