Yeah. I liked that figure too I just don't like what they did with his face with sharinggan. Sasuke at that age was always edgy so I honestly think it didn't fit his character. The smile I mean lol
I guess we'll agree to disagree on the Miku 12th anniversary figure! Well, mine doesn't have any defects on the cake, nothing is drippy or anything. Tbh, I find her smile really adorable and endearing. She just seems so happy and I know her smile isn't "conventionally pretty" but it makes her feel more human to me, since when you're super happy, chances are your grin isn't perfect and instagram-able. She's just a ray of sunshine to me and I adore how colorful she is. I can't stop grinning while looking at her on my shelf and she might even be one of my faves Miku figures amongst all I own!
I agree! I double checked mine, but the paint job looks perfect, especially for a prize figure, I think she's absolutely adorable! In all honesty, the figure's paint job in the video is reminiscent of the Chinese bootlegs found on eBay. If it's legit, I would say you got an unlucky defected one, because even for a prize figure those defects aren't the norm, at least in my experience. (I do agree the blue dress is a better color option compared to the pink tho!)

I bought this from a game shop. I was shocked to see them sell Miku figures so I tried and then when I arrived home I was super disappointed with the quality lol --i couldn't return it anymore too since it's a 2 hr ferry boat away 🤦🏻♀️😂
The problem is also that for some reason wings version looks cheaper and overall lesser quality than no-wings earlier one (in yellow dress). Also, this mold is WAY overused, they are currently having a new version of her with wings and her demon face.
Honestly, any figure I regret buying, I end up reselling. So technically, I don't have any that I have buyers regret atm. But then again, I mostly buy nendos and figmas for posability possibilities, which seems to be something not many take kindly to. 😅

I have a small collection of figures and the one that I have the biggest regret with, is the Crystal Hatsune Miku (the one where she's in a chibi style) I have no problem with how it looks. The only downside is that I found out it was a bootleg and not the authentic one. There goes my 20$

I've never liked that birthday Miku's smile, but ironically, seeing this video has made me come around on her. I love her outfit with the bows and little star belt, and I actually think the socks are super cute! Also, my most disappointing figure is the sitting-down roomwear miku for one reason: I thought I bought the one with eyes open!! I checked the website, and it was my mistake, but she has such pretty eyes that now I don't get to see :(

I just bought the Sakura miku noodle stopper and I kinda regret buying her. There’s scratches on her hair, but it’s not very visible so for now it’s fine. It’s also hard to get her the sit with her pose, her face is weird, and her hand is in front of her hair. She’s cute, but not worth it. I paid 3p dollars for her, which is about as much as much higher quality figure Own.
Talking about the pain of assembling, I struggled with nendoroid Levi for about an hour trying to gear him up before giving up and leave him basic. It took me some time to figure out which peg should go in where and it becomes much better after that.

No. I only wanna focus on Miku. Plus I'm the sort of person who buy figures with plans of expansion somehow so if ever I buy say example the twins, then I have to buy more figures of them so I won't get bothered lol. That's gonna hurt my wallet more xDDD

I laughed so hard that the first figure you shown was 2019 birthday miku cuz she's the one I regret buying more than original price lol but I actually like her face. I was just disappointed she was so small and I thought I brought a fake with how bad her quality of plastic felt and so thin comparing to banpresto prize figures I have. I never had a taito figure so I got worried about the 3rd season Autumn miku that I was waiting in the mail for was gonna be like, but I was relieved she was done better and felt good though the base is still a flimsy plastic. I probably won't buy anymore taito figures... especially marked up price ones.
I don't usually buy post release Taito figures too. It's not really worth the price tbh. This is the ONLY Taito figure (I think) I bought that wasn't placed as pre order because I just saw her in a gamer's shop. 🤷🏻♀️ I the only thing I like about this figure are her eyes. The rest just feels sorry to me tbh. I feel sorry for Miku too. 🥺

But this one got me since the photo reviews I saw were all postive and then I get her...She's okay. But none really mentioned how thin and flimsy the plastic felt(other than the hair being fragile when assembling), but I might be the weirdo that likes to feel my figures all over lol I have her in the back of my display with a toy wedding cake from the 90s.
Most of them are Banpresto prize figure, that's like expecting a carnival prize plush to be flawless. They gonna cut cost somewhere considering it is possible to get them at 10 bucks (or less) if you're good at the game. I do agree the Tsunade figure is a bit ridiculous though, I think she is part of a line where they purposely increase the characters' bust size. Their Android 18 rendition is hilarious.
Hmm well. It actually depends. These are in my opinion anyway. I also have other banpresto prize figures and they satisfy me as much as the more expensive scales I got. It's just that these prize figures I chose to be my least favourites didn't just cut it. 🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️ I don't expect that much on prize figures TBH but this is just disappointing compared to the figures with the same price range.

The figure I regret buying is the Danball Senki Fenrir model kit.All of the joints were loose, it had horrible articulation, and has a nightmare of a shoulder joint.
I feel like the longer I've been collecting figures, the better I get at not picking out stinkers. But when I first got into figure collecting I got a little to excited and ordered anything and everything I saw that interest me and have few where once I received it I definitely had buyers remorse.

