Been using for 2 years now. Still getting security patches. Will flash it with Lineage OS and keep using it for another 2 years. The snapdragon 778G is still a solid chip, no slowdowns.
Don't buy POCO F6 5G, I am regretting it after buying it on the first day of sale. After 1 week of normal usage my phone started having a screen flickering problem, I only noticed it 3-4 times so I ignored it. But after 1 month my display is dead. The service center employees were very rude and informed that there are no displays available for replacement in Mumbai. At the service center I met 2 more customers with the same F6 display dead problem. POCO F6 has a serious display issue.
Ive boguht it this month, very cheap and very good at gaming for me so far. Very good battery too. There's no better midrange phone this year, tho i might upgrade to the 13T pro flagship
i'm using 7% battery for every hour of watching video. so that's about 15 hours screen on time. not sure what this guy is talking about getting 4-5 hours.
the only thing missing in this phone is a good selfie, if it had that I will buy it in a heart beat, I will buy a phone in 2 weeks max, probably the one that I will have in my hands is the Edge 50 Pro, where I live it's basically just a 100 dollars more expensive.
How many 5G antennas are there where you live? There is zero in my whole country. And there will continue to be zero because no one cares. If you compare picture quality of note 12 pro 4G and pro 5G, the camera is better on 4G model, it's closer to Pro plus model (100mpx) and I am talking about the details contained in those megapixels, not megapixels because canon A51 from 2 decades ago took better pictures.
Probably worth it for me cus I've been using a crappy phone for like 4 years lol, I'm planning to buy this phone on September :) my phone chipset is literally a low end chipset from 2018 😭
Exactly me lol... I've been using the redmi 8a dual for 4 years... Which was 2 + 32 GB... I jumped to 12+ 512 GB... I couldn't have asked for another phone
I'm happy you reviewed this phone. I recognize many of the issues with my 11 Lite you mentioned. The battery life is indeed very shirt, especially at 90 Hz. At 60 Hz, it lasts just enough for me. I do find the audio connection, GPS accuracy, and even my photos remain good. I have very few scratches and my buttons have no issues. I await your next long-term review.
Bro 6 months is NOT the life cycle of a midrange phone. I have used midrange smartphones since 2013 and I had 3 phones in total, all midrange and under 350€ when I bought them. I used each one of them 3 to 4 years, now it's time to upgrade again. Midrange is good enough for 4 years of usage unless you want to game or are willing to pay a lot just to have no lags
You expect smartphone brands to come with a groundbreaking feature every year? Wth Smartphones are extremely matured tech, they are so full of features most people don't use half of them. They still ad stuff but common all we need is the phone to be good and have a decent price...
The size difference is because they redesigned their wide and telephoto lenses. The new lenses use a different thread diameter and the filters that you have are for the new lenses. Their anamorphic lenses, both 1.33 and 1.55, are the old thread diameter. I have the same experience.
This is so strange recently became very confused by this same issue. Why does their specs on sandmarc website say anamorphic thread is 43 though? I’ve noticed other inconsistent data on their site which is frustrating. They need to be more careful to update the specs.. I tried to put a 43mm filter on the anamorphic and I can tell it would have to be 40.5mm however how do their filters which also say 43mm and say they are compatible then work on the anamorphic when a different brands 43mm don’t? I need help this is so confusing lol update your site sandmarc.
I mean HyperOS is great but also bad at same time, yeah im sure they improve a lot but the problem is the optimization is so bad and the battery for some reason doesnt hold longer for 6 hours atleast, even a samsung phone with exynos chip still got decent 7 hours onscreen, this is truly disappoint and that's why i changed to samsung, samsung might not bring more about performance but definitely give me more than 1 day usage.
