I am a kid that always saves money to buy modular buildings, because I think it is fun. I have thinked off getting a knock-off so I can have more for display, but I am kinda scared about it, bcs they are stealing builds in my opinion. Do you think it is Stealing?
In a legal sense, I’m not sure probably. But Lego don’t sell the old Modular’s anymore. They won’t make money from a resale or an alternate so for this reason I think it’s okay. Thanks for the comment and have a great day.
I have bought some AliExpress sets, but I’m not happy with them. My hands hurt after a few bricks because the edges and studs are to sharp. Rather build an official Lego set, where I can build it for a few hours straight without my hands getting hurt
That’s fair enough! I haven’t found that problem but it definitely can be with what set you get. Mine are pretty much identical to Lego brand but I know some can be dodgy. Sorry to hear you’ve had a bad experience but love that you’re still building anyway!!
Another great build. Nice little display piece. I’m currently working on The Monkie Kid, Legendary Flower Fruit Market which I got for a heck of a deal. Keep on building brother!
Wow that looks like a great set. Happy with some of the smaller builds I’ve experimented with recently. I had kind of given them up but stumbled upon them when I needed content. Hope your build looks great!!
I adore these Temu Loz sets. Every one I have made I enjoyed (I haven't made that one ...yet!) But I did a similar one that was a restaurant with an octopus on the roof. I love the details. They do take some time but so worth it!
I buy a lot of the small Loz minis on Temu (I tend not to build franchises.) The minis have all been great. I have made about 15 now, smal shops, food carts, restaurants, and the finished size is good to display in small spaces. The quality has always been good and no missing pieces thus far. And the price is always great. It's a great way to build if you only have a small work area.
We know it's not Lego as it's in a minature scale which they dont do. I have bought various minature builds over the years & were usually happy with them even if difficult to build with adult figures . Worthing a try as they are usually very cheap. on Alli express & other sellers. Good review keep up the good work.
Yeah, good to hear you’ve had good experiences too. The price is definitely a great argument for me as well as they are easy to display as they don’t take up much space. Appreciate the comment! Have a great day!!
Appreciate that man, coming round more to mini sets recently. Some friends and family have caught on to the channel and they’re good gifts since they are so cheap and nice display pieces. Have a great day!!
@@BallisticBricks42 This is the thing. Quite well priced and some have super detail. The ones I got for my nephew were themed and came in sets of four, that can link together. Oe set was Minions and other Mario and so on. He also got a set of about 8 that were different shops and fast food joints. I think the best I have seen are some of the Mini Japanese and Chinese shops sets and yes, the LOZ examples. Have a great weekend.
i feel like mini bricks would make a nice cheap gift to a coworker or a friend, and I would be happy to build one if I was gifted one, but not something I would go out and buy for myself
Great video. Had to have emergency surgery, so im laid up and figured I'd work on a temu set. 😂😂😂yeah, between the tiny instructions and pain meds that's not happen. I'm about to give up on these sets and mail them to you. Po box ahem.
That’s awful, really hope you’re okay and have a good recovery. The instructions are a sucker. Got in touch!! Happy to give addresses privately! Keep me updated on your recovery!
Definitely a step up from last week. I picked up a couple scooby doo sets from Ali express. I will let you know how that build is. Keep on making the videos, good stuff.
Nice video! Probably the previous reviewed set were diamond bricks and not mini bricks and that could very well explain your dissatisfaction as these are indeed even smaller. The Loz sets are in general very good and can be built without being a watch maker 😂. You should perhaps also try a larger one like especially the very good looking Loz tree house, which is really great (apart from the wrong positioning of the watermill). If you want to stick with the smaller ones the Loz subway is also very nice.
