The problem of a classic Rolls-Royce is that is a nice, fantastic car only in british landscape and with british numberplate, with Italian, german, american numberplate is not so good
My son lives in Beverly Hills and owns a 1973 Caribbean Blue Silver Shadow. It is a magnificent example of British craftsmanship reflected in this model. It is his pride and joy and her name is Rosemary.
Thats fantastic. Rosemary is a long way from where she was created and pieced together! All Rolls Royces are considered female, while all Bentleys are considered male. Rosemary is a great name for his car!
Ok she's not perfect but she is in lovely condition and a car like this still being used on the road and not metaphorically pinned to a cork board gets my vote every time. Beautiful colour combination and a fantastic example. Long may she cruise for you as her guardian Mr Waugh. A truly satisfying piece of iconic engineering to have at ones disposal.
I noticed, hence my comment. I didn't know it was the same age as mine (2006), albeit in Midnight Emerald Green. I'm sure you'll agree it is a fantastic and slightly bonkers car with the W12 engine. Happy motoring, Sir.
A lovely car, Mr. Waugh. I'm thinking of getting a classic Rolls Royce, instead of the modern Bentley Flying Spur I currently own - just to have a different experience. Thanks for sharing.
John, I have both. The Shadow is for fun but the CFS is for work.... The CFS is 2006 so it's getting on a bit too but absolutely stunning and only 46k miles
The Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow is glorious, and your car a very beautiful example! A source of endless fascination for me. My top favorite car of all time. Thanks so much for your videos!
Its a case of adjusting the blade heights every now and then - occasionally they go higher than they should but simply a case of pressing them down again..... its just one of those things in a 44 year old car....
🌷🌷🌷 your car so shinig and look brightly and keep in good condition of wood hand craft work like the new one from showroom wonderful to keep away the rush and keep default colour . and if i having i ll create electric circuit to clear many electric wire in the car . after rush finding clear and rush coating
Very close! Caribbean blue. To be fair though it can be hard to tell between Caribbean blue and Le Man's blue -. It very much depends on the daylight, the cloud cover, the quality of the camera! Thank you! I'd love to have seen my old girl back in 78. Must have been stunning new. Though she's not bad 44 years later 😁
@@terrywaugh3610 Hello, Thank you for your message. I was the Public Relations Manager of Rolls-Royce in the 1970s and we had a new demonstrator every year and I just remember the blue one as it was so attractive. I have a Silver Spirit but its Balmoral Green.
@@terrywaugh3610 It was super but over 40 years ago! I wrote a piece for the RREC magazine about those days and if you give me an email address I will forward it.
