Brother would you help me out with a doubt? I recently purchased a Lenovo LOQ, i5 12450hx + RTX 4050 model. On playing games (in balanced mode) i noticed that the gpu wattage always stayed around 60W (55-65). When i switched over to performance mode it started using upto 70W. In the Lenovo website the TGP of this laptop is mentioned as 95W. But my laptop never managed to reach that power limit yet. Do you know what is the reason for this and how I can correct it?
It's because the games you are playing don't need 95W. You can probably get that power if you are playing at 1440p or you are running some GPU benchmark like 3D Mark Time Spy. You can also try Custom Mode (set GPU TGP to max) or Extreme mode (it's a checkbox when you select custom mode).
@@DeepteshLovesTECH In your opinion is balanced mode enough for medium settings gaming in most scenarios? Or is custom/performance mode a better option?
@@DeepteshLovesTECH I'll be using it connected to a monitor. What about performance comparison between ally and a laptop with i5 12450 + 2050 (45w). Talking about the MSI Thin 15 model.
bhai i bought this same laptop the main problem is as i am using brave or chrome and watching any video in youtube the screen blinks after sometime like suppose i maximized the video so it will blink for a millisecond and then it will again blink and will continue to do that and it only happens in browser ..this is screen flickering right? help me please what should i do?
Even in the case of regular usage can we always keep the Ecores switched off from Bios & keep that Thunderbolt settings changed or do we have set everything in default for normal usage? It will be a hassle to keep on changing those settings everytime.
@@DeepteshLovesTECH No, what I meant is can I always keep these custom settings rather than reverting back to default for other work like using MS Office, watching movies, surfing net, RU-vid (all thr casual stuff)?
You can simply cap the CPU TDP to any value.. 15W,25W,35W ..anything. Then you can apply undervolting on top of it. Let's say you have a 12450H which doesn't support undervolting and to lower temps you cap it to 35W. This will lead to significant drop in performance in CPU heavy games. Now let's say you have a 12450HX which supports undervolting. Now you can not only cap the TDP to 35W but also apply undervolting on top of it. This will allow you to have very little drop in performance.
I have r7 7435hs rtx 4060 variant. Called premium care, they did some tweaks. But battery drain was not fixed. They just mail you that there is no problem with your machine its working according to its design. Tried calling them two times after this.. no solutions provided. There is 11% of battery drain in 30 mins of rdr2 gameplay. So people who are buying this laptop in the hope of getting a 230w adapter please domt buy it. They stopped providing it. They even tell me if you want battery while gaming go buy a 230w.
Possible. You are supposed to crash at one point, that's when you realize. Up the undervolt offset a bit more from current value and test again. You may have undervolted too much.
Have you tried using sd card with it...everyone is complaining of sd card being burned by this device when it heats up....could you please help me with this query as I am planning to buy one...
It's a common problem with 1st gen ROG Ally all over the world. I knew it before buying. Never used SD card till now. I would recommend to buy something like this amzn.to/48jwj4J and simply use full sized SSD for cheap fast storage. It's a game changer!
I am using lenovo amd loq with rtx 4060 there is battery issue. I contacted support its a feature and said 15% drain is normal because they use some hybrid mode. I know its not a feature but they are not accepting it.
Hey bro i have 2023 version of this laptop and i have primium care and 1 month warranty left, did i also get this 240w charger and did they take back 170w charger
