The warden at one site last year told me that the Club makes more money from the safari tents than all other units put together. Depressing or what? Perhaps if the Club did away with seasonal pitches, safari tents, mobile homes, log cabins, pods and bungalows they’d fit in a lot more tourers and make just as much money. I’ve given up being a member now. As a tent camper, most of the Club sites are not available to me during roughly five months of the year, so I can only use their sites for seven month per year, but my membership fee is the same price as someone with a caravan or motor home who can camp on most sites 12 months of the year. The Club must think I’m an idiot.
good video but need to point out that there is a walkway across the outside of deck 6 all around, so as far as I know none of the rooms directly look out to sea, only decks that have proper outside view cabins are on decks 5 and 8.
The head office couldn’t care less, ignore complaints and take the wardens side no matter what they do , absolutely appalling company . Do not go anywhere near the camping and caravanning club I have received horrible treatment from wardens at 99 % of their sites . Go to independent sites, where customer service is good - read reviews , take heed. I wish I had .
It would have been more useful to have demonstrated how to pair the remote, external push-button element with the plug-in wall unit rather than run through lots of the different tune options.
The green one must be plant based oil. Normal plant based oil can gum up and get solid. I have observed this also with some plant based bike chain lubes. Not all. But normally this takes a while. What is your experience the the Green One? This could get you in big trouble. Especially in applications like a doorlock. Imagine it gum up inside there!!!
I have just been reminded that I did this video 5 years ago and since then I have had about seven others, all coachbuilt motorhomes and all have ended up 'benefitting' from my modifications. I have also rebuilt a classic Eriba Puck caravan with a very rusty chassis that needed rebuilding. I would post videos on all of them, but I don't because my internet upload speed is 0.8mbps. I don't know how people do lots of videos, how do they get a decent upload speed?
Sounds daft but can this be put up without a van? Just as a stand-alone tent? I was missold this as a tent but I’d love to still get use out of it somehow!
Yes you can just zip up the part that would normally be attached to the van. It’s designed to be left as a standalone tent when the van is off the campsite.
Suitable for your use. We have one that is slightly bigger but uses normal AA batteries. Not so keen on built in batteries as it gives the device a "lifetime". Still ours is bigger and not suitable for pocket as you use it...
Yes I did wonder how long the internal battery will last but time will tell I suppose, I'll probably want the latest gizmo by the time the battery runs out.
Does anyone know if these are just a cable with a different plug on each end or is there any sort of transformer etc involved? For my own interest I was toying with the idea of making my own up.
I boght one to, ( on Amazon ) is not fiting on the poke. Killed it. Way does Fiat do not use a knob one can turn on the poke. In the garage they try to ripp me off for 80 Euro's. I ordered an other one and gonna have a look I can't drill a hole trough it and also trough the poke. In my pushing it on the poke it broke inside. And it is not gooing on. Why no video the moment you pushed it on?
Whilst these couplers provide an easy way for caravan owners to connect up to mains at home, they are potentially lethal . Under certain supply fault conditions (see video) the whole frame of a caravan can become live, someone standing on the ground touching the van can get a potentially lethal shock. Its also why this product is never supplied by caravan manufacturers. Manufacturers please take note, if you don't withdraw the product at least include a warning with it, the vast majority of caravaners are not electricians and will use this product in blissful ignorance.
Hi Graham, just touching base regarding this particular Jackery unit. I have had mine now for just over a year, and despite some concerns regrading cost, yes it is a little over priced, it is a fantastic unit. Others will no doubt have their own opinions on this unit or others similar units, but the 500 and solar panel has really served me well and I do not for one moment regret buying it. I use mine when out camping and even without direct sunlight, the panel will keep this unit charged enough to keep my power supply requirements completely satisfied for as long as I need it, the longest I have been out (off grid) is 9 days. The unit keeps my compressor freezer/cooler box running, charges my camera, my laptop, my phone and my lighting no problem. Technology has moved on since these units first came out (Lifepo4) which is definitely worth looking at, but regarding this unit, its just brilliant. Oh, I do occasionally post on the SMH forum from time to time 😉😉
Never had one, DO they come with a tune that, sounds anything lika alarm? curious to set one in my ebike, in case I get notified someone snaggin at it, using my wireless android rumble sensor.
