How long did this show run? According to IMDb, there were only four episodes, with the last one airing in September 1973, but your clips are from 1974.
... I think this may include the only complete version of the Mission Magic theme song. (In the actual show opening, the song fades out in the middle of the last chorus) Edit: I'm wrong, there was an *album* made from the show's songs, and there's a full version there.
I have Covid for the first time, so I'm watching The Love Boat to pass the days. Avery was in the hurricane episode, and I knew him but couldn't remember exactly in what. My hubby immediately said, "He's the Doritos guy and a great comedian." I appreciate the commercial being posted. It made me smile. (And yes, he got the girl at the end of the show!)
Avery Shreiber was a great comedian and character actor. He was fantastic on "my mother the car" as Captain Manzini, his Doritos commercials were memorable and entertaining and his appearances on "Chico and the Man" always made me smile. Very funny man and he seems like he was a kind man in real life.
One of the flavors is Taco Flavor, which they bring back on occasion, each spring-to-summer season. The other flavor is Toasted Corn Tortilla flavor. That might as well be called "Plain."
Avery Schieber was such a talented and funny guy. Who can forget him as Captain Manzini in "My Mother The Car",or as part of the comedy team "Burns and Schreiber" with Jack Burns. He was Miklos the Gypsy in "Chico and the Man" and was in countless shows such as "The Rockford Files". He always made you smile and was entertaining. This was back in a time when he had character actors and comedians that had unique personalities.
I remember watching Avery doing these commercials in the 70s. No one can compare to him nowdays. And no one else could have done as good of job as he did.
Why is there no sound here--either in the introduction or in the story itself? I remember the opening with the horse-drawn cart and the players. The theme song was a version of "Sing This All Together". This version comes close to the way the song was sung. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-tBGJgud_MwU.html
