This channel is dedicated to shaving products. Anything from Soap, Razors and bowls. I love safety razor shaving and I want to show people it's possible and easier than using a 5 blade setup. I hope you enjoy my videos and find them useful!
Blade alignment can be affected by how the blade is installed. Installing the blade with the razor handle parallel to the ground will cause the blade to seat off center. When installing the blade, place the receiver plate face up on a level surface when seating the blade, install the open comb plate, then keep the razor perpendicular to the ground when tightening the handle. Note that overtightening can cause excessive torque on the razor assembly and cause the blade to shift position as well. It's not necessary to tighten the hell out of your razor handle. Light pressure seats the blade, and the head will not loosen or come off and sever an artery while you're shaving.
I have NEVER had to align a blade in any of my razors. I have a 23c (just a longer handle than the 15c, otherwise the same) and it has no issues. It is VERY mild, though👍
my Simpson T3 Trafalgar is the best brush on the market today it's like buying a $200 badger hair brush, no cleaning the brush, no need for a brush stand, fast drying time, well not fall apart like a badger hair can, cheap to buy, i have owned it for 5 years with know problems wheelchair Larry
I only started shaving with safety razors in April with my fathers old 1950's ballend razor and actually shaved a beard off with it. I got the 45R in late June and started shaving with it in early July and it is a good bit more aggressive than the old razor but I loved it from day one no irritation and great shave no Nick's, I'm going to keep it as a luxury razor for December and new year because it looks too good to be an everyday razor.
I really enjoyed buying the shave cream 2 years ago. But finding it without a high priced shipping or product delays (2-4 months) really bums out the experience.
Just got this brush to replace my Rocky Mountain Badger brush. This parker Badger brush is ten times better. It develops lather faster, holds more water and just overall is more pleasant to use. The most important thing is this brush doesn't always loose hair like the Rocky Mountain Badger brush did. Just for the hell of it I ordered the Parker Synthetic brush to see how that one works. I also have a boar brush to which feels nice on the skin but it's a soap and water hog. Boar brushes just don't work as well as Badger brushes.
I agree with you about it not being very aggressive, I also have a Van Der Hagen(Weishi 9306) and it is more aggressive. The Merkur 15c is the only razor I have ever used that never gave me a single nick or cut.
It was also my first badger brush and i still have till this day. Parker is a great name brand but i think its underrated, i also have a couple of there DE razors as well.
Arko is the best shaving cream I have ever tested. I have 34 types of creams. You need to use a bowl and give it time then put it on. I can see that your lather is not giving you full protection as you need to work on it.
That looks a lot like the cheap Feather razor available here in Japan for about $9.00. But the Feather has a plastic base in the head. And seems to be very mild. I have a real problem getting close under my jaw line.
Im thinking about buying the rosewood version, but i bought the "Art of manliness" version a little over a year ago and that blade was way smaller than that one. How do i prevent to get the smaller version because they said that also was 6/8" but it looked like 4/8". I want that big blade you got there
I started with a Merkur 38c, very smooth efficient razor but not perfect. I bought a 25c (long handled 15c) for closer shaves, but the 25c ended up being much milder and less effective than the 38c. I put it away after a week because it was barely cutting compared to my other razors: Merkur 38c, PAA Dual Open Comb, Parker 26.
One of the best soap for many reasons...slip,protection, and easy load. I used for many years this soap (cream..) and i recommend all the way....In canada is $18 Canadian...cheap price if you consider others quality cream at $25 and more.
