I want stone mill grinding diagram. My specifications are 2m diameter Weight around 1 ton for runner stone Weight around 750kg for bed stone Revolution is 15 revolution per minute I want a diagram for the same. Please help me out. Will the flour grinded through this method be gluten free or not?
I can't see it running. My father used to have an old-time cornmeal grinder that he took around to festivals and the like, grinding and selling cornmeal. That fresh cornmeal was better than the mass production stuff you buy at the store. I miss it (he has passed).
Hi Don - at 22 seconds into the video one of the hatches is open to show the rotating screen inside the bolter. We have a more detailed explanation of how a bolter works on our website (www.deltamill.org). The mill also has a "Champion Grinder" (not presently operational) that was acquired in 1922 and used to grind various grains into animal feed.
Yes, I live on the Rideau and visit the various lockstations every so often. Kingston Mills is in the middle of a major maintenance/restoration program at the moment.

The stone ground flour is only available for purchase at the mill (in Delta, Ontario, Canada). The mill is open from late May to the beginning of September from 10 am to 5 pm daily.
This video was very informative and very interesting. The gentleman giving the instruction was very interesting. Wishing that there was more to see the full process. If ever I could have a mill this would e the kind. Thanks very much.

Hi Christian - at the moment the flour is only sold at the mill in Delta - not enough is ground to allow for greater commercial distribution other than to a couple of local bakeries who produce bread for sale at the mill.
Thanks - the video was shot with a Canon 60D and a Rode shotgun microphone (a budget system). The white noise in the background is the water running through the raceway inside the mill (so not ideal conditions).
@@kww1832 This summer I will be employed as a miller in Denmark's luckiest mill. And must be in charge of the exhibition in the magazine house. As well as making pictograms so that guests from home and abroad can see how the mill worked when it was in use. Is it a possibility that I have to use your film clip, which so painterly describes how a mill grinds flour and how to dress a millstone. If I can be allowed, I would like to be able to use an original copy so that I can put Danish subtitles under your descriptions. Hoping for a positive answer.
