Love your energy. I want to do this too, because I live in a hilly area, but I could not find a straight answer. I can see why people wouldn't recommend this but if you like to tinker and are aware of the cons, it's fun.
Weight doesn't matter on the flat. Aero doesn't matter in the pack. Most people never get to the front with their 10$k bikes. Are you still racing nowadays?
I used to watch your cycling videos and I wondered what had become of you. I’m sorry you are now in a war - but if Ukraine is your country I can understand why you fight. God bless you and keep you safe.
Greetings, I am making the same change, on my mountain bike I have a 52/34 crank, and an 11/36 cassette, I am using sora handlebars but the front derailleur is not sora and it does not work well, which derailleur do you recommend I use? would it need to be sora? thanks for your answer.
All Ukrainians are united? LOL! Tell that to those burned to death in Odessa and those kids commemorated in the Alley of Angels in Donetsk. You can stuff Bandera and all the other foul Ukrainian ultra-nationalists where the sun doesn't shine. They are the reason your not-real country is being destroyed. And allowing your country to be played as a pawn by the USA in a geopolitical chess game has consequences.
Dude cool to see you back but looks like you don't know what you are really fighting for... The corruption in Ukraine is massive and you shouldn't be one of those played around like that.
You obviously are not from Ukraine my friend, this is a different war , Russia wants to wipe Ukraine of the map, make it part of Russian territory. That’s a reason why we fight and we know what we fight for very clearly. Corruption etc doesn’t matter at all now
@@getitdone4376 Ukraine is being used by the western world to attack Russia later on (by having nuclear weapons right at their door in a near futur). Ukrainian forces have been bombing Donbass for many years... Russia wants to protect themselves and clean some of the corruption that is happening at the same time, they don't want to wipe Ukraine off the map or stay there. Of course this is crazy bad for the population and nobody wants that but the red ligne has been crossed and they had almost no choice at this time.
What you’re saying is exactly what Russian TV was talking about all these years non stop. This mythical threat of the western world invading Russia. I assume you are Russian as you basically repeat what the Russian propaganda wants people to believe
@@getitdone4376 its Putin rather than the Russian public that want this he want what every person with power wants, more power, its greed and the lack of boundaries that invaribly comes with an obscene/grotesque amount of accumulated wealth which could solve many of the worlds problems but instead it gets used to cause them.
Hey man, question. I have converted my 2x9 Sora R3000 to a 1x9. My Chainring is a Wolftooth 36t Drop stop. Since my cassette is 11-34 9 speed, can i change it to 11-36 or like yours 11-40? do i still need a goat link? Thanks man
I have compact 50-34 crankset in my specialized road bike with 11-32t cassette. Can you please suggest between 11-36t or 11-40t cassette ? I have shimano sora 9 speed rear derailluer. So i was bit concerned with 11-40t if the gear chaning would be harsh compared to 11-36t for last two gears ? Here are the gear ratios for both cassette. 11-36t cassette : 11-13-15-18-21-24-28-32-36 11-40t cassette : 11-13-15-18-21-24-28-34-40
Thanks for the video. You did a great job showing how simple is to install the 4iiii cranks. I subscribed to continue enjoy your how to series. It is the right source for home mechanics like me.
Try to find the center of gravity. U can use a string line w/ small weight at the end. Make a straight line from the side of your knee(inside part) down to in between crank arm and pedal, then start adjusting your saddle to get the straight line from your knee. I hope it will help.
İ have 11-42 by sora changer and xtr old 9 speed perfekt. The problem is its not enouf for heavy high climbs need to extend to 11-46 i tried its allso possible with xtr 9 speed. Even is possible 11-50 with xt long cage
The worst HR monitor I have ever used. Been through 3 in a year. Just stopped working and even after replacing battery, resetting and short circuiting the terminals it's still useless. Never again!!
Your chain here is really sagging when you're small/small, even though it appears you have the chain about as short as it can go and not snap the RD when big-big. There's not quite enough chain wrap with this set up; you need a true "long cage" derailleur. Technically, there isn't a "long cage" Sora rear derailleur; just short cage (SS) and medium cage (GS). You can, however, use an Alivio MTB long cage (SGS) rear derailleur with Sora 9 speed or Claris 8 speed shifters. You still might need the road link for that top pulley to clear the 40t cog, (depends on the derailleur hanger geometry), but the SGS cage has a bit more chain wrap, and will keep that chain tighter as you approach the small/small combination, reducing the likelihood of dropping it.
That's not a problem because when you are in the second gear infront you are most likely gonna change to first gear infront when you are at like 4-5th gear behind
G Day i've just ordered a set of zero nite wheels for my CAAD12. I was after a set of bomb proof wheels for racing and general riding. Carbon wheels are scary with warping the wheels etc and zipps are pricey as. Second hand carbon wheels normally ridden to the max and risky as
@@miguelleivalegua9967 yeah highly recommended them lite, tough, durable. Ceramic speed hub. I recommend getting the full black version with the black brake track sexy AF. With a pair of tan side wall tyres 👍🚴♂️
