Working for boat manufacturers then here at Duncan's Boats now Coastal Carolina Yacht Sales for over 10 years in Charleston, SC has provided me with insight on most things boats related. I focus on tutorials, cool features and boat walkthroughs especially on Regal Boats, Tidewater Boats and Pursuit Boats. Anything you want to see or talk about, let me know.
You're right. Its certainly not a flats boat but a larger bay boat and wouldn't be the best if you're looking at getting into skinny, skinny water. Thanks for watching.
Thank you for the video ! I just bought one yesterday and took it out last night. Its a lot of fun and really simple to use. My battery seemed to die off half way within an hour. Do you know if this is common, or do people recharge them after each use? Im 100% new to this lol
Man I appreciate this video. I'm in the market for my first boat, and this one has got on my radar. I'm just looking for something small that I can pull a tube for my kids with.
I'd recommend calling your local dealer on it to have them address it. But you can calibrate it yourself next time you fuel up entering some level points. If you look on youtube for calibrating CL5 fuel tank, you should be able to find a good video on it
Great question. Most people find running top end low to mid 40s plenty. But I understand there are people that want more. Also, a bay boat because of it's design will run faster than a traditional V bottom. The other big thing to consider is the cost especially on an entry level boat. To some, $4-5k is a lot of money for a few more MPH top end. Lastly, in this particular instance the Yamaha F150 and 200 are the same powerhead so the performance difference is minimal for the money. Now, we could always order someone with the upgraded 200 and you'd get your exact options and colors. Thanks for watching and the comment.
Hi!! I have a question. To see that items on your simrad screen, it’s your vessel view connected to nmea 2000? Can I ask you about how is your connection engines-vesselview-simrad?
What you're looking for is the Mercury VesselView Link. I believe that can be hooked up to NMEA 2000 too but not 100% sure on hooking up everything as I'm not a Mercury tech. Thanks for watching! www.mercurymarine.com/us/en/gauges-and-controls/displays/vesselview-link
Really wish they'd offer 200s or at least 250s. I don't need to go 45-50MPH. If I could save $100K I'd be just fine with 35 MPH, at least give consumers that choice.
That would be nice but I think the concern would be time to plane with some of the smaller engines. Higher end manufacturers like this prefer just to have the performance. Plus the 300s will get better fuel economy typically and longevity because they don't have to work as hard. Thanks for watching and the comment!
I don't have any experience with that very nice transducer. You might be able to find a RU-vid video review on that. I'd try reaching out to those guys. Thanks for watching.
Glad to hear; appreciate the feedback. What model did you get? There still are some manual switches for certain things though too. Thanks for watching!
2024 SAV 38. Yeah, for the wipers and one other thing. You really gotta learn the system if you needed to do something quick. Like drop the anchor. I wish they did have some manual switches. But I guess I’ll have to get used to it!
@@patricklayton9748 Just talked to my Mercury tech and the coolant temp is what Mercury "considers" engine temp. You can probably get a bit more insight and clarification by reading in your engine owner's manual
Cool little boat for first timers. Originally sold for $13,500 with trailer. Unfortunately dealers are grossly over charging and can't find one for less than $22,000. On average dealers are charging $25,000. which is double the MSRP. No thanks.
You're right; it is a fun, little boat. Unfortunately prices have gone up on everything since the release of that boat a few years back. Another thing is that Bayliner makes almost everything an option on that boat which adds to the cost as well. It's frustrating for all. Thanks for watching though!
Top speed is around 57 mph. You can find the performance specs here: yamahaoutboards.com/outboards/350-150-hp/v6-4-2l/f300-(4-2l)/pb_tid_2500carolinabay_f300xca_08-06-2019-bay Thanks for watching!
This video is on their 23' model, the 232 SS. You can find the video on their 21' 210 LXF here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-lzTpPSetOsc.html Thanks!
Full boat details can be found here. I forgot to include that engines have only 108 hours. www.duncansboats.com/inventory/2021-everglades-boats-273-cc-north-charleston-sc-29405-12407768i
Thanks for watching! If you go to Tidewater Boats' website, you can find a dealer locator to locate you're nearest dealer. They'll be able to provide you with cost as well. Thanks.
The Mercury 400 pops that boat out of the hole quick with very little bowrise; very impressive. That's due to being a V10 and large prop. I've heard people hitting upwards of 70 mph top end on that but can't confirm that personally. Comparing to a 300 hp engine, please see here: www.seakeeper.com/faqs/how-much-power-does-a-seakeeper-use/ Thanks for watching!
@@Fishead1166 You're right; its completely wrong haha. See the link here: yamahaoutboards.com/outboards/350-150-hp/v6-4-2l/f300-(4-2l)/pb_tid_2500carolinabay_f300xca_08-06-2019-bay
Hey, how many batteries is the LX6 running to spool up the Sea Keeper and how long will it run when the engine is off chilling at a sandbar before it depletes the batteries?
The Seakeeper 1 only takes one battery. I can't say from personal experience how long it'll last but if you go to the link below, Seakeeper does a great job breaking everything down including a calculator. Thanks for watching. www.seakeeper.com/faqs/how-much-power-does-a-seakeeper-use/
Thank you so much. Because the head compartment alone without even the the toilet is over $5,000, most people don't see the value in it. We've had a few people put a porta potti down in the aft storage with a snap on curtain instead for a few hundred dollars. The head compartment also eats up seating as well. Hope that answers your question but let me know if it didn't. And thanks for watching!
Really nice three-seasons boat for up north, unlike the silly giant bow riders that seem to be the rage. Amazing how much storage space is opened up with the engines hanging out back.
