I usually buy only pre-owned these days. The aftermarket is typically decent for many figures, and if you don't mind waiting, somebody will try to get rid of the figure you want for cheap. But there are some exceptions, where I regret not ordering the figure, in most cases it's hard to get the figure if it released years ago and there is no re-release in sight and other figures can be just expensive since they are sought after/rare. Either way, I think with how hard some of the recent releases binned in the aftermarket, it seems like quite the risk to pre-order now. And the fact that yen is struggling right now may seem like a good thing for buyers overseas, but they just keep raising the price tags on figures and I think there is some inflation going on, like many of the figures are overpriced when getting released. But even when buying pre-owned one must be very careful since there are also scammers and one advantage you have when you buy from a store is that they can probably help you out when you've received a damaged figure. Something else I've been noticing is that Chinese manufacturers are getting better and better at producing their own figures (not bootlegs!) so soon many collectors will may switch over to Chinese figures since are very cheap sometimes, but pretty good quality.
Okay but as someone who's too broke to buy orig, fake ones actually help so much since their more cheaper and ALMOST similar. Would still kill for orig though lol.
The reason vivid bad squad miku has that pose os because it has to look identical to the card thats already in the game so changing the pose isn't an option. Same for other project sekai miku figures. I really love your haul though! New sub added
I thought "max factory" meant that they cant produce any more of the figure. Anyway, this was a really helpful guide on sizes! I was wondering why my 2016 goodsmile racing miku looked so much smaller than my sadistic music factory miku. I was a beginner and still am at collecting these things, but I'm an oldgen vocaloid fan. i got the bootleg sakura miku secondhand for $8 at a local store and i love it! it has all the differences mentioned in the video, but it's still very captivating and lovely, it has a certain look to it

My first Hatsune Miku figure is Modern China Miku, the panda theme and the asymmetric accessory coloring (and the fact there was only a few Panda Mikus left in stock in a local webshop!) made me take the leap and get her. Now I’m torn between getting the classic Miku 2.0 nendoroid, the Append Miku nendoroid, or the Choco Mint Pearl edition because I love the metallic paint on her. TuT

I just got this figure, shes exactly like the original head to toe, no cracks, no bumps no bad printed face, everything is head to toe the copy of the original. Even the stand it says wonderland. however, it didnt come with the box. idk what to think. As shes literally the original figure
I was 13 when i started collection figures (mostly nendoroids), and i didn't stick with a theme, and now i have random characters from random animes in my room
this is also why having a nice case/display is important too as it can help keep dust out so that it is easier to clean them. Note, keeping a display does not mean clean less often, it just makes it easier to clean but instead means that with regular cleaning ones can avoid more drastic cleaning that might need to be done otherwise
Is it a bad idea to carefully flatten the box so it can be stored somewhere more easily? Not just squishing it down or crushing it but taking off the tape and folding it over?
I think my tip is keep the box. Doesn't matter if prize or not, keep the box and even the plastic wrap. You never know when you might need to store a figure or even sell a figure. Keeping the original box will save you in the long run. Only problem with keeping the boxes is storage unless you display them (which some owners do). Even prize figures I keep the boxes for since there is no way to re-store them regardless
i bought one from a small store that has a website . when purchased one from website could see they still had on eBay THERE response the reason takes three weeks is they order more stock . makes me think they buy copies and sell because it's the joker one it's sold out from most stores .
