Perpetual Radio Networks currently produces TestDrive, Canada's newest automotive review show. We focus on older model cars and give you a full tour of the vehicle, take it for a drive, and go over everything you need to know if you're in the market for that car. TestDrive Spotlight focuses on one car, and TestDrive Showdown pits two or more similar cars together in a comparison review. We also produce #EnthusiastStories videos about car enthusiasts that we want to share with the world.
Perpetual Radio originally launched in 2009 as Canada's first podcast network, producing half a dozen podcasts live every week. We worked on video content early on before taking a break after 2012. We relaunched in 2015 with a new focus and vision.
Sell it before it falls apart. I bought a new maverick and let me tell you...lack of quality control...plastic everywhere and scratches way too easily. Paint chips, Lack of insulation, noisy engine.... just to name a few the issues. Long term...i cant see this thing standing the test of time. I sold mine for nearly 30k about a year ago and couldnt be happier.
I have a 2019 300 Limited AWD in Granite Crystal Metallic paint. Black leather seats. Basically the same exact options and configuration as yours in this video except I don’t have a sunroof. It’s a great car and I really like it. But I bought it used of course.
Looking at a 2013, 89k miles, no accidents, dealer maintained, tuneup, trans flush and brake fluid flush all done before 60k. The price is above carfax but it’s a beauty.
I got a Nicely equipped AWD Tremor XLT w/Luxury pack for $36k. No Dealer Mark Ups and the trim pieces are Tremor Orange and not Gold. You people need to get a grip 🤣🤣🤣
I have a screenshot from Ford that breaks down the Tremor pac and several places it only mentions Tremor Orange...Tow Hooks, Grille Fender Badges - Bed Box Decals, seats w/Tremor Orange stitching and Logo accents. I added Aluminum Orange shifter knob, radio knobs, climate knobs and headlight switch knob plus Orange Maverick tailgate letters 😂
Out of every S Class generation the W221 is at the TOP of my list following right behind the W221 is the W222 as my second favorite and choice I HATE the W223 in every way possible to plainly put it it's just ugly especially in the interior the W223 design team FAILED miserably the W223 is a car that I looked at more than a few times and I still can't find anything that I like about it with the W222 and W221 you can clearly see that a lot of attention to detail was a priority when designing the W221 and the W222 all they did was throw a big screen in the W223 with a hideous interior and bland looking exterior the W221 is still my favorite bottom line
That's the problem with the newest generation, the interiors all look the same. A C-Class has the same basic interior, where as my 2013 S-Class and C-Class have completely different interiors, so when I get in either I feel the difference in class.
I can’t get over people saying “Zed” it hurts the soul because “Zee” sounds so much cooler. That’s a nice looking truck man, only thing I don’t like is the shifter not on the wheel like my Silverado. Just feels weird to me to drive any other way I reach and grab nothing and look stupid every time lol.
Hi there! Thank you for the great review! I am currently waiting for my Z71 that I just ordered from GM in the West Island. The demo that I tried had a larger Cluster with the function of switching to the smaller versions on the wt and LT. It should be just the push of a button ;)
Feels like it should, right! Ford's prices across the board seem to be higher than everyone else. While a fully loaded Hyundai Santa Cruz is about $50k, it comes with a lot more equipment for daily use.
These trucks were pitched as a small, affordable little pickup. But thanks to dealerships, they've become too expensive for what they are. I'd rather have a used Tacoma. Better build and better reliability and around the same cost.
Luckily here in Canada dealerships aren't able to mark up new vehicles, but that hasn't stopped the OEM from increasing the MSRPs for vehicles considerably over the past couple years.
The high engine rpm was the first thing I noticed. Cruising at 80 mph I was surprised to see 3200. I thought I was in 4th gear. Other than that I love this car. It’s a fun daily commuter.
Leather is an ecologically sound material. Think about it. Unless everyone goes vegetarian, cow hides will be produced in huge numbers. Is it better to use that material or just throw it away? One day, hopefully, this will no longer be true - we won’t be killing other sentient creatures for food. Until then, leather is a philosophically-defensible resource.
@@PRNTestDrive I see there is a misunderstanding of tone in my previous comment. What I was trying to express is how one of a hand-full of options found in Canada spec can’t be found in US spec, I was not trying to correct you, just expressing my underwhelming sadness of being left out of the enthusiast desired options; Thought the crying face emoji was a hint though.. Mr. Condescending
It’s a Ford, meaning dealer excuses, and cutting corners in engineering. Ford is just good at hiding them, but they are there. I will never buy another Ford. For one, it is a Ford, unreliable, and two, I make too much money to be seen in one.
Glad you think so! We still crack up watching this all these years later. It even shows up as the first result on Google if you search for BMW Check Engine Light.
We ended up doing an SVR a little while after this one, but we agree that it's very useful to consumers to get these other trims. The fleets don't usually spec them this way so we jump on them when we can.
You mention how stifly sprung the stelvio is in dynamic, was that the case if you changed the suspension setting to soft? It makes quite a differemce on my giulia which is why i ask. Thanks.
Our c250 was an absolute nightmare after 2 years. We bought it used and might have been dodgy repairs from previous owner but we cant be certain. I have been so scared to buy another mercedes after that it has totally changed my opinion on the whole brand. Im buying a BMW that i have done tons of research on but still love the look of these and would probably save me tons of money compared to the newer bmw im looking at😭
