Yeah, I just bought three of them Rod reels. They are smooth and they go along way with very little effort and retrieving like you said is awesome. I like them better than my abu Garcia that I have.
I just received that reel for free on temu. This Sunday I will use it for the first time in a local fishing tournament (yellowtail). Let's see how it works. good video, it served as a reference for me.
@losethealtitude7730 that's gonna be a great combo! If I can ever help with info, tips or in any way just holler! Thanks for watching hope you catch some good ones 👍🏻
@peterivancik1032 I think that was a promotional deal or something, couldn't believe it was that cheap. But it didn't last long and yea Amazon was alway higher on them. Thanks for watching!
@jcmtz0814 thanks so much for subscribing! Really appreciate it. Yes sir when you get your brakes set were you like them you can just leave them there. Once I get mine casting good I just leave em until I change weights or put a big heavy bait on, may tighten it up a little so i dont backlash.. ( i still backlash sometimes lol ) Only thing you'll really need to adjust is the drag when needed. Thanks again hope you enjoy the reel!
@CogglesnatchCrumplehorn I used to get that alot too.. I started using better swivels and it has stopped alot of that. I use the River Cats Tackle 3 ways. They are really great swivels. I'll give ya the link to them... www.rivercatstackle.com/store/product/3-way-luminous-swivels
@MRCristLE-r that would really depend on what fish are you targeting and it what waters. Like are you fishing lakes or rivers with current? That would determine what kind of basic gear I would recommend such as rods and Reels. You may not need big reels with tons of line capacity and drag if you are mostly gonna be catching channel cats and small blues ect.. if you are gonna be in heavy current and there are big blues and flatheads then you will need to get something a little more beefy that can handle those situations. Tell me a little about where and for what you are fishing. That will also determine what kind of terminal tackle you will need too..
I'm 63 and have used this rig most of that time but I cut the sinker line about 8in from the swivel and tie it together with a square knot . Makes breaking the line a sure thing
Yea for sure. If you are on a budget and just need some reels they will get ya out there. It's been a few years since I bought this one. But for the record it's still working fine!
It's always a great day when I get to spend time with Richard. We caught a lot of fish and everyone told us they weren't biting. We will return when the bite is prime. Thank you Richard and Stephanie. You two are an absolute blessing.