I got a Hanako (Anne-happy) figure from a convention. I was too infatuated at the time to see a less popular character to really pay close attention. Later I noticed a big dent in her shoulder and some scrapes on her hair and leg. There wasn't a box either. While I think she looks cute and all I could've probably gotten a much higher quality one online for a very similar price Q_Q

Video request: could you tell us how to tell from a fake anime figure and a real one? Like i see a lot of overpriced ones but there are some reviews telling that its a fake.
Hmmm it probably depends on where of from who you're buying because scammers will always look for a way. If you're buying a figure and you can ask for a meet up before the deal, or atleast ask for photos before buying, always ask for the box photos and the figures. It can be actual by asking the seller to include a note or some indicator that it's really them. Say for example the seller takes a photo of the figure and on the side there's a paper with their signature or name written on it. Something like that.
If you're buying from eBay or Amazon tho it gets tricky but 1. Check the description for manufacturers and details. Fakes won't declare the official manufacturers or they would use OEM or they'll purposely misspell the manufacturers name same goodssmile Company and then the fakes would type in good smile company or something along those lines
Also check the entire gallery for the item. What they usually do is upload the official photos in the beginning and then put the actual photos at the end of the gallery. That's why it's important. Also check feedbacks. Not every feedback is true so try and read the comments of the highest and lowest rating why they gave those and look at feedback photos and videos.

I personally don't agree with your opinion on the 12th anniversary figure. But that's because it was the first figure I ever got and was given to me on my birthday. But when I got it then toppings on my birthday cake weren't on the figure so it looked pretty weird to have a cake with nothing on it.
I personally regret buying a nezuko figure that cost 28 Dollors! The reason is : the colors , and the messy paint job! It had colors everywhere and the skin tone was kinda shiny and a yellow-ish look , the only thing I liked was the box she was sitting on which was still cute but im overall disappointed with the figure I ordered :(

I think there is a way to clean the dis colored miku! My grandma was a smoker and my mom cleaned her walls and the yellow was practically dripping off the walls!

I got her on pre order price and tbh at first I did a pass on her. I didn't place and order but when she got released my supplier offered me the pre order price maybe knowing I have a Miku shrine. When I saw her photos online I was confused and when she got to me I also somehow didn't like her as much as I thought I would HOWEVER, now that I added her along with my other Mikus, she shines. I think she shines best with other figures around her. Or maybe it's just me hahhaa.

idk if you still respond to comments but I have a question. which companies should a broke person like me buy prize figures from? should i buy from any of these: taito, sega, branpresto, pop up parade? i have a few taito figures but yours came out so bad... im weary of buying from them again...😅😅
You see, when buying from cheaper brands such as the companies you mentioned, the detail of the figures is not the number one thing you should consider. It's because they compromise details for cheaper prices. They do have strong points! First is the price ofcourse and the variety. For banpresto and Taito for example have a lot of variations for a single figure. One Miku with tons of different colours or son Goku with different kinds (manga ver/regular ver/colored ver) and so on. Sega on the other hand boasts height and weight. That means even if it falls off the cabinet, it has a higher chance to survive being damaged 👌🏻 personally, I think you should funnel the characters you want to buy. For shonen characters, or mainstream anime series, banpresto/bandai. For girly figures Taito/sega. 👌🏻

I did not buy the Naruto Gals Tsunade Splash version for the exact reasons you mentioned. As for the others, that Rem figure's cheeks are too puffy, and the 1st Miku figure's smile is creepy, while the 2nd one's legs are ugly. Although I would love to own the Toshiro Nendoroid. Too bad I missed it.
I feel like the tsunade figure doesn't have good proportions? Tsunade does have a big chest but it's not that big, and I feel like her waist is super thin? Though that last part just might be me.
That's what I thought after looking at her IRL too. I mean I did loved her a few days after receiving but the more I looked at her the weirder the figures look lol
My issue with that Rem figure (and one I own) is the material used for her hair. It just looks weird. All my other Rem figures have nice looking hair, but one has that weird, very plastic-y, looking hair like your figure does.
I guess it's the translucent effect on the end of the hair that makes it look plastic-y. Some figures do this. Heck, most Hatsune Miku prize figures do this style esp TAITO. Idk why manufacturers go for that route tho. 🤷🏻♀️

I got the shoto todoroki nendoroid and my god.... His feet are so annoying. they just look super awkward if i decide to not leave them flat which looks really odd when posing him. Also Shoto’s extra hands literally fall every second and that’s why i never really switch them up lol xd

I regret this one Tanjiro figure I bought, the sword handle was deformed and bent, so was the head. It was the last figure they had left, but the box was all beat up. I should have known better 😔
I almost bought the first miku figure. I was watching and I thought “meh her face is ok I might buy her anyway. But then I saw the half-assed paint job on the cake and decided she wasn’t worth the $57 dollars I was about to pay for her.
