The opponent jamming Darkhawk in a Cerebro 3 deck is absolutely disgusting lol. The Arishem meta has truly brought out some card gamers' worst impulses.
Ya it's sort of a classic Magic deck, known for being basically a pile of efficient stats, value, and card advantage combined with a lot of good cheap interaction to grind your opponents out. "Jund" was originally magic slang for the colour combination of Red/Green/Black, but it became synonymous with a deck archetype because those colours' respective strengths really lend themselves to that sort of gameplan when combined. I'm not sure I quite agree that this Marvel Snap deck fits the profile, but Snap doesn't really have an equivalent to Magic's card advantage and removal so maybe it is the closest thing. It certainly does have efficient stats and lots of interaction.
Funny you say that, a year ago or so, this was the best (hence the nerfs to miles & stature they only recently reverted) & also most expensive deck in the game...
Came back to this deck after awhile and added gwenpool and grandmaster too supercharge the hand buffs! Hit infinite day 2 with it, thanks for the inspiration!
I'm running Sword Master in place of Makkari in the version with Brood and Forge. I still have to play him, but 7 power is nothing to sneeze at, and it's an additional way to discard to help get Strong Guy to his lower hand size requirement. Goes to 9 with one Surfer proc, potentially higher if Gwenpool hits him. He definitely doesn't do what Makkari does, but this version of the deck has gotten me to the 90s in two days.
I've been thinking of getting the pass, but I don't have Shaw yet. I've saved up 6k tokens that I would ne able to spend on him, but I don't know if it's worth getting him over Gilgamesh, Blink, Sersi, Red Guardian or Sage. I know I'll get the other missing cards from future spotlights. So is it worth getting Shaw over these other cards?
Thank you so much for your knowledge and showing how you play bounce decks effectively. As someone without Sasquatch or Sage, is one more preferable over the other in bounce? Or are they practically interchangeable?
I’m stuck deciding to search/save for Makkari or Mockingbird. I’m a big surfer player but Mockingbitd has felt so omnipresent that it feels should be the card. Any thoughts?
I'm probably not the one you asked for tips from, but it's worth noting that there are successful Surfer builds that run Mockingbird so she might be scratching both itches so to say.
@@nathantargaryenlauw7216 naw, opponent just lost a 50-50. Either Zola wins mid (surfer was pulled by Doc Ock making mid buffs unlikely) and leaves Hulk, Infinaut, and Val in one side lane. It’s just a 50-50 guess whether playing for left or right.
Rookie mistake, Hoogland! You said if we were watching, you won't take legal action if we utilize your NFT. You didn't specify it had to be live. The deck is mine now.
i love when at the start of a video jeff is already pedaling , cuz without the context provided from stream it kind of just looks like he is really vibing with his plays
I've been away from Snap for a while and decided to give it another try at Arishem week, I had a fair amount of keys and got him on the second chest (first was Cersei even though I didn't had any of the other two). He feels fun and a good card for those with a small collection, but I feel I have no chance in mirror's when the opponent has Loki. It seems almost mandatory to be oppressive with Arishem.
You should check out the good stuff Arishem builds I favor. Loki is embarrassing against them because you aren't playing cards that beat you like Darkhawk / Blob. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-J11HhKNWILg.html
That first game could have gone south if the Arishem player Zola in Kamar-Taj to shift both Valentina and Infininaut into the other lanes. Edit: He probably took a 50/50 on contesting right or left after seeing the double Gwenpool.
I feel like the people that hate Loki are the sorts of players that play very straightforward, linear decks. Those kinds of decks feel like the sorts of decks that Loki performs well against. The tech cards and being able to quickly get big payoffs on low effort combos is exactly what Loki is good against. Granted, there are other subjective, personal reasons to dislike your typical Loki deck, but the above is the impression I get. Jeff tends to play a lot of decks that require game-long building towards a payoff, which doesn't seem to suit Loki and his board-space hungry nature.
38:35 two Mockingbirds and a Luke Cage alone would not have won. Luke only got the Thunderbolt Tower to a possible 5 and the Mockingbird only got the Elysium to 15, where as Jeff had 12 in the Tower and 18 in Elysium. I don't know what card could have won Elysium through 18 for them, since Sage would only have been at 8.
Thank you for providing so much explanation along with your turn decisions. It really makes such a difference. Especially as you use decks that aren’t always right at the top the generic meta tier lists.
I'm confused. What was the point in sacrificing Wasp in the first game? Is she just a throwaway card? If so what's the point in having her in the deck? Can someone explain.
For the sake of not repeating, here are some posts talking about it: x.com/JeffHoogland/status/1799801406700011953?t=f_BZxJkFJdBZt0Xj_QqGSQ&s=19 x.com/JeffHoogland/status/1800599172036399337?t=FPPNoAcIQvrZnvPf_m7xKQ&s=19
@@JeffHoogland agree streamers shouldn't abuse drop events. But about streamers raiding each other , does that really have anything to do with the colour of their skin? I love to watch EducatedCollins, shout out to him by the way.
Recurring Wasp stinging Negasonic and evading into Quantum Realm was soo thematic + cool interaction of not knowing if the trap had been sprung (kinda like a better "secret" interaction)
Got an infinity border using this deck! Thanks Jeff! Namora is cracked specially when played on curve. Cherry on top if you can follow it up with Absman.
