I saw them just once, at Forest Hills Stadium, August 19, 1983. I remember him doing laps around the stage at that show too. It was one of the most exciting and electric performances I'd ever seen. There was a set of English Beat shows in Boulder CO in a small club a year or two earlier that was also off-the-charts energy...but this show in Queens was amazing.
La Terre peut prendre n'importe quelle forme que vous voulez The Earth can be any shape you want it N'importe quelle forme Any shape at all Sombre et froid ou clair et chaud Dark and cold or bright and warm Long ou fin ou petit Long or thin or small Mais c'est la maison et tout ce que j'ai jamais eu But it's home and all I ever had C' est - en quelque sorte - '' ma profession de foi, ma triste et sinistre réalité '' à moi aussi...Jean
Hate me for saying it, but the 80's running-in-place jam out is still one of the coolest moves ever. The new-wave version of synchronized headbanging. Actually very Reggae influenced. Always saw Marley's band doing that.
What the fuck! This dude is the definition of underrated talent!!! He can sing so well while being that active, it’s almost impossible except for the most talented
Strange as it may sound...70s and 80s is my generation of music, and Talking Heads fall into that genre. However, I am now just discovering their talent and am loving their music/style.
