Because you can’t side sleep for a while. Meaning if you got both there’s a higher chance of you are sleeping on the piercing and waking up with a lot of pain
Thanks for sharing your experience. I'm thinking of getting a regular third set in my lobes and one in my helix, but I have the same concern you did about maybe being allergic to titanium. I'm allergic to silver and other allegedly hypoallergenic stuff, so I'm seeing if they have an option for a gold piercing, because I'm just seeing titanium advertised on this particular place's site and I don't want to risk a reaction at the piercing stage :\
Getting my helix pierced tomorrow. I want a hoop and a stud. I thought about the stud in my left ear and the hoop in my right. Aside from not being able to sleep on ethier side, how stupid would it look to have both ears done?? I don’t want to look dumb I know most people just do one but I was wanting two so how bad would that look should I do it
I'm allergic to most metals used in earrings as well and when I we t to get my nose pierced they recommend I get titanium steel so I did and it is wonderful! My piercings usually take quite a while to heal but my nose healed up nicely without any keloids or infections. If you ever get another piercing I definitely suggest getting the titanium steel one 😊
Vanessa Garcia 100% should always choose the needle method, there are lots of reasons as to why it's better but the main two are the gun can't be sterilized properly, making the chance of infection a lot higher - whereas the needle can, and, the gun can indeed shatter the cartilage, making it permanently sore and painful to the touch. Once shattered, the damage can't be fixed so always always choose to use a needle
Vanessa Garcia I agree with the comment above absolutely, also a gun is just forcefully punching an earing through the ear and causes micro tears in the cartilage. the needle is better and less painful I have two of these done both with needles.
thanks for the answer. im so older than you i think if i got ,mine would get better in one year :D but i want to get so badly :) yours looks beautiful <3
I got 3 ear piercing on my earlobes, 6 in total. But i'm really scared to get my helix done. I've been wanting it for months now. But i don't know if i can take the pain.
KpopLittleGurl The pain honestly wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Don't let what other people say scare you because I have a low pain tolerance and I didn't think it was that bad :)
Reg Espina the outside of your ear is all made out of cartilage or soft tissue, The cartilage is just harder but it is not bone - feel your helix and you will know what I'm referring to :)
Hello c: I just got a helix/cartilage piercing a week ago and I found that if you really want to sleep on the side you got your ear pierced on, try sleeping with a neck pillow and kind of put your ear through the hole while resting your head on the actual pillow c:
I've had both methods and the needle me This got my piercing infected and it really hurt 😞and when I got it done with the gun it didn't hurt at all and I've had it in now for 6 months
this vlog is so cool! I'm going to take a helix piercing tomorrow! But, I'm stressed for the pain :( ... Any Tips? xxx (sorry for my bad english I am from belgium)
I heard some people would take a pain killer to help with the pain a bit but the lady at the place told me it wouldn't do much. Honestly the pain for me wasnt that bad for me. Good luck tomorrow! <3
Hey! I am soon happy I did it, it didn't hurt at all! Maybe a little bit in the beginning but it was done after that, I am so happy right now! :D thanks x <3
