Off camera had you already wired the reverse wire into reverse bulb? Also, does this system use cars existing mic?

Useful video, I had no issues installing mine into the car, but I have a few issues seen it’s been installed. 1. When I connect the phone via USB port the CarPlay kicks in no problem and all controls work with no issues, however I get no audio at all, as a workaround I’ve had to use my cars Bluetooth and just use the interface of CarPlay. 2. The wireless CarPlay part worked for a week and just doesn’t work anymore. I’ve tried resetting and forgetting the phone etc but it doesn’t work anymore. Any help would be appreciated.

Just used this to fit the unique auto carplay box in a manual evoque. No space for the unit by the gear lever (as seen here) so ended up putting it behind drivers side knee airbag. Does involve a bit more work removing the airbag while fitting but it is possible. Thanks for video. It helped me alot

I have brought a 2008 a5 with the bang and olufsen stereo, same display and centre console as the video, the car has an idcore kit installed… but i have no control over it, is there a key im supposed to press and ir hold to gain control over the system? If not ill be removing it for a Bluetooth dongle 😞

I recently purchased this from Unique Auto Developments for my 2016 and it went well and worked immediately. Just be conscious that you need a USB extension before you start the install. This is in the instructions but I think should be listed on the site (or just included in the kit). I do wish they also had more detail on where to place the mic in the video or instructions. Mine is located under the center console latch, works well and is barely visible. It's definitely worth the money and 2 hours of time.

After doing this, i would highly recommend using blue tape on the nearby surface when you pry the plastic off. I now have lots of little scratches all over the dash from the tools (same ones shown in video) Should have know better

Absolutely zero information on the products used. I managed to find the screen overlay.. but what do you use to plug in the ribbon cable. Is it just factor cabling or is there an adapter? Your site does not have this product from what i can tell. I just need the missing piece of what the ribbon cable plugs into.

The instructions the accompany this system are piss poor. It explains nothing, and covers only the most basic aspects of the installation. You guys really couldn't be bothered to include a diagram? Pretty sad

I purchased and installed your Apple CarPlay on my 2015 Jaguar F-Type R. My vehicle does not have the internal rectangular nav. device as shown on your installation manual & RU-vid video, but it still works reasonably well. Not sure why I need the USB and external audio cable though, as they don't seem to do anything. The only way the audio syncs is to then go through the mode four times until it accesses my iPhone as done without your device. Also, the screen reverts back to the factories after about 15 minutes. Keeps working uninterrupted though, just need to press the NAV icon/button.

Could anyone help me I have fitted one of these boxes and for some reason the mmi screen doesn't come on anymore by its self , also all the buttons don't work on the gear stick area , if I press media the screen comes out then goes back in , I have had the box in and out to double check all plugs is connected properly, which plug would be stopping it from working? I've managed to get everything working other than the controls - connecting my phone brought up the menu and I was able to pair everything successfully, but can't navigate the interface at all.
