They just made a glorified slot machine, slapped zelda, JRPGs, and anime on it for a quick buck. How's this hard to understand? Why are you guys taking this sorry excuse for a game seriously?
Idk if this bothered anyone else, but when Marinette and Luka dated, it was a genuinely nice and they were great together, but then Marinette breaks up with Luka because she could never be honest about her alter ego with him, and in that episode she comes to the conclusion that she can’t have a boyfriend while she’s fighting Hawk Moth And then a few episodes later she’s back to crushing on Adrien. What the heck. What happened to no dating. Why does the problem stopping you from dating the guy you are actually not a creep about, suddenly disappear when you wanna date Adrien. What.
What they could’ve done with Hawkmoth, his civilian identity and his role as a villain is that they could’ve had the early Akumatisations were him experimenting with his new found powers since he doesn’t fully understand how they work quite yet. As for Gabriel, him being so distant from his son and yet so protective can be easily justified by both the loss of his wife and the fact that he’s constantly researching about the Miraculous and the potential they have to bring his wife back, this would of course be disguised as him being absorbed in his work. They could’ve also had it so that in season 1, Hawkmoth was this shadowy, unknown figure and that in the eyes of our Heroes these villains are coming out of damn near nowhere until one of them puts two and two together and realises the familiar pattern with each villain and upon that reveal we finally get to see Hawkmoth as a cliffhanger. Idk, I just feel like if they were going to stick to one villain for so long, they could’ve drawn things out for longer to maintain intrigue and keep things fresh.
I always wanted to watch this show since I saw a few episodes of it on Disney channel 2 years ago but hearing the bad things that hurts the series makes me hesitate to even watch it… I’m not sure if I even should
Yeah, energybending was an asspull when I first saw it and still is. TLOK fans often bring this up to defend their show, saying "Well, Aang got energybending magically and no one complains about it!" (when EVERYONE has criticized it to hell and back). TBH, I had an idea of adapting the show into a movie trilogy (more as a fun little project for plotting and with better respect to the source material than the 2010 film). Pretty much, I just combined the Lion Turtle with Guru Pathik into one character. Pathik would reappear as a spirit to Aang throughout the second "movie" to help him access and manipulate his chakras, the former eventually reappearing in the third "movie" and revealing himself as the Lion Turtle. Energybending would be repurposed into manipulating other people's chakras, using an existing principle instead of pulling one out of thin air (which I believe others have gone over extensively).
you know, I always found the 3d animation of the show super uncanny- some of the expressions the characters make look like they are supposed to be on a 2d animated character, like in an anime, you know, extreme exageration of features and stuff- but in that stiff and plastic looking 3d style it just ends up making the characters look uncanny-
@@greenlineessays yea, i don't think all 3D animation has this problem. It's just that it is exceptionally jarring in Miraculous imo. They really should have made the show 2D if they wanted all those super exaggerated expressions and movements... a shame they didn't.
I don’t know if any you guys remember but I was so disappointed that they didn’t go with the “Focalors killed the OG Archon” (It was a highly popular theory) it could have been made into such a great plot line - Why did Focalors kill the OG Hydro Archon, and what were her reasons. - Is this truly justice ?? Also a lot of people thought that Focalors was the most loyal to (She’s the God of Justice after all ) Celestia, again could have been a great story line - Is she trying to cover smth. up by judging the other Archons - etc. So far every Archon has been a “version of the previous one” - Ei & Makoto - Nahida & Rukkhadevata - Focalors & Egeria (all those she’s a familiar) It all feels repetitive and can we talk about how almost ALL of the Archons are females ??? It could have been cool of the Dendro Archon was a male (Atleast they made Xbalanque a male ) But NO , they made all of them women in order for more money
Tbh Fontaine could have involved a Character being murdered (Furina maybe ) since well NPCs have literally no impact in the story but a character dying HAS IMPACT , Genshin is reluctant to kill of a character for the sake of Money and basically almost all of the Character Story Quest being a “date”
That would have been so freaking cool!!! "can we talk about how almost ALL of the Archons are females???" I like to think that Neuvillette is the hydro archon. He's obviously not, he's the dragon sovereign. But I like to think that he fills the role of archon for Fontaine. You know, just to fill out the roster.
@@greenlineessays Right ? And that explains why all of the “older” Oceanids don’t like Focalors ( I don’t think they covered that in the AQ or WQ ) But Neuvilette does fit the role of an “Archon” :) Really hope the Tsaristsa is the lover of the previous Cryo Archon
I’ve watched it ever since it first came out and it’s been a huge part of my life even tho it’s a show for some reason the same goes for South Park IDK I GUESS I JUST HOLD A LOT OF SENTIMENTAL FEELINGS ABOUT TVSHOWS
It's definitely a fun little excursion that's significantly better than the series. That being said it still has its flaws. I would recommend if you like the show though.
I always thought it was ok. It had some fun elements, the cast was amusing (though for the life of me I can’t remember ever seeing Salty)🤨 and it gave us Code Lyoko. (I want to add Totally Spies but I had first seen that back when it debuted on Fox Family channel) It was the scaled down weekday block to Toonami’s Saturday block, much like Kids WB and Fox Kids had done also. And being a kid or teen there wasn’t much we could do about it. But it least was a fun time and people remember it. I don’t think anyone remembers Master Control.
Dont watch this video, watch miraculous. Characters will be fixed in next seasons. If they finish all story by using just 2-3 seasons, it would be nonsense. Enjoy
Genshin needs to implement real skip button like wuwa.. but ironically wuwa took animation to the next level, but not so far in the story point of view
The thing that pissed me off the most was the fact that during the “Bedtime Story” quest we finally meet our sibling in, if I remember correctly, Caribert’s memory. Then after we’re done talking to them they suddenly say that we won’t remember anything about this conversation with our sibling… How many years have passed since we last met our sibling? Over 3 years ago? Yeah that’s a really long time and we probably have to wait years to meet our sibling again in person.
Thank you for making this video man, great commentary! And I'm glad some other people are talking about how it sucks. And how it honestly sucks as a kid show, it might lead children to believe stalking is an "okay" behavior because the main character never gets consequences for it.
