Unitl you solve the road plate problem, how about using a roll of black craft paper as a base? You could even line-out the road markings with tipp-ex... sounds daft, but it might help you show roads until you've got the lego road plates installed.

I went for a dark table early in case I ever had this problem, but I like what you mean. It’s a very interesting idea. I’m currently away but when I get back I think I may give this a go. Thank you for watching and commenting, have a really good day :)!!

Yes! Assembly square, daily bugle and sanctum all real, but everything else is alternate bricks!!

It’s coming along great. Are you just going to keep it in the city theme or going to branch out. I love the new Barad-dur set from lotr license. It will go along great with my Rivendell. Do you have a place where we can send you stuff to help with your city?

Eventually I’d like to branch out with a woods section for more miscellaneous sets. I also LOVE both LOTR sets and really want to get them. For a while I wanted it just to be a city but then I thought wait I can do whatever I want! So that’s what I’m going to do. You need to convert your Modular’s on to mills plate. It’s easier to do it sooner than later.

You can build mils plates and sit the buildings on them

Ones ordered in through IKEA, I’m not sure on the exact make but will definitely find out and put it in a video!

Have you ever thought of putting them on MILS plates - would stop the bases looking warped up.

No views? You have one now. I've met with the same problem with bases. Corner curling and thickness issues. I use the base plate just for playing with the grandies. My grandson is only five but he can tell when something is not a real Lego piece. They feel different and he won't play with them, even the ones that are produced under license, so I won't be buying them for him agian. Looking forward to seeing how your city progresses.