I finally started a channel. Uploaded my intro video. Working on my 2nd video which is a review of Ali Express Downtown Diner. Thanks for giving me tips and confidence to start my own channel 😊
That’s great to hear, happy I was able to do that!! If you ever need anything be sure to message me on Instagram on the same name and I can give any advice :)
come on people like and subscribe to support this channel and so he can keep doing these reviews, I find this really useful and helpful to be informed about alternatives to the mega over priced lego sets, dont get me wrong... for those who have the money keep supporting the brand, but for those with a lower budget please don't hold it against us for choosing to buy knock off brand copies. Especially retired lego sets that cost several hundred to thousands these days... its insane.
Really appreciate this!! The channel is definitely slowing down since I’ve ran out of funds for the videos. The numbers on the channel are unfortunately reflecting that with things massively slowing down. Thanks for the comment, have a good day!
@@BallisticBricks42 dont be discouraged and keep going, you will probably go though a few more up and downs until you get to a stable level. Just keep posting, drop by drop your channel will grow, Im sure there have to be more people interested, you just dont have the required visibility yet, competing with those channels with 100's K subscribers. dont give up, you have a niche here.
coming payday im going to order my first modular from aliexpress, any suggestion which one i should get first? im in ireland, paying in euros, most sets are around 70 to 80 Euros, some are 100+ i kinda need to start low profile
It does look good. shame it is not stable. I use mini brick spares as rubble or rubbish in my MOCs. Perhaps the build experience was not the best because you are not feeling great at the moment. Get well soon buddy.
Yeah I was thinking about maybe having a dump or something like that where I could pour pieces into. Would make for a cool effect. Thanks for watching and the kind message!!
@@BallisticBricks42 All good. Love what you are doing with this channel. Hope you are feeling better. I find the mini bricks useful for rubble and when trying to achieve perspective in stop motion, it can be useful in the background.
I’ve nearly been caught out when getting enthusiastic by some stunning sets on both Temu and AliExpress only to realise they were miniblocks. With my sausage fingers they’re a no- go! I like the look of this but, it’s not for me! Hope you’re feeling better?
Yeah I’ve seen a lot. I’ve noticed there’s a lot of real life mini sets like the Empire State Building which would be amazing for the city, but unfortunately it’s mini and I only notice it upon further inspection. The building process puts me off massively, but once it’s finished it does look nice. Currently still on the mend. Not feeling great again, but slowly recovering. Thanks for the kind message!!
Next to a large number of normal sized sets I have built several mini bricks sets, especially from Zhegao and Loz. In my opinion these are in general very good. I had few problems with them and they can be as detailed as the large sets, including a complete interior etc. And of course they all have one huge benefit: they need much less space when finished.
Most companies have very similar names, I have another video describing how to find a good seller, but look at the reviews to see if it’s worth it. If you have troubles, I’ll help out more
I have just bought this set on ebay. I don’t know if I have a good deal or not. I knew before purchase that some pieces were missing such as the car and maybe some other minor pieces, but I felt that £57 inclusive of postage was a reasonable deal. My ultimate intention is to use this to create another floor or two over the underground station which I completed last week. First I will do the cinema build. It arrived just broken down into its main modules so the first task is to fully disassemble before building.
Wow that is a very good price for the real deal, I’m really interesting in adding some extra floors onto some of my Modular’s as I love the size it would add to my city!
@BallisticBricks42 Thanks so much. Think I've find it now. I'll be ordering soon. Wanted to make a Lego City but been getting jealous of certain YT lego city's. However; seeing yours has inspired me to do my own version and not worry about everyone else's! Thanks so much!
Some of these small building sets are really clever and quite attractive. Indeed. When covid started, in order to help keep my then ten year old nephew occupied, we helped him set up a lego town. He liked some of these, so they became the basis of his town. Some we modified and made more usable. From memory, all of his used normal size bricks. They are great fun.
@@BallisticBricks42 I hope you have a better experience. The small sets are pretty basic and so they don't offer a serious challenge. But some are quite clever and even attractive builds.
Honestly I don’t think enough people would be interested! I really appreciate the support. I could discuss PO Boxes privately at the moment as I have nothing official but ways around it. Thanks for the support!!
This is a great overall review of the set I was looking for a fake mini modular review to see if they were good to use for a city and I can say this video helped a lot in my decision
