US houses don't have nogs (horizontal timbers) between the studs (verticals)? Very easy to run wires through an empty space but what hold the wall together??
This is about how you do it. A bit of instruction would be clever, especially cutting above a live switch. Very poor, you could cause fatal trouble for a novice DIYer.
What happened to laying down a protective layer on the hardwood floors (as nails drop down and bounce off hardwood 😮, fail). The area should be taped off with protective materials to protect the clients walls, floors, etc. Easier to clean up the mess and not damage things.
When you run Romex wires inside walls that have a fireplace, even though you stretched it to be 100% safe from it touching the fireplace, don't you need any kind of conduit protection because of the excess heat?
@@miguelramirez8189 and the Poe switch is connected to what ? I’m basically asking if theirs any equipment that it’s plugged into that would only be able to transfer max 100 mbps . Unlikely, but check all the equipment you are using. It could also be that you have wiring issues(wires or wires connections) , or settings on the router that’s limiting bandwith.
As an electrician who also owns a tv mounting company, this is highly illegal. You need to run that one connect cable through a conduit especially if you’re mounting a tv over the fireplace.
Nice. We mounted our tv to the wooden post instead. The ZeboZAP comes with straps and full motion arm that allows you to swivel the sunbrite tv to any angle. 🎉
Don't bother with these splay type plugs, get the banana plugs with two flathead set screws that press down and create pressure, rather than screwing over and damaging the copper.
Well done video on the pre-wiring. One thing I've done in my set-up is to run 2" drain pipes from the projector to the control room, and from the control room to the front wall. Consequently, if some fancy system comes along down-stream, I can easily pass wiring down the pipes.
wow 4 years ago and still being watched. probably will be more as prices of those mantle mount pull downs come down. Aways great videos and than you for that. All the mm700 videos are in studs. haven't seen a mm700 over a solid brick fireplace video. My question for a solid wood burning fire place is, "in your opinion" not a binding contract and you are not liable for my work...etc a. is it ok to mount it directly to the brick wood burning fireplace?, screwed to actual brick of course not motor. BTW this is real hard fired brick, not Crick b. should i use tapcons into the brick or concrete anchors?
If I have my power outlet right in the center above the chimney, do you think I can install the wall bracket a little uncentered and then correct that sliding sideway the TV? Would the whole structure support this unbalanced set up? Thanks!
I've watched a few video's. Most seem to be on the easiest part of the installation. Running through a hard ceiling perpendicular to the joists is much more helpful. But haven't seen any videos like that.
I just got a Yamaha rx-v383 and Klipsch Reference 5.1 surround. The front right and left speakers work. But the center, left surround and right surround doesn't work. Is there a way to turn those 3 channels on and off?
Hello I have speakers from the "Elite" DVD player. The player is broken, but I have speakers that I want to use. It is impossible to find the same used DVD player and I don't know how to use the speakers. Is it profitable to buy an amplifier and connect the speakers that way? The speakers are not of any quality, but they are 170w and have excellent bass. I don't know if it is more worthwhile to buy some used 5.1 systems or to personalize these somehow?
These light bulbs are just shit. I've tried over 20 times trying to initialize and set up these light bulbs. All I got was more aggregated wasting even more of my time trying to get these trash ass bulbs setup. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS TRASH
