My first question is - how does it hold up? Painting on cloth, doesn't the paint crack? How does it look after 6 months and after the top as been up and down a few times?
This was one of my customers at the time but no issues were reported. They also have automotive fabric spray as well lawn furniture spray which is designed to fight off the outdoor seasons. You can find the outdoor pillow spray aerosols at Lowe’s or Home Depot, the fabric spray can be found at your local automotive stores.
@@newtouchauto Thanks for the swift reply. Ohh! I got it - thought it must have been some kind of special paint spray. I have a beige/light brown top starting to look shabby and looking for a way to make it dark brown. I think I'll go with some dye products like I found in another YT from UK.
@@my5cents4u you’re welcome and yes dye products are better as long as they’re for outdoor use as well. The thing about painting something like this top would be not adding gloss, that’s when you’ll experience cracked paint and failure.
Isn't it bad to drill on the front mount skirt? I am a little bit skeptical to put this one on my car thinking I might damage the under panel cover of my car.

Hopefully you're still answering questions seeing this is 4 yrs old. Great informative video! My question is concerning the recessed lettering on the tailgate. Did you also HyperDip those letters? If so, would you be willing to elaborate? Thanks again for the video.
You’re welcome and thanks for watching the video. If it’s the big letter indentation on the tailgate you should order the vinyl decals, there aren’t any separated spaces for the spray to cut. Emblems are attached by double sided tape which creates enough space between the panel and letters. Trust me I wouldn’t waste time masking off the tailgate letters unless it’s emblems, you can find your vehicle decals on eBay, Etsy or Amazon.
OK, I figured this out. My front parking lights were changed to LED and that made the draw too much for the marker lights. I changed it out and these marker lights work great! Just a heads up for anyone whom might be experiencing the same issue. I saw these were tied into the same wiring connection and same fuse box location. SMH. I should have seen this a long time ago..
The price quotes could vary depending on the style of a rim, most will be more difficult to wrap with vinyl. There are other options to wrapping wheels, I have video tutorials on how to spray wrap your wheels from home if you’re interested.
Yes the dents could’ve been easily fixed without using any bondo. I don’t offer dent repair services and the customer didn’t care much to wrapping over it.
I got some on amazon. The link you provided doesn't work anymore. I got the set and plugged them straight into the front marker harnesses and they do not come on. I have a 2008 Hummer H2 Lux. Any thoughts on why? What set did you use?
The front lights may need to be cut from the old harness wires and rewired to the new set. You’ll need to be sure before making any changes but with these set of lights it should be direct plug and play.
tried to wire them directly and no dice. It’s like they need more power for the LED conversion. Put the old lights back. Placed new set on a battery and they light be up. Not sure if the wires are producing enough voltage. Thoughts?
@gngmcwhirk oh okay, well in that case you would have to locate the fuse and change it to a higher voltage. If the fuse is 20 amp you’ll need to replace it with a 30 amp, that should fix the issue.
😆 great thing about RU-vid is that the knowledge party happens every day. You’re welcome and thanks for watching the video, the LEDs will be a nice setup.
