I'm just a regular guy with a great bird dog that loves anything hunting, fishing, and firearms. I wanted to start documenting our adventures to look back on and share with my old hunting buddies that I don't get to hunt with anymore, as well as share my love and knowledge of firearms with the world. I'm no professional editor or videographer, but a guy with a full time job (active duty Army) just trying to enjoy every bit of God's creation and share it with the world.

I just bought my own for my 870 20 gauge pump, do you know if you can mount a feyachi rs30 on the scope mount?

Is that metal/steel. I keep finding plastic and I'm not looking for that. When you said that's for the 20g only because of the mount dose that mean I could still order this for my 12g but just don't install the spacers because the spacers are for the 20g. I keep having problems with my dang dovetail mount and when I install it shoots fine but as soon I use them 3in shell slugs or buck it screwes up and now my screws after I got loc tie to keep the screws Upton to not lossen up they snapped off and got 2 screws stuck on the top thread hole like REALLY.. SO IM LOOKING FOR THIS SINCE ITS MY ONLY OPTION. And I like the way this looks since it seems to me you can see under the mount to use your front sights. So this would be suitable for a scope correct because I'm using my 12g for deer hunting this season at 50 to 75yards then its gonna be used just as a bird/duck and hog type then imma get a rifle for the deer next year use.

Richard Lee's manual does not do their own testing, but rather collects load data from others and then jumbles the data together so that one does not know where the data came from. As Viejo stated no one knows which load data goes with which bullets. Not to mention that they do not carry over some of the data at all, such as case, primer, nor barrel length used either. And again no specific bullet. So why sit there with a Richard Lee manual and do "Trial and ERROR💥" when one can simply get the manuals that the Richard Lee manual got the data from in the first place and know exactly what load is for what bullet, with all the relative information that goes along with them? If one has a Speer bullet then get a Speer manual, Berger manual for Berger bullets, etc.... Also Lyman has done their own testing of all kinds of bullets and does not jumble the information, but keeps each load specific to a bullet, with all relative information as well. And Midway USA did their own load testing for 4 or 5 popular calibers and used a lot of bullets and powder available at the time, with all relative data listed also. They call the manuals Midway USA LoadMap and then gives the caliber specific to that manual. They made them for 38 Special - 357 Magnum; 9mm Luger/Parabellum; 45 Auto; and I believe 454 Casull. Then there are the Powder manufacturers manuals that do it right too, and are a good edition to the mix. For these reasons I recommend the first half of the Richard Lee manual to glean information of the reloading process from, but never their load data! If they would not have jumble different bullet's data together and carried over all relative information it would be a different story. Long Live the other Manuals! Lyman, Speer, Nosler, Sierra, Barnes, Berger, Swift, Norma, VihtaVuori, Hodgdon, etc...

It depends on the bullet profile, weight, and twist of the barrel. Some combinations do better at stabilizing projectiles at different speeds. I have a cast bullet in my .357 that absolutely will not group below 1100 FPS then it tightens to an inch at 25 yards. I also have some 147gn 9mm bullets that I shoot at the minimum charge to cycle the slide in my Glock and they group fantastic.

A 4 notch choke is improved. One notch is full. You can check by putting your pinky finger into an unloaded gun barrel. Full is tight on my finger. Improved is loose. Thanks for testing!

huh? sweet! thanks for the video. I still have the 20 guage 870 my step dad got me years and years ago when I was a kid. its certainly the most versitile firearm I own. its a great for just about everything. I have a fuully rifled barrel with a scope I can throw on it, a turkey choke and some little truglow sights I can throw on it and its base form with a birdshot barrel is great for ducks and geese. This however would probably be far superior when it comes to turkey hunting. not super expensive either!

.560 and .565 are going to be over choked for TSS and will blow out the patterns....try a .575 to .585 and you'll see much better results at 40 yards.

I THINK YOUR STILL USING TOO TIGHT A CHOKE BOSS RECOMMENDS 570 TO 575. MYSELF I AM GOING TO USE A TRULOCK 581 TURKEY CHOKE. 2 OZ IS A LOT OF 9 BB'S TO CONSTRICT BLOWS YOUR PATTERN . THE HOLE LOOKS PRETTY ROUND AND UNIFORM . IF IT WAS WAS YOUR WAD YOU SHOULD HAVE FOUND IT BEHIND YOUR TARGET CLOSE BY.

As a man that’s shot both 7s and 9s for a few years each go with the 7s tss believe me. Shooting a turkey at 63 yrds and chasing a tom on foot for 200 yrs running with a flopping bleeding head with a partially broken neck was not fun! There’s something to be said about a larger diameter pellet just flat out doing more damage! I did get that turkey and yes he was head shot multiple pellets with tss 9 but still alive enough to run away like that. People are getting too hung up on how dense the pattern is on 9 shot and not the whole picture

Great review but you are correct there just isn't the pellets on paper for that 2oz load I cn same shell 2oz load shot out of tri start raptor youth with long beard 568 choke and it was way more dense and alot more pellets maybe alot stuck in the wad to give it the weight to carry it the 40 yards and punch through the paper but Great review thanks

For some reason Brownings,in my experience throw a high pattern; all the time. I had field and target Brownings do the same thing.I think the A5 uses the invector DS choke system, not familiar with these chokes. The 5 I had was from 1955 and had a fixed choke barrel. I would try a different choke like Truchokes, Briley or Carlson and see where you pattern is then.
