Thank you! Only started this channel quite recently, and it takes a while to save up for tech purchases since I’m not monetised yet. But I’ll probably give the S25 series a gander when it releases next year 👍
Using pixel in Arizona where it has been 110+ degrees the last few days. Gets warm but doesn't impede functionality unless I'm doing something intense like video call or google maps. Even then it's usually fine unless I'm driving and it's sitting in the hot car, it will get glacially slow. Kinda sucks
Ah, fairs. Yeah I imagine there’s only so much you can do to prevent that kind of slowdown, but good to hear it’s functional for standard use. Thanks for sharing!
I'm definitely a Pixel user now probably for the rest of the time I use Android. The UI and software feel so good together. I know the popular thing to do is hate on Google because they have been using slower processors. To me the experience of the device is the most important part rather than the raw horsepower
I have an s23 ultra and pixel 9 pro xl. I somehow prefer the pixel even with the slow processor. I don't play games nor edit 8k videos for a living, it's more than enough fast and way smoother
I recently upgraded my internet to AT&T fiber, and thanks to this I am able to get a great price on a phone plan through them and they are upgrading me from my oneplus 10 pro to the pixel 9 pro xl for free! If it wasn't free, I would not spend the money to get the new pixel. If I had to buy a new smartphone cash today, it would definitely be the Oneplus 12
Nice. I'm a Galaxy user mostly. We have stacked widgets and a customizable lock screen. Honestly I don't care much about either of them. But the split screen and clipboard are a big deal to me. However I'm not a content creator and I understand the advantage of the iPhone for that.
Interesting, might try out the s25 series when it releases next year so that’ll give me another perspective of Android from another manufacturer. Thanks for sharing that!
@@sukhdeepsmI feel like the RU-vid reviewers are the only people complaining about the storage sizes because they are in a eco chamber and unique position to try test all phones. Id say the reason apple and other manufacturers still sell the 128 is because there is a large user base who don't need / want such a large storage. Once the actual demand changes prob by sales numbers they will up their base storage
@@ruki9043 very possible, tech reviewers can often be out of touch which is a limitation of this platform, although I’d argue that my storage needs haven’t changed much since starting this channel, so this is something I’d be arguing even if I didn’t review tech like this. Appreciate I may just be an outlier 😅 but I can only speak from my experience here
@@sukhdeepsm hahah your personal habits may not have changed but that could also be the reason you are where you are. You have a passion for and are tech enthusiast so naturally are a more indepth user than the general population.
my mom still uses my Pixel 2 xl (released in 2017) even if it's not officially supported from 2020, my mom doesn't care about updates :D and the phone still works fine. So, G4 should hold 7 years with official support.
Hi, great video! Would you mind telling me the track that's playing around 4:40? I see from your description that it's from the Epidemic Sound library, but if you know the artist and song name I'd really appreciate it!
as a lfc fun am happy we are team pixel......love the pixel photos am happy you love Android great video bro you make enjoyable and informative videos.....
while i like mac products, i always feel they half cut a product.. barr a couple of them.. this video answered the hz issue and why a more higher number wouldnt work. & yes they tend to add software mods, but the price of this isnt worth a grand plus.. i'd say its worth 800 quid maybe.. The fan issue they could have put those on the back.
I agree with pretty everything you said there. I don’t think you can really rationalise buying a Studio Display, other than saying “I want one and I’m going to get one” (and I imagine Apple fully know this)
They've done their investigating when it comes to competitive markets. Your video helped answer that 60hz question a lot probably wondered why they didn't use stand 100-120hz. Have been looking for a screen of some sort, thats thing but good technicals to it, plus for pc and console to route through. ive seen some do it with this, but i cant see it being enough on the refresh rate..
@@sukhdeepsm ideal monitor ive been looking for does xbox series x midrange hz quality, 4k, low power support, because electrics become expensive lately. to also run as an external for macmini/macbook, and lastly midrange mini pc for AA games. not interested in triple a ones yet..
A note on the Apple Intelligence stuff. Notification summaries are really growing on me (especially when in group chats), worth trying out once available in October if you have a supported device.
