Yes, you learn to get along on the roads in a way that sticks w/ you. Defensive Riding is mandatory if you wanna survive & you'll be allowing cars to pass even on roads where you can go the posted speed limits ! I had a TOMOS Targa that got 110mpg of gas & it had like a cool fairing on it making it look sleek..... lol, not like classic scooters -n- stuff. You see everything you never knew was there like you said, every yard & stuff in those yards, and everything is visible on these bikes. Mine had 20inch tires which made for added handling/safety but I understand everything you've talked about here..... it is a good feeling & cheap to operate as you said. Mine costed $1200 in 1996 but all that said, I'd do a Rukus if needed or the Honda 150L dual sport for $3000 ? I know your bike is a Honda so it's almost bullet proof..... ride safe & peace
Great job on the video's. Tough little bike and rider. The Grom is a go anywhere beast! I was thinking in the past of getting a Grom, but decided instead for the Honda Xr150l. I love my Xr150l. Over 120mpg and will do 80kph all day.
Nice that you have the two motorcycles to switch it up and add to your creative content. Those are some muddy roads if that’s what you call them in New Brunswick 😂
the speed with which you entered that rock section.. man, you really stood your ground for longer than could be expected😂. I am glad you are fine! Great video, thank you.
wow, nice scenery from NB. Super cool bike, I am thinking about getting this model myself. Would love to see more of your ride, off road and on road. Cheers from Ukraine!
Started riding scooters when I opened a scooter rental for Expo 86. Kept an elite 150cc out of the bikes. Loved that scooter. Fast forward and many motorcycles later i just picked up a ruckus from a friend for zipping around town. My other ride is a decked out for adventure klr 650.
There was a series of misfires before this one. One went over the harbor and presumably landed among the boats, then some other landed on the ground in in the distance, then this one
So, I never considered this as a gravel or off road bike, but it looks like it's kinda ok-ish at it (when you jammed up that dirt pile I was sure you were going to spill! - was that on street tires?). I'm an experienced rider, 53 and have been riding (street) on and off for 35 years but lately have been longing to go back to the simplicity of a basic, smaller bike (I have a Shadow 1100 right now, honestly, in suburban traffic riding it feels more like work than fun) and this TU250X kinda brings me back to my first bike, a CB350 (XS400, Vanvan and TW200, too). My girlfriend and I are moving to Nova Scotia in the next year or so and really look forward to living in a place where speeds are more sane and country roads are abundant - perfect for small bikes. In the suburbs of Atlanta where we currently live - people drive too fast and stupid here for a small bike to be safe. Great job on the video.
That was with full street tires! I've since put on some dual sport tires and they're treating much better with the odd places I end up. This is my first motorcycle aside from some 50cc Honda Ruckus', so I couldn't say how it compares to the bigger bikes. However, I absolutely love cruising these NB and NS backroads. It is just barely strong enough to feel reckless, but it takes some enjoyable effort (at least for me) to keep it at a lively pace. You're going to have a great time being back. I moved away from around the Greater Vancouver area and am so glad to not have people stacked everywhere
Always getting pretty footage! My parents and I are looking forward to watch next week's video. Saving up for a ruckus so I can adventure on my weekends. Hopefully, yours will still be available by the time I have the cash.
Thank you! My Ruckus isn't the finest one around if you're looking to get a long life out of one. You're going to have a great time with whatever you get. Two wheels is the way to be whenever its safe!
@howdidigetthere Thank you for replying! I can't wait to get some wheels. Yours may not be anything 'special', but to me and my family, that blue ruckus of yours is legendary.
Good video, nice to see you out and about touring the country side. Most times a view off the beaten path that most of us never see. Keep those covered bridges coming 👍
Are you guys getting any of the record heat we've been hit with on the east coast of the states? Makes it rough to ride in gear out here. It looks cooler where you are!
This was last week, so the full heat wasn't around yet. Yesterday we had over 30 degrees (about 90f), and it's supposed to stay that way for most of this week. I was riding yesterday morning before it got too bad. Luckily I can also stay along the coast if I need to be a little cooler
Awesome! I only got my license a couple of months ago on a Vanvan, so I appreciated being able to buy a very similar bike. You're going to have an awesome time!
The rack is a universal fit, although it also comes in a few layouts www.trekbikes.com/ca/en_CA/equipment/cycling-accessories/bike-racks/bontrager-backrack-mik/p/27231/
This is one of the best Ruckus videos. Facts are given to the point of being easily understood. I’m looking for to getting a Ruckus. I am selling my 2018 Yamaha 49 BWs with only 12,000 k. My 2006 Piaggio Beverly touring scooter has 30,000 kilometres. I bought the Yamaha new. The Piaggio had 800 K when I bought in 2018. I said all of this just to say that your video has convinced me to a get Ruckus. I’m 75. I believe that the slower you go the further you will get. Russian Proverb.
Thank you for the kind compliment! Ive been curious about what a BWS would be like since there seems to be a lot of them around. I don't think the BWS would be quite as suitable for the silly places I end up
Good video 👍 that pathway looks like it could be treacherous if the weather was raining. Good place to sprain an ankle or land on your head 🤕. Always good to see your motorcycle when you get back to the parking lot 👍
Thank you for your review but most important, thank you for taking us for a beautiful ride. The scenery is breath taking. Visiting Canada is a life's goal for me, only thing missing is money 😄
Thank you! Here in New Brunswick is among the less commonly known parts of Canada, but having driven coast to coast I can say that there's plenty of beauty all over the place
Did not know that there was that many covered bridges. You should include Covered Bridge Potato chips in your tours and see how they are doing since there fire. And I think that there is a covered bridge close by the potato chip factory. Good video Aaron 👍
Brother, if I told my wife I'd be out for 2 hours and it then turns into 8 hours, I'd be better off if I just keep riding. Thanks for the tour, and best of luck in getting Sussex to comply with your intersection demands.
This is far from the first time I've declared something will be brief, only to be sidetracked for many hours. Whether its home repair, outings, or waiting to make dinner, my time estimations range wildly in the accuracy.
