The reason the induced/forced boilers are heavier is that they are made up of physical equipment (giant fans and such). Maybe historical data is available on this subject?
I feel like another rule should be to always put the largest possible guns on ships considering how large and heavily armed even the smallest ships in the imperial navy are
Have you considered lighting some incense and saying some prayers to appease the machine spirit so that it may transition out of the builder screen faster. edit: Also the Enforcer with the torpedo, 'the Emperor protects.'
33:08 There is actually a hull, which I believe Russia and Japan have, that can mount two underwater torpedo launchers in the prow instead of just one, but I don't think Austria gets it sadly. It's one of the 'three-mast cruiser' hulls I think.
In the latest 1.6.5 update with dip, i got the french building a whole class of dds with 11 inch guns as the secondary guns. How? Idk. Whole campaign is gone since encountering them in battle meant my game freezing due to that cursed setup.
@@BrotherMunro it was amusing at first, but it basically kills the game everytime it tries to load it. It freezes And i gotta start from the same save. Essentially fighting fleets with those dds in it meant clicking on auto resolve instead of battle to avoid it Whiiich kinda kills the fun of the game, plus kills my fleet and economy I have to add, though, only seen it in french fleets so far. None on others. Might be something to do with the hull rules allowing french to put big bauguettes on their destroyers :D
@@BrotherMunro when i saw it in battle, it had a white opaque square for the gun icon. 11.3 inch guns secondaries on a dd 🤣 Rip campaign though Not sure what hull it used, current year in the campaign is 1939 when i went to war and encountered it
Welcome back Brother! Glad to see youi back on the waves. Although I do have a suggestion. At such an early stage in the game, I believe it's imperative that the Emporor dumps vast amounts of cash into Rangefinding and Reload tech immediately. At this point, most all ships are about the same. Yet, the one one thing that can save you is the difference between the Quick, and the Dead. By having better accuracy and faster reloads, your ships can put more warheads on foreheaeds than your opponent. Causing far more damage than they can dish out per salvo. Coupled with faster reload mechanisms, you will also hit with more ammo than your opponent. Making even your smaller ships that much more lethal. True enough, tech advancements come in due time. But there's nothing wrong with getting across the finish line before your opponents do. that's called WINNING!!!
haven't watched yet but I am begging you to build at least one coastal defence ship class, even if just the one ship as it would be in lore a prototype to test the concept, also you are Austria Hungary who used coastal defence ships. PLZZZZZZZ!
Regarding your naming scheme for the Adjudicator. In the USN they use "flights" to differentiate between production modifications within a class. For instance you have Arleigh Burke class Flight I, Flight IIA, Flight III etc. If you look up the flight IIA it could be considered a different class from the baseline just based on appearance.

There is an Austria Hungarian ship that uses 4x3 12/13in guns? Very interesting by chance have you seen the Michelangelo Italian uh battleship/crusher thing? I think it would be very interesting to see you build your own version of it
@@BrotherMunro Well either way, I do look forward to this campaign. I hope with the fact that this is a "no scrap" campaign means that you'll end up having to make some very... innovative designs to say the least.
Do you still use Admiral Snackbars Balance Mod, or did you incorporate his balances into DIP, or did you make your own changes, with Snackbars changes as an inspiration?

With the ships having no armor I think you should armor your ships up first before adding on guns and other stuff so you don’t have to remove so much armor with already putting your weapons on it
The American light cruiser hulls are gorgeous. Especially the ones that you outfitted with quad/octofunnels. Sleek and long, with the unique towers. Also gotta love lattice masts BBs and BCs
