How to season a SS pan? Don't! Heat the clean, dry panto the point wherewater will bead and roll around, then add a little oil (if non-stick surface is desired) and food, right away. Works great.
We process our own animals, so in a day we will do 400 lb of meat through the vacuum pack. It's not easy to get the meat especially hamburger into the bag without getting meat and fat on the sealing surface. You have come closer than any videos I have seen at addressing this problem. i brought a Made-in pan, turn the heat on, keep checking the pan temp by a sensor, but the temp rise so slowly, about 6 mins... 50, 60, 70... found out because the bottom is NOT FLAT!!!
Been using my dads Vollrath pans from the 80s he bought for his restaurant in the BVI. Still strong and being used daily. Need to grab me a carbon steel pan.
This is great! If I am waiting for water to boil or an oven to heat up I chop my celery, measure out chicken broth, teaspoon out garlic powder, dice my onions, and get it all set so Cooking is Easy.
