I will be taking my 2nd months injection of Mounjaro tomorrow. I lost 14 lbs the previous month (in 2 weeks) but nothing since. I am unable to do walking or anything as I had fell and broke my hip which really hasn't done well since the operation. I also have DDD, Osteoporosis, Osteoarthritis, Aortic Stenosis & Interstitial Pulmonary Fibrosis, so I am in a lot of pain! I lead a very sedentary life which is frustrating, I used to teach dancing at the local college! I am 77. Can you suggest anything I could do please to become more active.
Real fruit with it's natural fiber is better than fruit in syrups, etc. but fruit is good! Especially if you have a sweet tooth. Fruit vs candy. DON'T drink your calories!
What happens when you've lost the weight, you've stopped the medication and you get a raging appetite rebound? What are your strategies then apart from crawling back into the woodwork?
Thank you so much! I’ve taken Mano 2.5 for two months now. Down 15 pounds. I am 57 and currently weigh 159 and 73 years old. Been doing a lot of exercise. I’m wondering if I even need to go up to five of Monjo?thank you
My doctor few months ago prescribed me this but I can't take it because my co pay for it be around $1,500 I can't do that I was on Ozimpic was on it for 2 years until my doctor is unable the prescribed it to me because they changed how I can get it on how I would qualify for it my insurance pay it all on the Ozimpic so now I'm taking neither one of them I'm hoping one day I can get something I'm 53 be 54 in January at 272 weight at 6ft 4in and I'm a OTR truck driver
What happens when you’ve shed a ton of weight but now you’ve hit a stall and can’t get past that threshold? I’m working out regularly, eating low carb, etc. thanks!
Lipitor was keep me in bed, hurting joints , muscle atrophying.. switched repatha, 3 days into first shot I feel pretty good actually was able to walk 3 miles this . lipitor didn't want to move
I lost 50 pounds on mounjaro and was down to 180 but I kept getting gout in my one ankle and could barely walk at all 2 days after taking the injection. It’s an amazing drug. Starting it again and taking a gout med and upping water intake
How can you recommend wheat bread, oatmeal, and brown rice? These are high glycemic foods that will make it more difficult to lose weight and improve health.
Anyone have a clue why after 90-days of having Repatha injections both my ApoB and LDL increased when replacing daily 40mG of Atovastatin? Sounds like adding LDL receptors to my liver basically replaced my Atovastatin effectiveness of creating less LDL. I'll see if my doctor will let me also add NEXLIZET(combination of 2 medicines, bempedoic acid and ezetimibe).
Thank you for this amazing video!! Mounjaro has done amazing things for my glucose levels. I haven't really focused on the weight loss piece, but I think just walking will help me so much. You also have the sweetest demeanor! New following/subscriber!!! Thank you again!
What are your thoughts on supplemental protein with drinks like Isopure that are liquid protein but not bulky like shakes? I’m concerned about muscle loss.
I started Mounjaro 5 weeks ago and I had a weird first few weeks of a journey, and I'm frustrated and confused... Started on 2.5mg and Wk1-Lost 2pounds, Wk2-Lost 18pounds (Not lying-I was shocked), after that week, I've not lost a pound, but also I've not put on any either!!! Wk5 I went up to 5.0mg and still I've not lost anything!!! Please can someone give me some info? I cut all sugars, sweets, carbs out by Week 3, then cut back my portions. I just don't feel hungry and no cravings which is great, and now for 2 weeks I've had no carbs except a wholemeal roll with some cooked meat on, any other meals its high in protein and vegetables, no carbs. I'm also drinking a lot of fresh lime water with a dash of sugar free squash and a vitamin C effervescant as in the evening I take a lot of tablets for my ailments (Bad osteoarthritis). YEs I've not really started any exercise, should I now add this? Please help! What am I doing wrong ?!?!?
Sorry if this is a question asked already, but what are the long term side effects of this medication? I’m reading about Cancer Cells developing in mice/mouse… the risk of developing Cancer Cells (thyroid Tumor) in humans is apparently there but the risk is less, research shows… I’ve lost 25 kg naturally but still have 18 kg to loose to achieve my goal. Tried all sorts of diets and lifestyle change but I’m stuck and can’t drop any more than 25kg…. I’m so afraid of the above mentioned side effect of this medication 😖 any thoughts on this?
Hi! I have been taking Wegovy and am now on the highest dose of 2.4mg once a week. I have lost weight and my Diabetes 2 status is at an all time low of 41 m/moll which I am very happy about (I don't have Diabetes!). However, I find with Wegovy that my cravings still exist and I have strayed a little and put on a bit of weight. Can I ask if I can swap over to Mounjaro having used Wegovy. I was speaking to someone who is already on Mounjaro and she says it is excellent to curb cravings (that she also has a problem with). Would love to hear from you. Thanks.
if you mounjaro current dose is working, should you still go up? Is it going to make it better so to speak? I hope I make sense. I'm on 5mg week 3. Can anybody give any advice?
You forgot the most important: eat LESS. Like REALLY LESS. You hardly need any food over the day actually. Dont be tempted to eat just because its time to eat! Suplement with good high quality low kalorie nutrients.
Just another quick fix for anybody on this medication? Has anybody even talked about having a lower immune system to infections when on this medication or rising blood sugar levels? Big Pharma and the healthcare system doesn’t want you to get better they lose money that way they want to keep you sick on drugs. Nobody talks about getting to the root cause. People that are on these meds and do a life style change in what they’re eating and may have lose 40-50 pounds in the process…. and the doctors still keep them on these meds “why”? They need to have blood work done to see if their LDL is lowered naturally not with medication. It’s a great way to keep people in the loop of big Pharma. Money, money, money.👎🏼
Bc/bs will not cover any of the weightloss drugs without diabetes. Edit; when wegovy says it's fda approved for obesity they just offer it to you for $1000 as of that's anything.
