This was kind of a cheat, the Colts rested Peyton to his fury and other starters late game as the Jets took a lead. Jets were unbelievably lucky because they were out of the Playoffs without help. The help came, the Jets stole a win from a 14 win Colts and the 09 Jets made a run to the AFC Championship vs the real Colts, nobody resting. As NY Fan I didn't give a shit, my Jet fan friends were fired up and we enjoyed the hell out of that January, it was exhilarating. "The Colts in AFC Championship?? We beat them already! We beat Brady in week 2 we can beat Manning in Jan!!" 2010 was even more exhilarating, beating 14-2 Patriots IN Foxboro in Division round?? The Patriots never lost Division round as #1 seed, except 2010! To the JETS?!?!
This game is a perfect example of why Manziel didnt work in the NFL even though he had all the athleticism to succeed. His footwork and mechanics as a passer were awful and instead of being focused and willing to improve those things, he was more interested in partying and being a celebrity. Guy could still be in the league today if he was willing to put in the work.
*What a classic game.* Remember getting home from School (my Senior Yr in HS), *and being so pumped* for a *Raiders Prime-Time Game,* for the First Time Since I was a little kid. *I was praying for the Raiders TO WHOOP THEIR @$$, this Game,* but, it would end up closer than I expected. *It would also be the last win we would get against the Broncos *UNTIL FREAKING 2015!!!!* 2011 was supposed to be a Playoff Year, but it just didn’t happen like that, tragically… *Very nostalgic Game and Season, anyways.*
@Maskxprx • Just so you know, if you're a Bengals fan, Pittsburgh has practically owned the Bengals in Cincinnati since 1991. Pittsburgh is 27-7 in that time frame. Since Paycor Stadium opened in 2000, Pittsburgh is 25-5
The fans loved the team but hated the owner. He left with the county holding a bill for the last Astrodome remodel and was demanding a new stadium. He turned down new AstroTurf and then complained about the field. Left town aand took the old New York Titians namebit refused to let Houston keep the Oilers name. Then snuffed the players, it wasn't until his daughter was in charged that they started honoring the old oilers players. Bud had no respect for Houston, his old players, or the fans.
That lineman was NOT blocked into Palmer it was a dirty play. So evident! That is why the league implemented more rules to protect quarterbacks. Palmer was never the same. He became a primodona and I'm glad he left Cincy. We had to wait another 15 years before we got Joe. Thank God we finally have a GREAT quarterback. Stay healthy Joe!!
When a team has a great QB - kicker combo like Mahomes and Butker, they are destined for greatness. Think about Montana- Wersching in the 80's. So many KC games have been won when Mahomes pulls off a great play or two to get within the range of Butker's incredible no-miss foot.
I think I liked the strip from Tyreek Hill and then the pitch and touchdown better than the super bowl tyreke should have stayed in Kansas City. What happened to the good old days when teams cared more about winning then making the most ridiculous amount of money to play something they enjoy it's bullshit how much professional players in all sports make.
