i'm finding it hard to accept that air king is the only maker of whole house window fans. no market for these? i find that hard to accept. if i'm wrong and there are others , please let me know. thanks
I'm about ready to take a chance on a "shutter" style fan but they'd be a bitch for me to install 0 in a window. and i'd still be left wondering if those are any better that an air king 9100F...and i'm not finding those today either. went to air king site and clicked 'buying options'..not at home depot, lowes or amazon
I'm not finding the Lasko Air King 9166D for sale. can't find on by searching Lasko 9166D. All discontinued i guess - based on you finding one on facebook. Did find a Lasko W16900 but it's only a 16" sold by only one amazon seller. This shopping for a whole house fan that's worth it's salt i getting very tiresome!
I've realised that even the smallest noise at night can make you stop dreaming or wake up, cuz everything is quiet. But with the simple noise that is being repeated for hours, you totally exclude everything around you from your senses and simply focus on resting. Me and my sister I falling asleep on the heater or the hair dryer since we were 8, and now I am 21 and she is 14. This videos saved my health, because whatever the machine for heating, it dries the air and when overused for couple a days in a row, you will have a sore throat. Love this videos, without overreacting I can say that in some way, they changed my life ! SHARE THE NOISE !
Reminds me of an old fan we used to have. 4 steel blades and they were around 2,5mm thick. Took that sucer a minute to get to speed, and you could bearly hear anything else in the room. But boy it sure blew some air.
@@diyintrovert961 i get what he says because well.... we are just seing a fan spin.. for half the video for each of 2 blades... whats this info supposed to be?
@@TheBoringCreatr then what I said to him applies to you too because there are other RU-vidrs besides me doing fan videos, so if you don't like my fan videos, you don't like theirs either. Nevertheless, your opinion will not stop me from doing fan videos, so I suggest you both go find yourselves a hobby because when I'm working on my fan projects you & your opinions won't even matter.
man thats neat. i got a vintage patton air circulator that someone threw away and i grabbed it and restored it. use it ever year on my screen door pulling in the fresh air for the night. works like a charm
I really don't get the point in putting a thermostat on a fan (not a heater or an AC unit, but a regular fan) since it doesn't really seem to do anything except cut/deprive the fan of power when the thermostat is set below a certain point like it does with modern fan-forced heaters.
@@kevinking2134 Just like it would if it's set below a certain point with both this fan and fan-forced heaters like I previously mentioned. Glad to finally solve the mystery of its presence on a regular fan and find out it's not actually pointless 😮
I like these Reversibles, because the blades are symmetrical. They can spin clockwise and counterclockwise, and they'll look the same either way, they won't look weird, and you can't tell the difference between the two the way they are made.
Is there a grille on the back of that thing? There should be. Why not put the fan in an actual window to see it working in its proper environment? It would be easier to film.
Dude, I like how you showed the low, medium, and high speeds of the fan both in regular fan mode and in exhaust mode. It would have been better if you put this in an actual window to test it out. It is a window fan, after all. This way you wouldn't have to worry about holding it to keep it from rattling while it's in operation. How come there is no grill on the back? A bird might crash into it and get hurt or killed by the blades and damage the fan while it's on.
@@diyintrovert961 Couldn't you install a back grille? It just doesn't look right without it. What was Belco thinking? Good thing today's fans aren't like that.
Did you test it with the thermostat? Also, did you figure out a year on this? I have one and just pulled it out of the barn. Still in working condition.
