With what shops are charging, I’d like to give it a shot myself first. I’m a very skilled and multifaceted automotive technician who cut my teeth working on the best of the best. If I can’t tint my own windows after two tries, I’ll pony the money up but it’s so cheap to do yourself that it’s financially irresponsible not to try to do it yourself first.
I was interested to see how this was done properly, after I invested $950 to get my car tinted. I have seen too much poorly produced and arguably inaccurate information provided on RU-vid by what I would consider unqualified individuals. This, however, is the opposite. This is fantastically well done. Clear, explicit instruction and demonstration. It makes me believe I can do it. That's good and bad. He makes it look so easy, but of course, like most things, when it looks easy, that means you've found someone very good at what they do. It isn't actually this easy. Well done! I may sign up for the course just to gain the knowledge.
If the film is actually so inexpensive, wouldn't it be best for both the customer and your shops reputation to just pull it off and do it over again, obviously installer needs more practice anyway... Fingers happen exactly what your having to deal with
When cleaning (prepping) the window can i use a regular razor blade to clean any gunk off of the glass? Im taking about scraping at a shallow angle to just clean the inside and outside before even doing a final clean?
Hi, when did you peel the skin off of the film after you applied it on the window? (You said it’s best to use a peel board but we could do it off the car too.)

I can attend and put mission briefs into action with 8 other good soldiers...but I'm afraid to do this to my 04 F350 woodworking truck that has dents, a missing bumper and one odd-ball tire not matching the rest. Plus, my wife said I can do this...though she would prefer I talk with this accent this young fella has.
