This week on TestDrive Nile has the chance to drive the 2024 Genesis G70 2.5T Prestige AWD, with the new-for-2024 2.5L turbo 4 cylinder engine which produces 300 horsepower and 311 lb-ft of torque. We drove the Genesis G70 last a while ago, and in that time this luxury car has gotten a facelift for the interior and exterior. We discuss the specs of this G70 and the key features that come on it, followed by how it stacks up against it's direct competitors, the BMW 3 Series and Mercedes- Benz C-Class.
We then hit the road in the 2024 Genesis G70 to see how this luxury sedan handles itself on the road, and the reasons why you'll want to consider this one. We discuss the engine as it's the big differentiator for 2024, along with the fuel efficiency and overall performance from it.
TestDrive is proudly produced in St Thomas, Ontario, Canada.

@@PRNTestDrive Sorry, should add the 2.5t is a great engine, direct and port injection.

I kinda like the pre facelift model better.

Fair enough! I had to look back as I drove two of them previously. I thought I might have driven the facelift previously but hadn't.

The issue with this car is the identity.. People who want a name will buy a bmw, audi, mercedes, or lexus. Those who don't care about the name will buy a Toyota or Honda. The big issue I have is the drivetrain, I hate these turbo motors, I'd want an N/A I6 or a v8. Otherwise i don't think i'd be in the market for a luxury or premium sports sedan, in any name.

Everything is going turbo/small displacement. It's one of the reasons why I plan on holding onto my 2013 C-Class as long as I can, it's a naturally aspirated V6 and the reliability has been fantastic.