Thanks. Spent the first couple of days learning the ins and outs of Android, overall it’s been fun, though I would say there are a lot of smaller things I miss about iOS which do add up. Will make a note about the iPhone recording video
for me personally, spotify became the choice because there is a lot of music from games, for example, if you have completed the game Nier Automata and wanted to listen to the music from this game, you will not find it in Apple Music, also in terms of sound quality, if you turn off sound normalization in spotify, you will not hear the difference between the services at all. Spotify also have animated Albums(Canvas) u can find this option in app settings, and also, I have 5k songs in my playlist, and if I want to listen to a specific artist, I enter it in the search, in Apple Music, when you select a song from the list of songs found in the playlist, for some reason it transfers you to the location of the song in the playlist, while in Spotify you remain in the list of found songs and can choose from them, by the way, this is probably the main disadvantage of Apple Music, because of which I cannot use it
Great discussion and summary, thank you. Thank you for getting this out quickly too. I didn’t want to follow the event closely this year so very happy to have this overview and your insight. cheers!
Yeah, they need to have a version of the folio that protects the pencil. Weird miss from Apple. I’m sure they don’t mind people buying a new pencil when it falls off and gets lost hah.
The air vents are real. Apple put the power supply into the case and there are 2 fans that can vent heat from the power supply, if needed. But it happens only when it gets hot (they usually don't turn on).
Hey Sukhdeep, my name is Johnny and I'm a freelance logo designer, currently I'm looking for more works, would you love to have a logo to help your audiences easier to find and follow your useful tech review contents, as the loyalty building trademark symbol surrounding your works and as the proud image to print on your merchs too? I would love to help you create a monogram logo inspired by your passions for you! Let me know if you interested to make it happen! 🙂
Hey Johnny thanks for the message. I’m not currently looking for any graphic design / logo changes, but do you have an email / website I can contact you through if I ever do? Maybe hit me up on Twitter (@sukhdeep_s_m) or Instagram (@sukhdeepsreels) if you get the chance. Appreciate you reaching out :)
Great video, just got a macbook after my lifetime use of windows. While there are features on macOS that are amazing, they are really missing out on the other aspects of Windows OS that make life much easier.
Thank you for the kind comment! Yeah, there's honestly a lot of low hanging fruit that a system as mature and old as MacOS should have. Thankfully we're getting window snapping in MacOS Sequoia this fall so that's one step closer to bridging the gap.
Interesting review that led to a boisterous debate among 5 friends. Three in the group were Spotify users and the other two were Apple Music fans. Here is where it got enlightening. Using the same Bose headphones, each were played their own personal choice of songs and were told to rate the music quality. Three could not tell the difference and the remaining two picked incorrectly choosing Spotify when Apple Music was playing. Hmmm…No audiophiles in this group I guess. I myself use both services as Spotify has the better algorithm for new songs when on long road trips in the car. I have an iPhone so Apple Music there is a given. Thanks for an intelligent review.
Interesting take! I think the audio is one of those things you don't appreciate unless you've become accustomed to it. For example, after years of listening to Usher in Dolby Atmos, I can definitely tell the difference when I switch to Spotify, but I'm certain none of my Spotify friends would notice if I asked them to listen on AM. Which begs the question of why one would switch if they are already content with Spotify's sound quality - and I don't really have an answer for that 😐 Thanks for the comment!
@@sukhdeepsm Exactly right. My friend always has Spotify playing in her car on CarPlay. I asked her why not AM on CarPlay? She replied, “Spotify sounds better.” The old adage: Beauty is in the eye of the beholder is so true…even to the ear.
I switched to Apple Music only because of better sound quality which Spotify does not have and I will be honest. Magic to my ears with Apple Music. It feels like Apple Music is ahead of their game with better sound quality and theme color light or dark theme for the app. Spotify is behind on all this. But I love and enjoy Apple Music more. 😊
Yep, being able to view stuff in light mode when outdoors is an underrated feature. Ironic considering it took forever for Apple to introduce dark mode on iOS 😅
@@sukhdeepsm Yeah. I had another question. Does light mode take too much battery usage for iPhone 14 Plus phones since I myself own a iPhone 14 Plus phone? Because as of now I have it on dark mode but scared to switch to light mode since afraid it will drain my battery 🔋 🪫
@@anmoldeepchahal1567 dark mode will drain battery life a bit less - but only by like 3-9%. If you have a plus sized iPhone it’s not really something worth worry about unless you battery health is approaching 80%
6-7 years is quite a long time, so it’s always worth future-proofing yourself as much as you can if you can afford it - better to have the extra storage and not need it than to need it later and not have it, as they say.
