As a beginner in the surfzone, it is good to see that you skilled surfers can be overpowered by the sea, too. And that when it goes wrong, it does have an effect such as shown at 3:10. It tells me about your passion.
Love to be at your skill level some day I'm working on it I can punch out through the waves but can only surf so far back .what's the make and model of your kayak if you don't mind me asking
The surfers in my area will yell at you for coming near them. Then when the conditions get big they move to the “no surfing” area. The same “no surfing” area that is the only place I can ever play in my kayak. When confronted they act like total bad@sses until given a taste of of their own medicine. Then they cry about it.
Very nice! You don’t see many people tackling waves that size in a sea kayak. Love the painted PFD! Also a good example of how kayaks with higher volume do better than low volume in the big stuff.
