That's pretty impressive. I like how he really fights those rollers that are trying to flip him over. Man, you look at those waves and you have rocks on both sides of you: that takes some high level self-confidence.

Bravo!
No it’s Rick Dale. You know he wrote that one famous song “Mister Loop” it’s in Kwintin Tearing Teeno’s film called “Pulled Friction” with Yewma Thermos Sam Yewelel Jaxin and that guy from Sat Her Date Night Out with Fever
Hi, this looks great. I am new to this and have played a bit on my local beach. What is the technique he is using with the paddle? Anyone got info or can point to a tips video I would be most grateful
Very impressive. Great video. Great skills. Sick sea kayak surfing? Absolutely. That's some pretty sweet stuff for sea kayaking there, and there are very few, very few sea kayakers you would see out tackling that stuff. I certainly would find it challenging and thrilling, and would hope that I could handle it as well as you. I'm not sure that I could. I think you do something that I'm trying to do less and less, and I think in a Delphin, you maybe could do it less. I see anticipation of pearlinsg/bow dive/stall in front of the broken whitewater wave, and so you broach your kayak, where I think you could keep riding out front without broaching, and minimize side-surfing more often. I know why I learned to broach my sea kayak in those situations, so I understand what's going on. I've taken some thrashings bow diving and stalling, getting thrown forward randomly in a wall of turbulent whitewater. But if your bow doesn't dive and your kayak doesn't stall, which is the idea behind that bow rocker in a Delphin, you can maintain your directional control and extend your rides right along in front of the broken wave. I should say it looks like it might be possible. In the boat in the conditions is the only place a person can figure this out, and this could be a case of easier said than done. Keep it up. That's some awesome stuff.
***** Too much volume in a sea kayak. He and I both know that he can't break off of that much broken wave. In a sea kayak, you've lost most of your control when you're in a side surf. If you can spin it forward on the foam pile and start going forward, you gain that control back. If you prevent yourself from broaching, you keep that control. Riding the foam pile is a lot of fun in a sea kayak. It's not a wave ski or surf board, doing bottom and top turns at will as long as you're in position on a breaking wave off of a point. Different sport, different skill set, different goals. It's really not the same for sea kayak surfers. But it's still a lot of fun.
Love to be at your skill level some day I'm working on it I can punch out through the waves but can only surf so far back .what's the make and model of your kayak if you don't mind me asking
I dont know why you call it sick kayak? It amazing feeling when you rush in wave in kayak as well as on surf. I prefer smaller waves, but He is smart and he can handle it, so its pure joy! Well done man!
Sooo I'm planning a winter getaway from the rainy Pacific Northwest USA, and would like to visit someplace warm and do nothing but surf a kayak. How often do you get waves like this on the Med? Assuming this is all wind-driven? We were in the south of France last year and I was surprised to find surfers -- all wind-driven. A visit to Spain would be fantastic!
Hi Wesley, do not have waves like these very often, few days a month. It does not always blow the wind generates waves like these. It must be east wind known as "llevantada".
@@kayak_experience Thanks for the reply. That makes sense -- that's what I saw in France, too. Those short periods are the giveaway. Have you ever paddled west or northwest coastal Spain?
@@WesleyPicottePhotography of course, I live in this area. I usually paddle in Costa Brava (Girona). if you want to see photos of the area take a look in my instagram profile. instagram.com/kayak_experience/
Molt bo tio.....y a pèl, sense timón..!!! visca els teus co.....s..!!! ?
sick bro. hes got good control until the white water hits then its just a scramble. Ive seen a lot of guys ride the wave then u turn and bust through the white water to paddle back out and catch another one.
