The reason why I think that labels can be important when it comes to a diagnosis is as evidence for your difficulties and, to some degree, for self-acceptance. And this comes from a guy who was alive for 25 years before he found out he had autism. I remember clearly that when I got my diagnosis, it was probably the first time in my life where things started to make sense to me. XD
People please take care of your body and health in some sort of way or whatever helps, you would be doing a disservice to yourself if you do nothing about it. not for everyone but for some.

Ah, yes, the fun i had with Gastroparesis in the hospital was in the hospital for 10 days because my stomach and other organs decided they didnt want to turn on getting it down was ok but the moment it got to the stomach i just projectile vomitted hurt alot and it was miserable :(

7:30 just a small correction, MRI machines don’t contain moving parts for imaging (except for the cooling pumps and stuff). The loud noise which is produced during imaging is the vibrations caused by the magnetic fields which produce the images (the coils themselves move slightly, and since a pulse is sent many times per second, the knocking turns into a buzzing noise).
It's hard. I was hospitalized for 10 days due to an autoimmune disorder going full rampage, being on the cancer/autoimmune floor I had an elderly women in hospice next to me. She was still 'alive' when I was discharge but I am confident she passed that week as she was very far gone. I could hear her elderly husband arguing with the doctors and nurses constantly and in my situation undergoing intense treatment and actually seeing positive results being made the room was always more light hearted and sometimes we were laughing and joking around. It was a strange time.
They should've offered her Anavar. If she had chemical support in building muscle, she'd have an easier time getting up and walking, and the muscle would help her insulin sensitivity. Anavar is lower risk than gastric bypass surgery, albeit not as low risk as placebo.

Thank goodness you are a thorough doctor and take your patients comfort as a priority. Believe me when I say a great deal of doctors aren't as thorough and in my unfortunate experience have ignored cries of discomfort and even pain. It's a comfort to know there are doctors like you out there.
