I bought a 12450h and RTX 4060 and I couldn't be more happier. Got it at a steal deal on flipkart for 66k. It beats my 12700 rtx 3060 desktop in every parameter. People thinking 12450h will bottleneck are so so wrong. In fact there is no difference between this and 13650h with the same rtx 4060 95% of the games
The CPU bottleneck question really irks me so much as this question is so frequent..my God! And some guys are so misguided that they think going for a faster CPU and a slower GPU will be better. Seeing dumb comments like this baffles me! These guys are digging their own grave!!!

My purpose is to get a gaming laptop that provides balanced performance and great thermals, i did some research and learned about acer predator helios neo 16 (i5 13500HX with rtx 4050) which is now listed around 89K on Flipkart, i have saved around 20K from my side for this laptop, should i go for it or wait until diwali? Did you even watch the video ?? If you get a 4060 around that range, do not think twice just go for it. If there's no 4060 at that price then you may go for the 4050 configuration

My laptop configuration was loq i5 13450hx 4060 and 2 days ago i was playing Hogwarts legacy and it died, i called the customer support they said motherboard will be changed, i will just say this to everyone please go for amd variants in loq series as there are no such issues as of now i have seen multiple motherboard dead issues in intel 13th and 14th gen laptops. Bro in loq series there motherboard dead problem in HX series specially if you don't have adp buy it and do your laptop undervolt untill agood bios update is launched by lenovo keep your laptop safe. You can take a 230 Watt charger replacement for battery drain issue.❤
What? I have 2023 edition loq with 12450H and 6gb 3050 but it came with 170 watt power adaptor 😅 and now due to battery drain issue I filed a complaint and got 230 watt adaptor
Ngl the laptop is so good just the processor is a bit weak but it's fine for gaming Although people who wanna do 4k 60 fps edition (multi layer) they can have a bit of issues or a bit of lag gpu helps in rendering other than that it's a good laptop for it's price (I am keeping in mind that they still have motherboard dead issue ) In every "HX" series I was thinking of buying this laptop But thani heard about mother board issue and that was enough to pass on it , thought of buying a better cpu to because i wanted to do some cpu tasks to so i bought the r7 8845hs with 4060 1440p Panel
Bro I have done streams from my i5-8300H and GTX 1050Ti and same on my R5 4600H and GTX 1650. Both systems single PC game streaming with dedicated mirrorless camera footage as well - there hasn't been any issue regarding performance apart from the expected 5% drop in frame rates due to some OBS overhead. I used to stream on this channel back in the day. Let's see with the motherboard.

There's no better laptop than this at 70k currently. Only catch is the motherboard issue but that seems to in 14 and 13 gen only. Issue in a 12 is very rare.

Hey deeptesh, ive been recently getting videos in my recommendation with regards to the new loq 2024 , people are saying they have motherboard issues ( as in dead motherboard ) and severe battery problems. Even when plugged in , its having battery drain . Can u do a long term review later, there's even cases of screen bleeding etc very soon
Screen bleeding = all IPS panels in the world. Battery drain = common "characteristic" with LOQ with 170W adapter as it uses battery power to achieve power targets. Request for 230W adapter. Dead motherboard = Your call whether you still wanna buy.

I was going for the same laptop but as the customization would take time, I went to a lenovo store and asked them about it. They suggested a laptop withe i5 12450H (Instead of the 12450HX here), at a slightly lower cost. Is there a noticeable difference the two CPUs?
The difference between the two is that the 12450HX can be undervolted. If you don't care about undervolting then go ahead, but I don't buy Intel laptops that can't be undervolted. It's important for me.

