My channel is geared towards fixing cars and houses. I've been working on cars and fixes houses since I was a kid. I also show cool projects that I work on from time to time.
I did the same thing when I installed all new exhaust system from manifolds to tailpipe ... painted everything with that high heat black ... 4 cans I think. That was March 2020 and still have no rust
I just experienced this in the morning today smh though my trans was going outta on my 07 avalanche had the truck 2022, I kinda figured it was that throttle position sensor thanks for the video👍🏽✊🏽
You're very welcome. Here is a link for the part. There are two different ones for these vehicles. Im having thos issue aswell left me stranded..i though i was my alternator..but it just did it again luckily i was close to my house...i got code. P1516 ..P2101..P2135..
You should unplug the connector to the throttle body and inspect it to see if the contacts are intact. Clean it before reconnecting it. Also inspect that harness. The throttle body will not set off all three of those codes. The wire harness that connects to that throttle body has been a problem for these vehicles. This was published on a bulletin by GM back years ago. That would be my initial diagnose before changing out parts. Thanks for watching.
I recieved a p0556 code for the brake booster sensor after replacing a bad vacuum pump. I don't think it was out before, could changing the vacuum pump cause this? Is it possible the vacuum pump isn't tightened down enough. Or should I go ahead and replace the sensor?
Try replacing the sensor. Also, was the vacuum pump new OEM or an aftermarket part? If the pump wasn't tightened down enough, it wouldn't have taken long for you to notice it.
@@TerenceDIY I'll try the sensor. I think it was an aftermarket one, the only one available at the time. How would I notice quickly? The brakes seem to work fine now but haven't really stopped hard yet.
If it weren't tightened, it would take no time for it to be damaged. That's how you would know. Your brakes would not function properly. Mine just went out, will swap mine out today and use these tips/mistakes for reference 😊. Sucks how the more I fix on this camper, the more breaks… at least it was free.
Thanks for the video! Is there a certain type of grease that needs to be used to have the spider injector slide into the upper intake or will any grease do?
Mines wasn't working at all. I show the wiring in great detail in this video but nothing that pertains to an issue in which you are encountering. Hopefully some info is here to help you.
You did a good job explaining this procedure. Thank man. I’ve started hearing clunks in the rear and this could be it, going to jack up my car tomorrow and check some bushings.
@@TerenceDIYI have a 2007 with 90k miles, the rear looks to be the same setup though. The car sat for a while so everything rubber is badly deteriorated. I just looked at the rear and just about every part looks like it could be causing the noise. I had to replace everything for the front end…
Oh, you have one of the earlier years. I can believe that those bushing were dry rotted especially after sitting up despite the low mileage. The setup you have may look similar but it's a totally different design. Your setup went from 04-12.
Do you know if Chevy sells just the bushings? I have access to a press. Trying to save a few dollars, who knows the bushing might be as much as the full assembly.
Yes, you are correct. They are selling those bushings for a little over half the cost of the part. I’m having same problem all odd injector side codes when I went and checked fuse it was blown than walked thru all the steps you did and no blown fuse even drove it a bit and nothing what else could I check ?
I painted my 78 in my 1 car garage myself ...never painted ANYTHING before ..I think I did a damn good job myself ...some plastic and window fans with filters and it was all I needed .. I did watch a ton of painting videos but with a little patience and courage you can Definitely turn out a nice home garage paint job ..I even did stripes ...My arch nemesis was the damn clear coat !!! THATS definitely an art putting that on...!!
Thank you SO much for the advice and encouragement. I am very patient and meticulous on how I do things so hopefully that will help. We'll see very soon. Lol. Thanks for tuning in.
@TerenceDIY check out a guy called Underground paint King...his names Ottis ..he's awesome at explaining tricks and tips ...gun settings and techniques...he's a good dude ..
I've watched quite a few of his videos. I am fan of his work. I have also been in touch with one of the top painters on RU-vid as well. Although he rarely replies to questions, he gave me some good pointers and tips on how to approach my situation. Thanks for the heads up. I am dialed in!

I bought this mower used and has done quite a few fixes to get it back up to par including changing the blades in which I have a video on. I take care of everything I own. Thanks for watching.
A couple quick questions... did it do the same thing before you installed the new fuel pump (starts then dies) and was the fue pump installed a new aftermarket one?
Hi Tetemce, I can tell from your video that you take pride in your lawn. I can also tell you take good care of your equipment. Your riding lawnmower looked like it was well maintained and taken care of. That says a lot about you. You have my respect, sir.
Reverse and 4th gear are on the manual valve thats actuated by you when you shift the shifter the rest of your gears are controlled by ssv solenoid switching valve ( the solenoid block). When the ssv shits you go into limp and only have the manual valve reverse and 4th and there isn't any torque converter lock up either. The ssv block fails but also the ssv bore on the valve bodies are known to wear out and leak pressure causing the trabs to go into limp just the same .
The switch has nothing to do with the idle. Check the throttle cable to see if it's moving in and out freely. I wish I were there to see the issue, I probably could see the problem quickly.
Thanks Terrence for all the knowledge. Im working on a 5.7 express. I have some questions, i have crank but no start. Only starts with start fluid. Fuel pump kicks on, new battery, new distributor cap, new camshaft sensor, tested the fuel pressure filter but not leaking fuel through it. But i did have a cut wire on the evap purge solenoid, will that stop it from starting? Also i spilled alittle fuel into the port/hole near the spider when taking off the old fuel pressure regulator, but cleaned up with paper towels. Am i safe to try to start? Wish i had you contact info. Sorry for the long mesage.
Although the fuel pump is turning on doesn't mean it's functioning properly. I have had many cases where the fuel pump was to weak to start the vehicle despite it powering up. That wire on the evap solenoid would not stop the vehicle from starting. You will get an error code from it. Repair the cut wire. As far as the little fuel that dropped into the port, it's perfectly fine. The problem would be if the injector is not seated into the port correctly. That would potentially cause a fire if that were the case.
@TerenceDIY I got a fuel pump. I'm gonna start there, but only issue I can't drop the tank it's full. I'm probably gonna cut through the floor with a reciprocating saw. I do have pressure on vavle stem but not high pressure, just enough to flow. Would the spider injectors not allow to start also? I'm just curious to diagnose.
The injectors will not allow it to start if the fuses were blown . If you were to start it with starter fluid, it will not run because the injectors would not be squirting. You said it runs once you use starter fluid correct? And it does not turn off unless you turn the ignition off correct?
@TerenceDIY it only starts with starter fluid but only stays on with starter fluid. Otherwise, it dies. I'm starting to think now that it's the rotor cap after watching another video. I replaced only the distributor cap, not the rotor cap, and my rotor cap is/was pretty corroded with blue.
I am pretty sure it's NOT the rotor cap. If the rotor cap was not generating a spark, the car would not start when you use starter fluid. It sounds like your fuel pump is faulty.
hey, great video man. Those old blades sure looked like they've been battle tested. Ill bet it was a much smoother ride with the new blades on, no more vibrating. I just put new blades on my mower as well. Even the discharge is also better with the new blades. Thanks for the video and your time.❤❤
Wow. Been doing this since I was 12. I can stand with the best of them. I don't care how many subscribers someone has. You can look at the comments at some of my highest rated videos... enough said.
The jack I was using for the transmission is my ATV/ Motorcycle jack. Here are a few links to some jacks I recommend you buy since you are just getting your feet wet (links below).