1. first one was only for i7 12th gen hx and not for i5 12th gen hx series 2. well if u wanna get a 230 adapter then u can request lenovo to give you one inexchange for 170 adapter but u need to show proof that the 170 drains under full heavy load or smth to them

Bro you have no chance of getting and 50 series laptop in near 6 months or so because even if they release after 6 month it will be 5090 or 5080 and the price will be so high you normally can't afford
It will take at least a year for that to happen. Rtx 30 is almost taken out of the supply from online stores. When RTX 40 series came to market. First cheapest 4060 was at 1.15 lakhs and 3060 was 1 lakh. So don't expect the price of 4060 to come to 60k and all 🤡. 73k-77k for 4060 is perfect

I think so , if you want to use it for 4-5 year then go for the premium laptop like hp omen , legion series because their build quality is much better than this series . Yes you will not get the specifications how much this loq and all are providing but the build , and the internal components which are used like motherboard, that are top notch of these premium laptops. And that will sustain more. If you will ask from me then I will suggest you hp omen 16 (wd0880tx) i5 13420 rtx 4050 . In offline you will get in around 87k . Look I hope you get at least the 16GB RAM variant. And regarding performance, you would absolutely get the M2 if : * You are editing Apple prores raw files * You value editing on the go, because the Apple M2 macbook is crazy efficient for editing * You need thin and light with long battery life. You would get the Lenovo 4060 laptop if: * You game. * You are doing more flashy edits with lots of GPU effects. * You want flexibility regarding ram upgrades and more internal storage expansion. Obviously hope you know the differences in usability between Mac and Windows.
Bro I don't know what's wrong with laptop industry like 4060 and 4070 come under 1.5-1.6 lakh and both are kind of same but just to upgrade to 4080 every laptop costs more than 3 lakhs and there is not any option if you want a powerful GPU like even laptops that start from 70k are giving the same gpu as a 1.5lakh laptop yeah it's the 4060 😢

@@fmanichrom867Actually yep 13 and 14th gen are more prone to that, Intel also released a statement asking manufacturers to use Intel's recommended settings to avoid any motherboard damage. So people with 12th gen imho are fine. Who knows, we might also see other laptops facing the same motherboard issue. But yeah people should prefer Ryzen for now.

Bro question is why do you want to use custom mode? I cannot make a single video dedicated to you. If you are a complete beginner, use balanced mode. It's good enough. Slowly slowly you'll build your knowledge and use custom mode or undervolting and stuff.

Yes you can. You can't undervolt any H series CPU since 12th gen. You can only undervolt HX models. Check my channel, I have tutorial for 12450HX.. same process for any HX model.

I'm always on hybrid mode. That's it. If you are in dGPU mode, open nvidia control panel and set advanced optimus to Auto, then apply and then go to Vantage and switch to Hybrid and restart. Try it.
9:45 you said pc building but pc building is different. You are both right and wrong. On a laptop later on you cannot upgrade the cpu but on a desktop you can. Nice informative video btw.
CPUs last much longer than GPU. Your CPU will still do CPU things 10 years from now, whereas the 4060 with 8GB VRAM is already struggling in the latest games. The PC building rules applies here, GPU is the bigger priority even if both CPU and GPU can be upgraded later, so GPU is an even bigger priority in laptops due to lack of upgradibility.

Is the LOQ Gen 9 8845hs rtx 4060 good choice at 88k price? I think thermals would be good because ryzen processors run at lower wattage. Also tell if i am not wrong that mobo wont die in case of ryzen loq. Also will the 8845hs need to be undervolted?

The price is inflated by the ram, Ryzen '9' tax and 2TB SSD.... else this could've been 150-200 usd lower but okay. If you actually paid 1400 usd then it's alright.

Ryzen also benefits from undervolting. Only Ryzen 9 and all HX parts can be undervolted. Undervolting is not compulsory on AMD but for Intel it is imo.

No undervolting doesn't fix battery drain as it uses power from the battery to reach power targets. There is a new BIOS update the claims to fix the drain. I will try that later. I'm out of station now.

I was thinking if I should go for the 3050 6GB variant or the 4050 variant when they get cheaper (sometime around September probably) My budget is capped at 65K-70K, so should I get the 3050 this year or wait for the 4050 to get even cheaper?
